When buying Heathfield in 1989 there was of course a plan, but as you know how the saying goes about best laid plans. To say that our hearts and souls have been poured into the "Project" that is Heathfield would be a massive understatement, and of course most if not all of our money and time has been needed to get to where we are today. When we started out we were both still in full time NHS employment and every non working hour was put into working in the kennels and cattery, developing the facilities into what we have today. We have along the way had some wonderful Girls work for us, Penny, who "lived in" during the early, difficult years, we still bump into her at the occasional dog show, Many girls have come to us either as work experience from school or college, or starting as "Weekend Girl". We have seen so many, mostly local girls through 6th Form, A levels and University, Lucy, Amy, Helen and Katie. Dawn, Sam and Marcie, who we have seen grow with their own families and more latterly Alena, Hayley, Ruby, Rebecca and Shannon.
Charlotte has of course been with us for many of the last 20 or so years. We have met through those years some wonderful customers and their generations of Dogs and Cats and we thank all of you for your support, many of who have become good friends, as we have seen their children grow and trust us with their animals. Many have expressed surprise at our retirement, particularly after the investment over the COVID period, but we feel the time is now right to admit the "Project" is complete and we can now concentrate on retirement and our own family of dogs. We hope that we will continue to see many of you around in Bewdley and stop and have a chat. We will of course miss every single one of you, especially the dogs and cats, and it would be wonderful if any of "Our Girls" can keep in touch and let us know how your lived have turned out. We hope you all have a very Happy and Healthy New Year.
