What an amazing week we had at Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials.

⭐️Indie was a star and rose to the occasion in his first CCI 4* L. ⭐️

Slight tension at the start of his dressage test but then produced some good work to score 35.

Saturday he really stepped up and jumped round like a pro going all the straight routes apart from when we had to make a quick decision to jump the alternative at the coffin after a bit of a look at the ditch. The weather not being quite on our side meant we went a bit slower but he finished full of running and confidence.

Today he came out feeling great and tried his hardest to jump clear!

What a great way to finish his season and look forward to what 2025 brings.

Busy day Cherwell Competition Centre today with all the horses jumping well.

Karen Bartlett and Margie Gibb’s 5yo Nellie jumped a lovely round in the BN to just touch a pole.

Emma McGlynn’s 5yo Frankie was at her first show and jumped a nice clear in the BN.

Louise Mellor’s Bea also jumped a nice confident round in the BN.

Emma and Jame’s Ludo who is here for schooling jumped a great clear in the Discovery.

Fred’s two girls finished the day with Ibrina coming 3rd in the 1.20m and winning the 1.30m and Lola jumping clear in the 1.20m and an unlucky pole in the 1.30m.

Great run for Indie in the 4 star at NAF International Hartpury Horse Trials this week gaining his qualification for Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials.

Slight tension and harsh marking in the dressage gave us a score we know can be better but he jumped a perfect clear showjumping and then rose to the occasion taking on a massive Xc track that caused lots of problems clear with a few time penalties. Could not be more proud of him with how he took on the challenge and now looking forward to Blenheim 4star Long.

We are going to HOYS!!!

Lola jumped 3 great rounds to finish 5th in the Silver League semi final at Chard today to bag her ticket to the final. 🏅🍾⭐️

So pleased for her owner Fred to get one of his horses to HOYS.

Good couple of days at Addington Equestrian last week.

Lola jumped clear in both the 1.20m and 1.30m for a placing on Friday 📸 and was 4th in the 1.20m on Saturday.

Ibrina wasn’t quite feeling it Friday with the odd pole but back on it on Saturday for a 2nd in the 1.20m and 3rd in the 1.30m. 🥈🥉.

Indie jumped two great rounds on Saturday but had a very unlucky pole in both the 1.20m and 1.30m.

Both girls head to Chard for the HOYS Silver league semi final next whilst Indie heads back to Aston for the advanced at the weekend. 🤞

What a great event for Indie in the 4* at Aston this weekend.

He performed a lovely test on Friday to score a 34. We thought the score might be a bit lower but can’t be disappointed when he tried really hard.

Today he was mega in both the SJ and XC. A very unfortunate pole which he just breathed on and then a super clear xc. The aim was to have a confident run at this level which we have achieved and couldn’t be more pleased with him. ⭐️

Foaling is stressful for anyone but for me it is particularly stressful. I’ve never really got over loosing Areo and Hendrick’s sister all those years ago while Areo was giving birth.

Nina being maiden I guess found the first 48hours of motherhood overwhelming and and for the first 36 hours didn’t eat or drink and no droppings were passed. Panic. Panic on another scale for me having already lost a mare and foal on a different scale!

Running an SME especially and equine one in todays climate is tough and stressful but when things are difficult you need the help from the professionals around you and here stepped in Baileys Horse Feeds and Towcester Equine Vets. Immediately I had an army of people who knew what the were doing and helped my lovely mare and slightly overcooked weak legged foal.

Without these companies and their help and support things would be so much more difficult. We’ve worked with them since Plum Park surgery opened many many moons ago and Baileys since I was 22 which obviously isn’t that long 😜

So thank you to all involved, I have a much happier mare and a foal who’s sassy as already with legs starting to look like they should!

With winter looking like it is finally coming to an end, we have a couple of spaces for full competition, schooling and sales livery available.

⭐️Blue Chip Winter Show Jumping Championships round up⭐️

Great couple of days at Blue Chip last week.

Lola was 4th in the 1.20m on the first day and 5th in the 1.25m qualifier on the second day qualifying for the final. She went a bit green resulting in a couple of poles but super pleased with how she coped with the main arena. 🏅🏅

Ibrina was 2nd in the 1.20m and won the 1.25m qualifier on the first day. She jumped a great round in the final but had an unfortunate pole. 🥈🥇

Hendricks was 6th in the 1.10m qualifier and came 9th in the final. 🏅🏅

Devil jumped a great round to come 7th in the 1m. 🏅

Big well done to everyone that ran a great show at Blue Chips new location Addington Equestrian.
