Today is National Best Friends Day.
It will be no surprise to you.
That my best friend is my dog Finn.

Obviously the chats are a little one sided.
Every day, he makes me laugh.
He is always there at the door to greet me.

Like all friends, he does have his downsides.
He is not a very good sleep buddy and will give me little room to move.

He wasn't always the well behaved dog, that he is now.
He used to pull on the lead, jump up and have no recall.

Whistle training has helped massively with Finn's recall.

It is a game changer and I can help you teach this to your dog.
By coming to my teen classes.

Last Saturday, I wrapped up my 'Progression 4 week outside course'.
We went to Egerton Park and had 'end of course' drinks at Ruddy Duck Pub.
There were distractions such as kids playing, people and birds everywhere.
There was a lot going on but the attendees did really well.

In my humble and honest opinion, the best part was the pub.
The dogs were well behaved and you would be pleased to know so were the owners 😂.
It is a lovely way to end the last 4 weeks.
Everyone had done amazing.
I did enjoy listening to everyone say how much they had enjoyed the course 😀

If you have a dog that is over- excited when they see every bird, dog or person and struggles with distractions, then this is the course for you.

I am running evening outside class, which starts Tuesday 24th June at 6:30pm.

Every Tuesday for 4 weeks.

There is nothing like this course in Bexhill.

My classes are always friendly. non- judgemental, fun and confidence boosting.

🐾 Important Local Health Alert: Lungworm Detected! 🐾

Happy Tails Vets recently diagnosed a confirmed case of lungworm in our area. 😟 It’s a serious and potentially fatal condition, and we want to make sure all our wonderful pet owners stay informed and protected!

Lungworm can cause sudden illness and, if untreated, can sadly be fatal. It’s often picked up when dogs ingest infected slugs, snails, or even their trails.

💡 Prevention really is better than cure! Regular worming treatments can protect your furry friend from this dangerous parasite.

🚨 Signs to watch out for:
😮‍💨 Coughing or breathing difficulties
😴 Lethargy or weakness
🩸 Unexplained bleeding
🍽️ Poor appetite

👉 Extra tip: Avoid leaving water bowls and toys outside. If an infected snail or slug travels over them, your dog could contract lungworm when they play or drink from them.

If your dog shows any of these signs, or if you’re concerned about their risk, contact us immediately. Our team is here to advise you on the best preventative treatments available.
