This was on one of my jack Russell posts. So I copied and pasted it.

I was reluctant to post this incase it caused upset but with this heat I feel I need to raise awareness 😞.

I witnessed a dog being pulled from a car in the heat that had died in the car after being left in there with no windows open for god knows how long at a motorway service station .

Water was poured all over it to try and get its body temperature down but it was too late . Its companion in the boot was so distraught and kept barking in distress to get to it.

Please think before you think it’s a great idea to travel with your dogs for a day out in the car 🥺
