Art on wood

I have been interested in wood for many years and first began turning bowls. However a coupe of years ago, after an injury, my wife bought me a pyrography pen. I had a dabble with it but it was a lot harder than I thought so put it away for a few months. When I decided to have another go I really started to enjoy the finished results. I have been asked to do many things from sports teams to animals (especially peoples pets) to portraits.

Basically people send me a photo and after I have turned it into black & white I then draw it onto the wood. Then I start the burning process. This can take many hours depending on the detail. I have also added colour using ink.

My favourite thing to do is anything Man United as anyone will tell you I am very passionate about them!!

I am always looking for new ideas and love a challenge.
