I'm sorry but the Chair Paul Wilson should step down, we are a democratic group and Cllr Blagrove was elected by the public to express there concerns. Cllr Paul Wilson has not been elected by the public. This is embarrassing for BTC as I agree with Cllr Blagrove that Bexhill residents should NOT be charged anymore for the absolute disgraceful and disgusting state Rother District Council has done to the public toilets, Cllr Wilson Should not of stopped Cllr Blagrove from talking and I truly believe that Cllr Wilson is a corporate body solely for Rother District Council and not for the interest of Bexhill.

If you've followed us for any length of time, you'll know we ADORE our wonky paws! ❤️‍🩹 And they don't come much more adorable than Lily. 💐

Born blind in one eye, she doesn't know any different and adapts to new environments amazingly well. Lily would be a brilliant addition to any home with other pets or children. 🥰

Her only requirement is a quiet area away from busy roads or secure garden/catio for safety reasons. Alternatively, she would be happy to remain indoors.🐈

Removal of the Bexhill Beacon - 09/12/2024

It’s disheartening to hear that Rother District Council has decided to remove the Bexhill Beacon due to 'unauthorised lightings'. This beacon isn’t just a structure; it’s a cherished part of Bexhill’s history and identity.

Over the years, it has served as a symbol of unity for our town, bringing people together during significant historical moments, such as D-Day commemorations, VE Day celebrations, and most recently, the King’s Coronation. It’s a tradition that connects us with our past and fosters a strong sense of community.

Removing the beacon feels like another blow to Bexhill’s character, as RDC continues to make decisions that diminish what makes our town special.

Rother District Council’s claim that the beacon poses a health and safety risks is concerning. While safety must always be a priority, why has the council not taken the opportunity to manage or light the beacon themselves?

It raises questions about the council’s commitment to preserving the character of Bexhill and the traditions that make our town unique.

I’m not afraid to put my head above the parapet, and I’ve done so many times on various issues concerning our Town. As I have always committed to in my election manifestos, I will continue to stand up for and support the residents of Bexhill—now and always!

We should be preserving our history, not erasing it!

Thank You,
Connor Winter - Independent District & Town Councillor for St Marks

A few things I notice, re Christmas event.

1, bus stops didn't have any signs saying this bus stop is closed, ( When I did the events I informed Stagecoach and then provided Poster saying where's the nearest Bus Stop was and put a temporary
Bus stop by Mace shop.

2, Taxi rank wasn't told and a temporary taxi rank was set up either in Parkhust Rd or at the bottom of Devonshire road.

Was there any real reason to close Devonshire Rd when there was a handful of stalls,

Would of it been better to have Western Road closed and the top of Devonshire Square.

I also noticed that there were no Road closure signs in Western and Devonshire Rd, people complained to me that they couldn't read a sign directly on a corner of a bend.

In all It looked like a good event and as the committee are still learning I hope they will take on board my and some residents and workers comments.

I'm always help to be on the committee if needed

It seems that a RDC Cllr is trying to take credit for the Devonshire Square public toilets, I don't remember seeing her standing outside Devonshire Square toilets with a petition 🤔 and I'm damn sure that she didn't sign the petition too.
