Our animal teams have been working around the clock for the past few weeks, as we have had so many puppies, kittens and poorly animals that need additional care.

The welfare of the animals is our number one priority, so unfortunately we may take a little longer than usual to respond to enquiries and applications.

If you have applied to home an animal please bear with us. Please also be aware that some animals receive many applications for adoption, so unfortunately, some people may be disappointed not to be chosen.

If you are not successful with the animal you applied for, you may still be considered for an alternative, so please do apply again.

Thank you

Please meet Becks 💙

Becks is 2 years old and has been at Foal Farm since April. He is such a sweet boy who is very inquisitive. Becks loves exploring and foraging. He tolerates being handled as long as it is done respectfully and on his own terms.

If you could give Becks a loving home and have a female bunny looking for a friend, Becks could be the perfect match!

Please see our website to apply.

Meet Spot 💙

Spot is an adorable Staffie cross who is a very loving, sweet natured boy and loves nothing more than being with his people. This poor boy is finding kennels really stressful and is struggling to settle, he really needs a loving home!

Spot is an anxious boy and has displayed separation anxiety when he is left alone and can be destructive. We are therefore looking for a home with adopters who are home for most of the day to help Spot settle in and start to teach him to be more independent.

He has always lived with children and been a loving family dog, he would love to have another family again where he will get lots of love and attention. Spot gets on well with other dogs too, so he could live with a canine companion pending introductions at Foal.

He may be 10 years old but he is very spritely and loves going out for walks. If you are looking for the love and fun that a Staffie has to offer, please complete our online application form.

Good luck to Karin, who is taking part in the Great North Run tomorrow and fundraising for Foal Farm.

"I chose to support Foal Farm because you do so much work for animals and are a great go to for advice and rescues. I rescue both wildlife and domestic animals with my latest being two tawny owls, a badger and a 6 week old kitten.

I started running after completing a couch to 5k course with a local running group back in November and have been running ever since. I completed a half marathon recently in Battersea Park as it would be good practice. As the course was flat I managed to run it in 2 hours 20 minutes, but the Great North Run has hills!"

Good luck Karin, we’re sure you will be amazing! 🤩

Please show Karin your support by sponsoring her if you can.

Meet Skylar and Opal 🩷🩷

Sisters Skylar and Opal are desperately looking for a home together. Sadly, these poor girls were dumped with nobody looking for them. Despite this, they are very friendly and adore people!

We don’t believe that they have seen much of the outside world as they are stressed when out and reactive towards other dogs. Being in kennels has also been very stressful for them and they are struggling to settle.

Although they are both 8 years old they are very bouncy and full of life. We are always honest with our adopters about the reality of having a rescue dog and the challenges it may bring. Skylar and Opal may be a handful when out and about and we need committed adopters who can help them through this. As being in kennels is impacting their stress levels so much, we are hopeful that they will settle down within the home.

We would love to find these girls a home where they can stay together, they love one another so much. They have a lovely nature and are very loving, we are seeking a pet free home but they could live within a family home with older children who are used to bouncy dogs.

If you can give these girls a chance they so need, please complete the online application form or contact the dog team.

Thank you 🙏

On Sunday, we had 17 cats and kittens brought in to the farm.

We had space for 4 of them, which had been booked in. All of them will need medical treatment of some sort. Once they are healthy enough, they will be neutered and microchipped before we find them their forever home.

This is just one example of one day. We get an average of 10 enquiries every day of people wanting or needing to give up a pet or unwanted litter.

We are full to capacity with over 100 cats and kittens looking for homes currently. We simply don't have space to take any more. We have closed our waiting list, as it is so long. We have never known it to be this bad.

There are several ways you can help:

1. We desperately need more cat and kitten food. We are getting through so much every day. You can purchase from our Amazon wish list or elsewhere. Our delivery address is Foal Farm, Jail Lane, Biggin Hill, TN16 3AX.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/14FZENTCNJSR4?ref_=wl_fv_le

2. If you can donate towards the vet bills for treatment and neutering, please do so via our website.
https://www.foalfarm.org.uk/donate/

3. We need good homes for these cats and kittens. If you want to get a cat, please adopt. You can see the cats at the farm or on our website. Please note, we carry out a home check for potential adopters, and we don't rehome to properties on busy roads. Kittens are rehomed in pairs.
https://www.foalfarm.org.uk/cats-needing-a-home/

4. If you already have a cat, or are planning to get one elsewhere, please get it neutered. The problem is so bad in rescue centres across the country as cats are not being neutered, leading to unwanted litters of kittens.

We need your help more than ever before. Any donation, however much will make a difference. If you are able to offer a home to a cat or kittens, please adopt.

Thank you.

We are still seeking a special home for Cane Corso cross puppy Odi. He has been at Foal Farm for around a month now as we had been investigating some health issues as he has been drinking and urinating a lot. Thankfully, after blood tests, everything seems normal so we are now ready to look for another home.

We are being specific about who adopts Odi, as he will be a big powerful boy. He has already shown guarding behaviour around food. As well as basic puppy training, Odi will need ongoing training in other areas.

He is in foster with 2 dogs currently who he gets along well with. However, he has shown some aggression towards dogs who he is not sure on. Ongoing socialisation is a must for Odi. He arrived to us with a bite wound on his face, so he has sadly already had a negative experience.

There are so many Cane Corso's and Mastiff types in rescue. We have had many with behavioural issues and they often wait a very long time in kennels until a special adopter comes along. We really need any adopter for Odi to consider the breed traits and what behavioural issues could arise, and be prepared to train and stick by him.

Odi is a very loving pup who loves a cuddle. He loves food which really helps with training. Toilet training is very much ongoing as he does have accidents occasionally. He is crate trained and will settle when left for short periods. He is a wonderful pup and now he needs a family who can commit to ensuring he becomes a well mannered adult dog.

If you can offer this special boy a home, please apply online.

Meet Jasper 🥰

Jasper was found as a stray after being involved in a road traffic accident. He was taken to the vets and found to be an un- neutered male that was not microchipped. Luckily his injuries were not too extensive and after spending four weeks in the care of the vets he is now ready to find his forever home.

Jasper is a friendly boy. Although he took a bit of time to settle here after spending so much time at the vets, he has now found his feet he is showing off his gentle and affectionate personality. Jasper is a lively and playful boy but his favourite thing to do is chill out in his bed, or given the opportunity, lay on your lap!

If you can offer Jasper a home with access to a safe garden, please apply online.

Our shops provide vital income to support the welfare of our animals.

We are looking for people to join our friendly team in our offsite charity shop at Roundway in Biggin Hill Valley.

As well as working on the till, you may be required to help with sorting donations. A certain level of fitness is needed, as the job may involve moving boxes and crates around. The shop can get very busy, so we are looking for someone who is efficient and capable alongside being friendly and helpful. We currently need someone to help on Wednesdays, although some level of flexibility would be desirable. If you are interested in becoming part of the team, and can commit to regularly volunteering each week, please submit an application form.

Meet Pickles and Candice 😻

Candice came to Foal Farm with her brother Pickles after their owner sadly became unwell and had to go into a hospice.

They had lived with their previous owner for 7 years since they were kittens so understandably, were confused when they first arrived at Foal Farm. After getting over their initial nerves they quickly showed off their true personalities.

It’s clear to see that this gorgeous pair have had a wonderful life and been raised very well by their previous owner. We would love to see Candice and her brother Pickles back in a loving home.

Please see our website if you would like to apply to adopt Pickles and Candice.

It’s just 4 weeks until our Dog Team do their Skydive on Saturday 28th September at Headcorn Airfield 😱

Lisa, Hayley, Gemma and Andreas have mixed feelings - they are nervous, scared and excited. We will be taking bets on who screams the loudest!!

The team are really pushing themselves out of their comfort zone to raise money for the animals in our care - so if you can spare a few pounds to sponsor them it will mean the world to them.

Please share this appeal with your friends and family so we can try and hit our target to cover our vet bills for one month.

Thank you 🙏

Our dog team are doing a skydive to raise money for our animals. Rescues are in crisis with more animals needing our help than ever before.

Welcome to Foal Farm Animal Rescue

Friends of Animals League was formed in Biggin Hill over 50 years ago. Originally created to care for unwanted dogs, Foal Farm has expanded to provide sanctuary to small animals, cats, horses and farm animals. At Foal Farm all animals are seen as equal and in addition to rescuing animals we also promote animal welfare and vegetarian/vegan life choices.

We operate a strict NON-DESTRUCT POLICY. Animals available for rehoming are always vaccinated, neutered and microchipped before leaving Foal Farm; any animal unsuitable for rehoming is free to live the rest of their natural lives as a permanent resident.
