Lots of people using all sorts of different, complicated “gadgets/training aids” all that can actually cause more damage to the horse if not used correctly.
They can be very restricting, not allowing the horse to have their nose infront of the vertical therefore restricting movement through their shoulder, then causing the hindquarters to drag behind and resulting in an unengaged core giving us a hollow back. Everything we don’t want to see!
Below I’ve attached a video of an example of a Kavalcade, very simple to fit and allows the horse to swing through the shoulder and quarters. Allowing freedom to have his head down and out and stretch across his back. Which is required to help aid build his topline.
All aids can result in poor movement if not fitted correctly, please if unsure do not use one until someone can help you understand how the aid works, what it aims to achieve and how to fit one correctly😊!
