🐶 We've had Lottie staying this weekend and Clyde's loved having her. Lottie has super fast recall so this is great practice for Clyde because his sister Strawberry sometimes has ears that don't work that well. 🥴

Ross and I walked the three of them round one of our favourite places, and then I dropped Ross off locally for his Stonecarving day - apparently he's carving a ravens skull. 🙄😉😅 Sounds really easy for your first attempt at carving in stone doesn't it? 😜.

🌬️ How's your day been? Hopefully you haven't incurred any damage to your homes and have been able to stay home and keep warm!

We've had the log burners on and the candles burning - only one power cut wasn't bad at all. 😊

I'm aware that many haven't been so lucky and some people's roofs have been torn off and trees have destroyed property. 😢

While Clyde has been very easy going about being at home, Strawberry has been noticeably uneasy about her routine change - they are very used to being out a lot and Strawbs won't go to the loo in the garden unless she really has to and the wind just freaks her out so it's a bit of a dilemma. Strawbs has always been extremely sensitive to high winds and loud noises so until it really dies down, she may have to wait.

They have slept, played and wrestled each other nonetheless. They are a great pair of plonkers!

Here's a photo of Ross chopping up some delicious JR beef sausages for the weekend / next weeks walk. I love a bit of prep and better still, when your partner does it! The other photos are them wrestling and Clyde by the fire with his chew.

❤️ When your old wee legs take a bit of time to warm up.

A lovely photo of Ross walking with one of our older dogs at the start of the walk this afternoon. This wee man needs time to warm up before he gets going so Ross walked with him whilst I walked ahead with the others. He soon caught up and lots of sniffing, rolling and zoomies was had by all!

The first part of any walk should be a bit of a warm up, but especially for older dogs or dogs with any kind of joint disease and especially, in cold weather like this. ❤️

🐕 We have had Toby staying with us over the weekend and what a well behaved wee man he is!

Weekends are for new adventures, so we drove up to The Meldons and did the Harehope circular - it's a lovely wee walk, almost 4 miles I'd say with lovely views and a variety of terrains for the dogs. ❤️

We then popped into Innerleithen, and bought ourselves a much needed pair of merino wool socks ( I'll never go back to 'normal' socks since living in Scotland- I only do merino wool or mohair now - DARLING !! As the staff Clothing were so welcoming of dogs, we bought the three in and had a quick coffee and cake before making our way home. There's plenty of space for your dog so do pop in if you are down that way and try to resist their lovely clothes! 🍰 ☕

🐶 Friday afternoon and the dogs had so much fun. The pure delight in the dogs faces this week has been magic. 💞

This week has been one of the best walking weeks for us. It's cold, and that has its challenges, but it's much better than rain and grey skies! 😁

Seeing double 👀👀👀.

Clyde has grown up with Tinto and sees him as his big brother - my heart just melts with these two. They even have matching equafleeces and being black labs, have several similarities ( like walking all over you with something hanging out of their mouth).

🐶 Apparently it's National Labrador Retriever day today so let's celebrate them by posting a photo ( or more ) and tell us what you love most about them. 💞

I'll go first and post some pictures of our boy Clyde, who is now ten months old.

He's a very intelligent dog, thoughtful, eager to please, funny, responsive, sensitive, playful....I could go on 🤩. We adore him and so does Strawberry. 💞
