Bruce came in for his Christmas bath today 😃

Bruce is a lovely little French bulldog who I’ve had the pleasure of grooming for a while now 😃 and today it was time to make sure he’s looking good and smelling fresh for Santa Paws! 🎅

He had a warm relaxing bath with some baby powder scented shampoo and conditioner 🧼 and he seemed to really enjoy a good soak today 😃 once he was rinsed off, I wrapped him in a towel and dried him using my standing dryer. He got himself comfy and let me get to work. He’s so laid back, and he never makes any fuss 🥰 he was a superstar!

As a finishing touch, I sprayed Bruce with some doggie cologne and gave him a cool bandana to go on his collar. I hope he’s feeling fresh for the Christmas period 😊

Lola came in for her festive trim today 😃

Lola is a 2-year old spaniel who I groomed for the first time today 😃 she is absolutely beautiful, and I couldn’t wait to meet her and give her the pamper she deserved!

First up, after a lot of cuddles and fuss, I gave Lola a warm, bubbly bath using some aloe vera shampoo and conditioner 🧼 as Lola is a spaniel who loves going out and getting dirty in bushes and puddles, she really needed a good scrub 😋 though it’s like I always say, a dirty spaniel is a happy spaniel. She seemed to really enjoy her bath 😃 she particularly liked the water faucet on her head!

Once she was all rinsed off, I gave her a quick drying sesh with the standing dryer which didn’t take long at all. I then gave her a little tidy up using my thinning scissors, particularly focusing on her chest and bum areas, as these parts can get particular hairy and messy! I opted for a scissor trim as Lola still has her puppy coat 🥲 and it’s so beautiful! If I clipped her coat, it would ruin that soft and fluffy texture, so using my thinners to tidy her up seemed like the best option!

Lola was an absolute star for her first groom today ⭐️ I gave her a good girl bow for being so well behaved 🎀 and a spray of doggie cologne too! It was a pleasure meeting her today. I hope Lola and her family have the most wonderful Christmas 🎄 and an amazing 2025!

Cav the cavapoo came in for his Christmas groom today 😃

This was my first time grooming Cav, and I was really happy with the transformation 😃 he stood so still for me, and took it all his stride.

When Cav arrived, I gave him some fuss and cuddles and then got his bath ready. I washed him using some aloe vera shampoo and conditioner, which is great for nourishing the skin as well as the coat 🧼 Cav stood so well in his bath, and seemed to relax quite quickly.

Once he was all rinsed, I dried him off using a standing dryer. He wasn’t too phased by the dryer and seemed okay with me brushing him 😃 he wasn’t too keen on having his mid-back brushed, which his owner warned me about, so I decided that I was going to muzzle him during his groom just to be safe.

After his drying sesh, I fit Cav with a muzzle and clipped his body and legs. He was really well behaved during his haircut 😃 I was really proud of him. He didn’t freak out once, he just stood nicely. I used my scissors to trim his legs, paws and his face, and the transformation was really satisfying. I hope he’s feeling nice and comfy after his groom 😊

A huge thankyou to Cav’s owners for trusting me with your dog today 🙂 I’m really proud with how he behaved, considering it’s a brand new place for him, with a new groomer. I gave him a festive bandana as a finishing touch for being a good boy. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas 🎄 and a Happy New Year!

Rodney came in for his Xmas groom today 😃

After a warm relaxing bath with some baby powder scented shampoo and conditioner 🧼 he had a long drying sesh with the standing dryer and was brushed out until he was big and floofy!

Once all dry; I grabbed my clippers and clipped his coat with a comb attachment leaving a nice bit of length to protect Rod from the cold temperatures ❄️ after his haircut he looked much smarter and ready for Santa Paws! 🎅

Bonnie the cocker spaniel came in for her Xmas groom today 😃

After lots of fuss and cuddles, she had a warm, bubbly bath with some baby powder scented shampoo and conditioner 🧼 and a quick snooze whilst the standing dryer was drying her 😴

Once she was all dry, it was time for Bonnie’s haircut! I reverse clipped her body, leaving a beautiful smooth finish, and trimmed her legs, paws, tail and ears with my scissors. Bonnie was a superstar throughout her groom 🥰 she always is! I sprayed her with some doggie cologne as a final touch, and then it was time to contact her owners for pickup! 🚗

It’s always lovely seeing Bonnie 🥰 she’s such a sweetheart, and has a lovely temperament. She always behaves, and her coat is so beautiful! I hope Bonnie and her family have a wonderful Christmas 🎄 and an amazing 2025 ahead!

Dexter the spaniel came in for his Xmas groom today 😃

Dexter’s coat is sooooo beautiful 🥲 he’s like a little model doggo! Dexter’s owner requested a handstrip, so before his bath I grabbed my handstripping tools and stripped away his undercoat.

After I had stripped away as much of his undercoat as I could, I bathed Dexter using some baby powder scented shampoo and conditioner 🧼 and rinsed him off throughly. I then dried him using my standing dryer and a soft brush.

To finish off Dexter’s groom, I grabbed my scissors and tidied up his paws and legs, trimming the feathers at his owners request. I then thinned out the hair on his chest and ears, and also took some length off his tail. As a finishing touch, I sprayed Dexter with some doggie cologne and fit him with a cute bandana! Dexter then had a little run around in the garden before pickup! 🚗

It was a pleasure meeting Dexter and his owner today 😃 I thoroughly enjoyed his groom, and I really hope he feels better after his pamper! I hope Dexter and his loved ones have a wonderful Xmas 🎄and a Happy New Year!

Harley came in for a full groom today 😃

Harley is a beautiful black cockapoo who I’ve had the pleasure of grooming a couple of times in the past. She’s very docile, and friendly, so I was excited to give her an Xmas groom! 🎄

For her bath, I used some baby powder scented shampoo and conditioner to help fluff out her beautiful coat. Once rinsed, I then dried her with my standing dryer, and gave her a good brush with my slicker brush. She was as good as gold 🥰 and stood so nicely as I brushed her.

Once Harley was all dry; I grabbed my clippers and trimmed her with a comb attachment 😃 I then used my scissors to trim her legs, paws and her face. Harley’s coat was so beautiful and woolly; it was a dream to work with 🙂 and Harley herself is such a sweetheart! As a finishing touch, I sprayed her with some doggie cologne and fit her with a trendy little bandana, and then it was time for pickup! 🚗

Grooming Harley was a great way to end my work day 😃 she’s so well behaved, and very calm, she makes the job so easy. It was a pleasure seeing her today; and her owner Vicki 🙂 I hope you all have a lovely Christmas 🎄 and a Happy New Year!

Tadhg came in for a full groom today 😃

Tadhg is a bonkers but incredibly lovable springer spaniel whose smile can really light up a room 😃 and today he came to my parlour for his Christmas groom 🎄

After he’d had a run around the garden with the zoomies, Tadhg had a bubbly warm bath with some baby powder scented shampoo and conditioner 🧼 he seemed to really relax in there which was lovely to see! 🥰

Once he was all dry, I used my standing dryer and blaster to dry him off which didn’t take too long 🙂 I then grabbed my clippers and reverse clipped his coat, which left a beautiful smooth finish. I then used my scissors to tidy up his legs and feet, and also to square up his ears. As a finishing touch, I sprayed Tadhg with some doggie cologne and then it was home time! 🚗

It’s always an absolute pleasure having Tadhg in the parlour 😄 he matches my barmy energy, and you can’t help but smile at him. I hope Tadhg, Aaron, Gemma and their family have an awesome Christmas 🎄 and a great 2025 ahead!

Milo the Labrador came in for a bath, dry and de-shed today 😃

Milo wasn’t too keen when arrived, I think he was feeling a little anxious, but once he was in the parlour with me he saw that there’s nothing to be afraid of 🙂

Milo had a warm and bubbly bath with some baby powder scented shampoo and conditioner, and a relaxing drying session with the standing dryer & blaster. After a quick de-shed with the furminator, Milo was looking nice and fresh ready for Santa Paws 🎅

Pepper and Biscuit came in for full grooms today 😃

Pepper and Biscuit are a couple of cockapoo gals who I’ve had the pleasure of grooming for a while now 🙂 I absolutely love these girls, and today it was time for their festive grooms! 🎅

They both had warm soapy baths with some baby powder scented shampoo and conditioner 🧼 which they seemed to really enjoy. I then dried them using a standing dryer whilst brushing them with a slicker brush at the same time. They always take this as an opportunity to have a quick snooze! 😴

For their cuts, I trimmed Pepper and Biscuit’s coats using a comb attachment on my clippers. I clipped their bodies and their legs and then blended with my thinning scissors. I then used my straight scissors to tidy round their paws and take some length off their ears. I then trimmed their faces used my straight scissors to sculpt some shape while using my thinners to remove some volume. By the end they both looked neat and tidy, and ready for Xmas!! 🎄

It’s always a pleasure grooming Pepper and Biscuit 🥲 I absolutely adore them! I hope Pepper, Biscuit, Vickie and their family have a wonderful Christmas 🎄 and a Happy New Year!!

Atlas and Ajax came in for full grooms today 😃

Atlas and Ajax are two beautifully crazy cockapoo puppies who have visited my parlour once before for a puppy trim, and today it was time for their first full groom 😃 I couldn’t wait to see how they’d look after being clipped.

Firstly, they both had warm relaxing baths with some baby powder scented shampoo and conditioner (not at the same time 😄), and they both seemed to really enjoy it. I then dried them using a standing dryer and a slicker brush to get rid of any curls or knots that cockapoos are so susceptible to. Ajax in particular really liked the dryer, he was falling asleep! 😴

For their cuts, I used a peach comb attachment on a 30 blade; and trimmed their bodies and legs. This took a fair bit of length off, but still left enough to maintain that lovely fluffy texture 😊 for their paws I used my straight scissors to tidy them up; also using my scissors to trim their hair tails, ears and faces. Once they were all finished, I sprayed them both with some doggie cologne and then it was time for pickup! 🚗

The boys absolutely smashed their grooms today 😃 I was expecting a little bit of chaos with two puppies but they were both very well behaved 🥰 this is only their second time at a groomers and I was so proud of them!

Hettie came in for a full groom today 😃

Hettie is a beautiful golden cockapoo who I’ve been grooming for a while now, and today it was time for her Xmas haircut 🎄

After a relaxing warm wash in the bath, with some banana scented shampoo 🍌 and conditioner, I dried her using the standing dryer and a slicker brush. Brushing out curls can be time consuming, but it’s definitely worth it when it comes to the cut 🙂

Once Hettie was all dry, I grabbed my clippers and used a comb attachment to trim her body and legs. I tidied up her paws, tail and face using my straight scissors before blending with my thinners. Hettie was as good as gold during her groom 😃 she used to find it quite nerve-wracking but now she just gets on with it.

It’s always nice seeing Hettie 🥰 I hope she feels better for the festive period. I hope Hettie and her family have a wonderful Christmas 🎄 and a Happy New Year!

Ernie came in for a handstrip today 😃

Ernie is an incredibly cute wire-haired Jack Russell, and he’s been to my parlour once before in the summer 😃 today he came in for his festive groom and I couldn’t wait to get started.

First up, I had to give this cheeky soldier a big cuddle as he’s just so dang cute 🥹 but then I actually had to do some work. So I grabbed my handstripping knife and began stripping that undercoat out. I then used my thinning scissors to tidy up any wispy areas to remove some volume. Ernie was so well behaved for his trim 🥰 he just sat down and let me get to work, occasionally giving me a friendly doggo kiss!

Once his trim was all finished, I plonked this little star in the bath 🧼 and gave him a wash using some bright white shampoo, and conditioner. I then dried him quickly with the standing dryer and a soft brush. Ernie wasn’t too keen on the dryer; but after a few cuddles he was fine 😄 once he was finished, it was time to give him a festive bow 🎀 spray him with some doggie cologne, and then contact his owner for pickup! 🚗

It’s always a delight seeing Ernie 🥲 he’s absolutely beautiful! He’s always very affectionate, and just a dream to work on. I hope Ernie, his owner Hayley, and all their loved ones have a wonderful Xmas 🎄 and an amazing 2025!

George came in for a full groom today 😃

George is an absolutely beautiful Cavalier who made his first trip to my parlour today 😃 and not to sound dramatic, but I would absolutely die for him….

After a massive barrage of cuddles from me it was time for George’s bath 🧼 today I used some baby powder scented shampoo which George made a valiant effort to lick up 😂 I also used some conditioner too to make his silky coat extra shiny! ✨

After a short drying session under the standing dryer (with a happy hoodie fit on his beautiful head), it was then time for his trim! So I grabbed my clippers fit with a 5f blade and I trimmed the top and sides of his body. I decided I wanted to leave a bit of length on his tummy and on his chest, so I left those to my thinning scissors. I tidied his paws with my straight scissors, also taking some length off of his tail and his ears, and before he knew it it was time to contact his owner Janet for pickup! 🚗

It was an absolute delight meeting Janet and her dog George today 😃 he is absolutely stunning, and so friendly and affectionate!!

Digger came in for a full groom today 😃

Digger is a handsome ol’cocker spaniel who I’ve had the pleasure of grooming a few times before 😃 he is full character, and always has such a playful aura about him. Today I was looking forward to giving him his Xmas pamper!

For his bath, I washed Digger with some baby powder scented shampoo 🧼 which he seemed to really enjoy (he wanted to lick it up!) I then used some conditioner to bring out that silky texture in his coat. Digger was very relaxed in the bath, he looked so sleepy 😴

Once he was all rinsed off, it was time to dry him off using my standing dryer. As he dried, I brushed him with my slicker brush which hurried the process along a bit. Digger had a little nap at this point 😂 sleepy boy!

For his cut, I grabbed my clippers and did a reverse clip. I find this leaves a much nicer finish on spaniel coats, leaving them looking smooth with no clipper lines. I tidied up his legs and his paws with my scissors and also took some length off of his face and ears. Digger looked so smart afterwards! 🥰 As a final touch I gave him a quick spray of some doggie cologne before contacting his owner for pickup! 🚗

It’s always lovely seeing Digger, he really is a lovely dog 🥲 he always makes me chuckle with his sass! A huge thankyou to his owner Thomas for coming today, I really appreciate it 😃 and thankyou for my Xmas treats too!! 🍫

Nacho came in for a full groom today 😃

Nacho is a beautiful senior doggo who I’ve had the pleasure of grooming for a while now. He does so well for his age, and is a very friendly and sweet doggo. I always look forward to seeing Nacho and his owner Lisa, and today I couldn’t wait to give him his festive groom! 🎄

Today I gave Nacho a bath using some bright white shampoo, which is great for emphasising brighter coats. I also used some conditioner to make his coat extra silky! Once he was all washed and rinsed, I dried him under the standing dryer whilst giving him a good brush.

Once Nacho was all prepped, I gave him his Xmas trim using my clippers and scissors. As Nacho is an elderly doggo, I try to ensure he sits down regularly during his grooms to make the experience more comfortable for him.

Nacho is always a delight to have in the parlour 🥰 he’s so well behaved, and just lets me do my job. I was really happy with how today’s groom turned out, and I hope he’s feeling more comfortable! 🩵

All rise for Princess Fri Fri 👑 yes Frida came in for a full groom today 😋

Frida requires no introduction, for she is a boss 😎 and today it was time for the boss to get her Xmas trim!

Firstly I gave Frida some fuss and cuddles (which I’m not sure if she liked or not…I’m going to assume she did). I then plonked Frida in the bath and gave her a wash using some baby powder scented shampoo 🧼 and I also conditioned her which she seemed to really enjoy (she was doing little twirls) 💃

Frida then had a little drying session under the standing dryer; and fell asleep 😂 she saw her opportunity and had a snooze on the towel whilst I dried her. Though when it was time for her cut I did have to wake her, sorry your highness 👑

So I grabbed my clippers and trimmed Frida’s body and legs. I then used my scissors to tidy up her paws and her face, leaving her looking nice and tidy 😊 overall I was really happy with how Frida’s groom went. I hope she’s having a nice little nap now after her royal pamper!

Norman came in for a full groom today 😃

Norman is a beautiful black cross breed who I’ve had the pleasure of grooming for a while now. He’s so docile, and never makes of fuss of the process. Today I was really looking forward to give him a lovely pamper!

For Norman’s bath, I used some banana scented shampoo and conditioner 🍌 I then rinsed him off and dried him using the standing dryer along with my slicker brush. He isn’t a big fan of having his face dried, but honestly what dog is 😄

For his cut I used a clip attachment on my clippers and got to work on his body. I then scissored the legs, and thinned out to blend. I took significantly more hair off of his chin today at his owners request, as over time it had gotten a little matted. Norman looked so much better after his groom 🙂 and I hope he feels better for it too.
