💕 Some serious messages in here about Christmas time and your dog/s.

A lot of what we find 'fun', is really not fun for your dog and a lot of what we traditionally eat at Christmas is poisonous to dogs.

Ours don't get food scraps or wrapped up in silly Xmas outfits because they don't like it - it's not fun for them.

We have two sofas for them to lie on and seven beds to choose from so that they can take themselves off if they need too. They get some toys and dog treats for Christmas, lots of love and play and long walks.

✨ A little delay in posting this....

🎄We had a busy weekend with dogs walking and boarding with us. On Sunday, we took Percy Pie with us to the Forever Hounds Christmas Fair in Tarbrax ( I love that his Mum gave him some spending money !) so we bought him some treats from a nice lady and won him more treats on the tombola. 😃 👌

We met lots of lovely new people - Strawberry had a photo taken with Santa ( Clyde refused as Santa is far too scary just now ) and they all got treats and presents and we even found wee Malcolm there. 😁💕

Thank you Mark and Mandy for organising such a fantastic day - we hope you raised lots of money and can put your feet up for a few weeks of well deserved rest! 💕🎄🎁✨🎉

🐶 We had to sadly cancel our Adventure walk today - the roads are terrible and it's too cold to be out for hours. Instead, we took our two for a play in the park and whilst Strawberry is now happy snoozing, wee Clyde is a bit more energetic 😲🫣 so we've been doing some scentwork together which he loves! Mark Walker Dog Training - Canine Solutions are running some scentwork courses in the New Year if you are interested!

🐽Scentwork is a great way to build a bond with your dog and help them to feel calmer, more relaxed and for you this means a tired dog - bliss 😂.

❄️🐶It's very cold this morning - we've had the log burner going all night to keep our old house toasty!

❄️Just a wee reminder about a couple of dangers for our dogs during the colder months. ❄️

🙏Antifreeze - Please don't use antifreeze as it's highly poisonous to dogs. Antifreeze is sweet tasting so dogs are attracted to it. It absolutely gives me the fear over winter!

🙏Salt - try to avoid walking your dog through salt and if you do, please rinse your dogs paws before they come inside.

🔥 Lastly, if your dog is elderly, suffers from arthritis and or low to the ground, they will need a good quality coat in temperatures like this. For warmth and comfort we love an Equafleece. 💖

🐾We have done quite a bit of CPD this year. These courses were created by a Vet - Dr.Sophie Bell and I would recommend them to any Dog Walker / Boarder - infact, anyone who has a dog can benefit hugely from these affordable courses. 💓🐶

You can try this at home if your dog is scared of the noise of fireworks... 🐾💕

If your dog is bothered by fireworks try playing the sound of Japanese Taiko Drumming. The rhythmic noise seems to camouflage the bangs better than classical music (based on my highly non-scientific study of one!).

It’s made a huge difference to Charlie who is not a fan of fireworks!
