Take the four-mile drive around the Safari and come face to face with some of the fastest, tallest and cutest animals around. Stick your tongue out at the majestic giraffes... feed the cheeky ankole cattle... observe the pair of Sumatran tigers... whistle at a pack of dhole... and be amazed at our three African elephants.

Discovery Trail 🦖
Have a wander around the Discovery Trail visiting Red Panda Retreat, Reptile World, Twilight Cave, Creepy Crawlies, Aquarium, Sea Lion Theatre, Penguin Cove and our noisy Lorikeet Landing exhibit. You'll be astounded as you go back in time through our Land of the Living Dinosaurs and Ice Age exhibits! Don't miss our small exotic animals in our hands-on animal encounter, the sea lion show, the reptile talks or the penguin feeds.

Amble around the African Village. See the cheeky meerkats and keep an eye out for our playful ring-tailed lemurs, and fluffy red-bellied lemurs in Lemur Woods, believed to be the largest walk-through lemur wood in the UK!

🎢 Adventure Theme Park 🎠
With over 27 rides and attractions, there is something here to suit the whole family. Test your nerves on Kong, plummet 30m back to earth on Venom Tower Drop, get truly soaked on Wild River Rafting or Zambezi Water Splash or take it easy aboard the galloping zebras on the Congo Carousel ride!

🦁Lion Ridge and Tiger Tropics are open and the carnivores on the Safari Drive are back outdoors.

🎅Santa Safari, including the Grotto and Mrs. Claus’ Craft Club, will run as planned.

Here’s the latest update:

🦁Lion Ridge and Tiger Tropics are planned to reopen and the carnivores on the Safari Drive will be back in their outdoor areas.

🎅Santa Safari including the Grotto and Mrs. Claus’ Craft Club, remains unaffected and will run as planned.

❗Please note that Lemur Woods will remain closed.

Our planned Friendly Animal Encounters will now be held indoors, in our Safari Academy, PLUS we're putting on three 'Meet a Carnivore Keeper' talks for guests to enjoy in the warmth as well 🦁

Lemur Woods, Tiger Tropics & Lion Ridge remain closed and the carnivores on the Safari Drive, including lions, tigers & wild dogs will not be out in their outdoor areas.

❗Important Update❗

We are planning to open this weekend, from Friday 6th - Sunday 8th December, but are continuing to closely monitor the storm affecting the region.

For the safety of our animals and guests, the following areas will be closed on Saturday: Lemur Woods, Tiger Tropics, Lion Ridge. The carnivores on the Safari Drive, including lions, tigers, and wild dogs will not be out in their outdoor areas, and guests will follow a bypass route to avoid these. We plan to reopen these areas on Sunday.

If you are visiting for our Santa Safari event, the Grotto and Mrs Claus’ Craft Club are both indoor experiences and will not be affected.

If you have tickets but cannot travel, please get in touch using our contact form - wmsp.co.uk/about/contact. We will be in touch with Safari Lodges guests separately.
We are currently experiencing a high volume of calls and emails, so we kindly ask for your patience as our teams work to respond as quickly as possible.

Be astounded as you go back in time through the UK’s largest animatronic dinosaur attraction; Land of the Living Dinosaurs! See the story of how the dinosaurs unfolded over millions of year, including Jurassic, Triassic, and Cretaceous periods. This immersive walking trail features over 40 life-size, moving, breathing dinosaurs, including a t-rex, triceratops, stegasaurus and a spinosaurus!
