Pippa is the oldest member of the Hugo Hair Hut family, but she still does so well. 🥹
We used the catac sling tonight, this not only makes clearing the pads and clipping the nails that much easier it’s also kinder for the elderly dog that struggles to stand for too long. The dog is fully supported and avoids any unnecessary strain on the dog’s joints.

A new dog came to see us tonight …. Louie the cross Pug / Shih Tzu … a little nervous at first …. but within a few minutes Louie was dishing out the kisses 😘

A nice short clip all over which wasn’t easy as Louie insists on sitting down, but we got the job done without the use of a belly strap.

Owners away on holiday, therefore these two are staying for a bit, so only right they get a full groom.

First full groom for little Franklin, and he did so well, although Nelson never far from his side for that moral support.
Not 6 months old yet but apart from the blaster he was a big brave boy. Nails clipped, ear wash, teeth brushed and double shampooed.
Both finished off drying in the sunshine ☀️….

This “terrific trio” 🤎🧡🤍 came back to the hut this week for a full groom including a short clip all over for all 3 at their owners request. Mum and brothers are so so different but equally just as adorable!!

Billy boy!! 🩶🤍

The full works for this beauty tonight. A nice short clip all over after a double shampoo, ear wash, nail clip and pads cleared. We only see Billy 2-3 times a year but look how smart he looks!! He even sat beautifully in the front seat of the car 🚙 for a lift home …

A very much needed tidy trim for the main man.

Typically, Hugo was overdue a bath and brush, however he isn’t a fan and once finished he can’t leave the hut quick enough!!

Tennis 🎾 balls and jumping around in the long grass 🌿🍃is far more appealing to this pawsome pup!!

A new pup came to see us tonight …
Introducing almost 6 month old Teddy 🧸🐾🐾

What a beautiful boy! … he’s owner was quite worried as he’s a little nervous but he was amazing.🤩

With the use of a banded comb, a zoom groom and a rubber brush we were able to take out some of his dead coat. Border terriers have a wire coat so hand stripping is the best method for this breed. The use of a banded comb is gentle and affective and the perfect tool for a pup’s very first groom ..

Nails clipped, pads cleared, ear wash, tidy paws and cleared around the eyes, a double shampoo with lots of bubbles 🫧 🫧 and a splash of doggie cologne ☺️

Well done little Teddy, what a brave boy you were 🫶🏻

A short tidy clip all over for this chap tonight! Wasn’t too happy about sorting out his matted muzzle but with a few treats and some reassurance he was soon like new again! Lovely to see you as always Jake 🫶🏻

This beautiful boy has been coming to see us since he was 4 months old, and tonight we definitely see progress!! So much more tolerant of his face being touched .. still has issues about you touching his front paws, strangely he’s right one is the worst, but he had the full works tonight and was such a good boy 🥰

Took him down a bit shorter and took some length and weight from his ears, Barney left the hut with a nice short clip all over and smelling amazing! 🤩

An overdue full on pamper for darling Pippa tonight including 🦷 teeth brushed 🪥with some delicious liver flavoured doggie toothpaste 😋

Clear pads …. will allow for a few seconds
Nail clip …. absolutely not 😡
Ear wash … tolerated, a few squeals for effect
Double shampoo & rinse .. Loves the bath 🧼 🫧
Happy Hoodie …. No problem
Blaster …. Ok(ish)
Dryer …. tick ✅
Trimmers …. not keen
Clipper .. back only! Legs & belly a definite no go
Scissors ✂️…. will allow reluctantly

The above sums up this little lady.
Lola is not the easiest to groom but she always leaves the hut a clean & happy girl and that’s what is important 😃 🐾🐾

Tonight’s groom (sorry for the blurry after photo)!

Stella was such a good girl, but we did have our work cut out tonight. We worked together and although it took a little longer than normal, Stella left the hut wagging her knot-free tail, cooler, lighter and smelling lovely! ☺️ 🐾🐾

This little lady was my last groom of the week and also before I go off on holiday … 🏝️
Luna is a sensitive soul, but she had an ear wash, a double shampoo and lots of lots of brushing with the use of a rubber brush leaving her coat clean and so shiny … ✨

🖤🐾 The Marvellous Milo 🐾🖤

Haven’t posted photos of this adorable sweet boy for a while, but a full groom which was certainly needed during these hot sunny ☀️ dayz ….
Took he’s body down on a short clip but he’s owner likes his legs longer. Milo was so well behaved and an absolute pleasure to groom … left the hut feeling so much cooler and smelling lovely. 🥰

These two came to see us tonight, both fight for attention so have to make sure they are looked after equally.…
A proper pamper for both including a little brush of their teeth or tooth 🦷 applied some Groomers Professional Coat Revitalise which made their coats just a little extra soft!! 🧡🤍🤎

Toby has not seen us since the beginning of the year and in that time has developed a sudden dislike to having a bath 😳 We adapted the rinsing without the use of the shower and he tolerated that a bit more. 👍🏻

Toby was given the full works tonight and left the hut a clean smart boy! 🐕‍🦺🖤🐾

First full groom 🫧 ✂️ for 11 month old Betsy …

Springer Spaniels need a little less grooming compared to other breeds, however they are prone to having very knotty ears, the common area is found behind the ear.
Betsy was such a good girl tonight and allowed me to remove and break down the stubborn knots on both ears before moving on to give her a proper pamper.

I don’t post each groom anymore as I obviously have my regular pups and the photos would look almost the same, but when owners are kind enough to send me photos from home following their groom I think it’s only right to show them off, right? ❤️

This exceptionally friendly and laid back boy came to the hut tonight … so relaxed he just laid on his side while he had his pads cleared … really??! 😳 … we did it his way though as he was clearly quite chilled … although he does have ticklish paws 🐾 so it took a while 🤦🏼‍♀️ alongside him just never wanting to stand up!! 😂

Such a little sweetheart and way too pretty to be a boy!! ♥️
