Enzo- Our Hero! 🩸

Yesterday, Enzo stepped up to help a critically ill patient in need of an emergency blood transfusion. 🐾❤️ His great temperament and bravery made all the difference and meant we could act quickly for his blood donation.

Did you know your pet could be a lifesaver too? Blood donations from healthy, eligible pets are vital in veterinary medicine.
To be an eligible donor they must meet the below criteria:

Fit and healthy
Between one and eight years old
Weigh more than 25kg
Have a good temperament
Have never travelled outside of the UK and Ireland
Vaccinated
Not on any medication

🐾 Important Update: Insurance Claims 🐾

Dear Clients,

Our wonderful insurance team member, Lou, will be away from the practice for a month from the 25th January. While Lou is usually lightning-fast with processing claims, during her absence, we kindly ask for your patience as our team works hard to handle insurance claims as quickly as possible.

We’re committed to ensuring your claims are processed efficiently, but please bear with us if it takes a little longer than usual. Lou is fantastic at what she does, and her expertise will certainly be missed during this time!

Vaccination Scam: Some of our clients seem to have been contacted by a Bicester number today claiming to be from Hart Vets.
They are saying that they will be prosecuted if their pet is not vaccinated and are trying to charge money for the privilege of booking in.
Please note that this is not from us. Whilst it is advisable, it is not illegal not to have your pet vaccinated.
We are investigating this as a matter of urgency and we must apologise for any distress these phone calls must have caused.
Please ignore these calls and, if your pet is in need of vaccination, please call us directly on 01869 323223.

🎄 Meet Trooper! 🎄

Trooper's journey is one of resilience and love. This brave little kitten was brought to us after suffering a dog attack, but his strength and spirit shone through. After surgery and extensive daily bandage changes, Trooper was signed over to our care and re-homed to his wonderful new family who named him Trooper on November 11th—Remembrance Day. 💖

Since then, Trooper has been showing us just how much of a trooper he really is! He’s currently undergoing laser therapy and making a remarkable recovery with ongoing physio, wound care, and bandage changes. It's incredible what the body can do with the right care! ✨

Our nursing team couldn't resist adding a little holiday cheer to his care with some festive Christmas dressings! Today’s theme: "5 Gold Rings" for the 5th day of Christmas! 💍🎶

Looking for a hedgehog volunteer taxi 🦔

We have a little hedgehog who needs to be transported to Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital today for his continued hospitalisation and treatment. We are looking for a kind volunteer to take him there as soon as possible..

If you are available and willing, please get in touch with the practice to arrange collection etc.

If you do find wildlife in need of veterinary care, please do try and take them directly to Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital.
