As you are all probably aware I'm not great at social media posts here! And I'm pretty much retired now!
Anyhow, here's a little update about my little wild child 😆.
After most of the first 6 months of this year off, the child was asked to do some work with me flopping about ( so unfit! ) wearing a sheepskin mitten. The idea is that that my semi healed finger, that no longer works, is held in place by said mitten 🤔....it's worked so far! The other hand which is also a mess is taped together....this has also worked!
The conclusion is that both hands are f*****!! But the show, however sh*te, must go on 😆.
Anyway, in two outings Trixie qualified for the BD Associated Championships and Winter Area Festival.
Looking forward to the Associated Champs on Friday 13th October! Great date!
Hoping everyone has been enjoying the extra bit of summer this September and good luck with everything you do with your horses / ponies.

After such a slow start to my horsey 2023, I've been super proud to receive this beautiful rosette through the post today!
Princess Trixie has certainly never had her name printed on a rosette before!
Thank you to the Arab Horse Society for running the Performance Horse awards and to The Mettlewood Stud for sponsoring it.

Really pleased with Trixies Arab Horse Society Performance Award Points, 8th place in the U.K.
We missed 5 months due to me being a fair weather rider and then breaking my finger so badly the whole hand is yet to function again and we are 14 weeks post surgery!
Annoyingly we are not one of those people constantly featured in H and H who carry on riding with multiple injuries and win everything in their paths. Instead I'm just wallowing in the pain of it all lol!! Busy calculating how many points Trixie could have had if I'd remained focused and in one piece!
Life is never boring! Enjoy your ponies and horses everyone X.

On a cold blowy dark day I schooled the little grubby grey and wondered if I'd ever be bothered to enter another competition! Roll on longer brighter days and then I might be inspired and not ache so much. I so wish I was still 50, things were so much easier!

After marathon cleaning of the wild child horsey, she decided on the morning of the British Dressage Associated Championships, to poo in my hair while I was cleaning more poo off her leg!
A great start! Yuk!
The lorry chose to joke with us about whether or not it wanted to start and finally after staring at it for 5 minutes it chugged into life!
Warmed up the ponio and peaked a bit Early, so felt she was having to dig deep during the test. Some good bits and some not so great bits but a fourth place was a pleasing end to a great Show.
Suitably proud of Trixie.
