We are a family run smallholding and dog boarding kennel. We offer doggy holidays and daycare 🐾

Good afternoon all, what lovely weather we've had today, crisp and fresh! ❄️☀️🐾

Just a little update, we have changed our boarding forms and information sheets to help us ensure all dogs are fully vaccinated and kept up to date with flea & worm treatments as per our boarding requirements.

Our NEW doggy profile/ consent forms are required for all dogs as this is their basic profile and shows they have been introduced to our family here at Dyers Moor.

Our NEW boarding forms are basically going to be used like a boarding pass. We'll require one of these to completed by yourselves each time you book in with us for a holiday. Details on this form include boarding dates, up to date flea and worm treatments etc, we are hoping this will help us manage our records more effectively.

For our regular daycare guests, we have created a NEW daycare form which will be completed by us on a monthly basis when we discuss dates to get booked into the diary. We should have all accurate information required to fill out ourselves but if we have anything missing, we'll message you accordingly. Dates of daycare sessions/ overnight stays will also be included on this sheet too for your reference.

We understand there may be teething problems as expected with anything new so please be patient with us as we try and adopt our new forms ☺️

Bruce - our OSB x Duroc Boar, fathered 11 litters to date, never had a problem serving sows, electric fence Trained 🐷

Pearl - GOS x OSB sow, reared since a young gilt, had 6 litters so far, size of litters range from 9-15 (Last litter of 12 in September 2024). Brilliant mum, electric fence trained 🐷

Gayna - Pedigree OSB sow, (not registered) 5 litters to date including 7 piglets at foot, due to wean in 2 weeks. Fabulous mum and electric fence trained. Litter sizes range from 6-10 🐷

17 week old weaners available, GOS x Duroc, electric fence trained, mix of gilts and boars.

Wishing all of our four legged friends and their lovely owners, a very Merry Christmas! 🎄🐾

We have the pleasure of looking after some guests over the festive period so we'll make sure Santa stocks up on lots of tasty treats 😋 🎅

We have been truly spoilt with cards and presents so feeling very grateful - for those that didn't... there's always next year 😉🤣

An even bigger thank you for all of your support over the past year, we've had some ups and downs but we've come back stronger and we couldn't have done it without you! 🥰🐾

We've got exciting things planned for 2025 and the diary is already filling up! 🥳🐶

Kennel Gallery 2024

We no longer offer meet and greet appointments for new clients but instead require at least one successful daycare trial (more for puppies) ahead of any boarding booking. The reason for this is that we often have reactive/ anxious dogs in our care and allowing strangers to walk through our facility can cause them stress, and the dogs' well-being is our main priority.

During a daycare trial, we have lots of 1 to 1 interaction with your dog/s, allowing them to get used to us, our routine, and see how they settle within our environment. We socialise your dog/s where breed, age, size, and temperament are appropriate to allow them to make new friends if desired.

We provide honest feedback on collection and we will always try our best to work with you, if we feel it is in your dogs' best interest to do so.

Unfortunately not all dogs are suited for a kennel environment and if we feel that your dog is unhappy, we will suggest alternative accommodation for them but we pride ourselves on giving every dog a chance to join our Dyers Moor Farm family.

Yesterday Amy attended a Dog First Aid course with Allwinds Dog First Aid to keep up to date with the latest guidelines and processes should we need them in an emergency. ❤️‍🩹
'Frederick' was very well behaved and stood almost like a statue for Amy to practice some bandage techniques. 🐾
It was a great session and was lovely meeting some other local doggy business owners.
Would highly recommend! 🙌

😋🐷Our Delicious Rare Breed Pork Is Back! 🐷😋

A little bit about our pork...

🌿Our pigs are the perfect combination of breeds including Oxford Sandy & Blacks, Gloucester Old Spots and Duroc. Duroc is a commercial breed and provides a good size carcass and then the mix of OSB & GOS (rare breeds) adds to the delicious flavours. Our pigs are used to keep down our woodland areas which provides them with plenty of enrichment as pigs love nothing more than a dip in a freshly dug wallow! 🐷💧Bruce our resident Boar produces chunky piglets and our lovely sows are great mums, often raising litters of 10 piglets or more! 🐽

The upkeep of our free range pigs does come at an extra cost but we believe the quality and taste of the pork is worth the extra pennies 🌿
