Haven’t put anything up on walks with dogs for ages. Doggy day care is happily jogging along. I’m happy dogs are happy. Just had to say it is so lovely to have Barley for a few days. It’s over a year since he was last with us. He was happy to see us. Especially Steve. He has always had a good bond with Steve. When Teddy and Barley met again (they are litter mates) they weren’t particularly interested in each other but they are happily laying side by side now
Bought a paddling pool for dogs to cool off. They just think it’s a giant drinking bowl 🍲🤪
It is with much sadness that we had to make the decision to put our beautiful boy, Hendrix to sleep today. He had been poorly for a while but had taken a bit of a down turn last night and this morning. Such a desperately hard thing to do but it was the right thing. Our home feels very empty now. 🥰😢
RIP Spider
Decided to take Barley and Ted for s as nice long walk this morning as the weather is so lovely. A great view of Bideford from Littleham Road. On A sadder note we said goodbye to my brother in law’s Parson Jack Russell, Spider, today. He was about 17. So glad we got to spend some time with him when we went camping a couple of weeks ago. He is now buried with former family dogs and cats. RIP Spider
It is with great sadness that i announce the passing of one of my charges. He is called Teddy. I affectionately named him Telly Ted because of his habit of barking at the TV whenever animals appeared and to differentiate him from the other Teddys in my care. He only came to stay with us about 3 weeks ago and seemed fine but did lose his appetite towards the end of his stay. After he returned home he became less well and finally departed a few days ago. My thoughts are with his owners

A few weeks ago Hendrix developed a bit of a cough. Took him to vets last week and he was diagnosed with a significant heart murmur. It’s come on really suddenly as it wasn’t picked up when he had his vaccinations in June. Took him back for check up today and he is now booked in for a heart scan and X-ray next week (££££). He is otherwise well in himself so will see what happens. Poor boy.
A beautiful day today and it is Jackson's 10th Birthday (he still seems like a puppy) So we all went for a birthday walk in Ford Woods. I have 3 visitors this weekend, Little Ted, Big Ted & Barley. Steve drove Hendrix down in the van so he wouldn't wear himself out just walking to the woods. He really enjoyed the walk and kept up well. We met with Nick And Sonja (my niece & Nephew-in-law. Jackson's owners) and Lexi with Cher (my Niece and her boy, Vinnie) and also met up, bu pure chance with my Mum's sister , Catherine. The dogs had a fab time all running together and the humans enjoyed a catch up which we rarely get. A lovely morning. Happy birthday Jackson 🐾
It's been a while since posting anything on facebook. Since May 17th business is picking up a bit more which is great. I have a new boy, Jasper (a Parson Jack Russel who is on his 3rd visit now. A lovely chap with a high pitched bark to rival Jackson. big Ted has been for a few visits since locked down eased. It is so great to see them all. As I have said before, Teddy (Cocker Spaniel) has been continued coming throughout this last 16 months as has Jackson apart from the first Lockdown and my regular walk, Freddie also. Henry & Hamish have also been regularly walked since about December. So things are great. It was a military operation, yesterday to take 4 dogs to the beach at high tide for a cool down. Teddy pent the whole time in the sea. While the rest of us walked up the beach he followed us in the sea. It was a great sight to see him having such a great time. Remember, while it is so hot to walk dogs early on in the shade so they don't over heat. Lets hope for a grand summer
It is with great sadness that I found out that, this lovely dog, Benson passed away on Friday night. He was my very first regular client when I started my walkswithdogs pet sitting and dog walking business back in 2016. To say he was a dog with a big personality is an understatement. He was very lovely but equally had some difficult habits to deal with. Having said that I enjoyed the lovely walks on Instow beach that we had together. I have only walked him a couple of times since the beginning of lockdown last March but I will miss him. My heart goes out to his lovely owner. RIP Benson xx
