Basil came in for a full groom today 😃

Basil is a beautiful black mixed breed doggo, who has the most captivating eyes. He has a schnauzer-like muzzle too which really adds to his cuteness, he’s bloody adorable 😄
Today I couldn’t wait to give him his regular tidy up.

After some fuss and cuddles, I bathed Basil using some baby powder scented shampoo. I also added some conditioner in there to make his coat extra silky and shiny ✨ Basil is always a star in the bath ⭐️ he isn’t too keen on his face being rinsed but we get there in the end.

After a short drying session with a standing dryer, I clipped Basil using a 5f blade, and used my scissors to tidy up his face and paws. In the end he looked very strapping and handsome 🥰

Basil’s always a pleasure to have in the parlour 😃 he’s no trouble whatsoever and always puts a smile on my face. I look forward to seeing him soon for his next groom!

Nelly came in for a full groom today 😃

Nelly is a stunning chocolate brown cockapoo who has been coming to my parlour for a while now 😃 it’s always a pleasure having her, and she’s always so well behaved, she’s a delight and I love having her as my company on a chilly Monday morning ❄️ Today I was looking forward to giving her lots of fuss, and a good pamper! 🧼

Before her bath, I gave Nelly her fair share of cuddles 😄 I think she was already sick of me by the 2 minute mark, charming!!
I then gave her a refreshing warm bath with some baby powder scented shampoo, and I used some conditioner also. Nelly loves her baths 🛁 she stands so nicely and lets me give her a good scrub! We had the radio on, and she was quite happy relaxing in there.

Once she was all clean and rinsed 🚿 I dried her with a standing dryer and a slicker brush, to brush out those dastardly curls, leaving her coat looking shiny and silky. After she was dry, I used my clippers and scissors to give her a lovely haircut. She looked so neat and tidy afterwards ⭐️ Nelly really is a pro at being groomed, I’m always so proud of her when she’s finished. Once I had contacted her owner for pickup, I sprayed her with some Xmas doggie cologne and let her have a wander around the garden to relax.

Nelly is a delight to have in the parlour. It’s always lovely seeing her and her owner 🙂 I really appreciate their business, and I hope they have a lovely Christmas and New Year 🎄
I look forward to seeing them in January for Nelly’s next haircut.

Luna came in for a bath, dry and de-shed today 😃

Let me ask you a question…have you ever seen a Labrador mixed with a Corgi before?? 👀
……..no you haven’t, stop lying! 😝

Well Luna is a beautiful, black, Labrador-Corgi cross, who visited my parlour for the first time today for a good wash and de-shed. I couldn’t wait to meet her 😃 especially as I’ve never encountered a mix breed like this before.

Once I’d stopped sobbing over her cuteness (I’m lying I promise, just being dramatic as per usual), I gave her a warm relaxing wash using some ‘big and beautiful’ shampoo 🧼 , which is specially designed for double coated dogs. I also gave her a deep conditioning to give her coat that extra shine! 🚿

Once Luna was all rinsed off, I used the standing dryer and also my blaster to dry her. This helps blast out the dead undercoat, which helps prevent moulting. I then used a furminator tool to finish the de-shedding process, leaving her coat looking nice and shiny! ✨

Luna was an absolute pleasure to groom today 😃 it was lovely meeting her, and her owner too. I look forward to seeing Luna again when she next needs a groom.

Bailey the cockapoo came in for a full groom today 😃

Bailey is a handsome (and very shaggy) cockapoo who visited my parlour for the first time today 😃 I couldn’t wait to meet him and give him the refreshing pamper he deserved! 🧼

First up he had a lot of cuddles and fuss before entering the cabin 🙂 and then he had a lovely warm wash with some baby powder scented shampoo and some conditioner. He was absolutely fab in the bath! 👍

He then had a relaxing drying session under the standing dryer, in which I brushed him using a slicker brush to brush out those curls. As you can see in one of the pictures, Bailey did actually fall asleep during this! 🤣 I take it as a compliment to be honest!

Bailey then had a nice smart haircut, where I clipped his body using my clippers and then tidied up his legs, paws and head with my scissors. Bailey was an absolute star during his groom today 🥲 such a big gentle giant!

It was a pleasure meeting Bailey and his owner today 😃 I look forward to giving Bailey his next groom in a couple of months time.

Oscar the cavapoo came in for a full groom today 😃

Oscar is a beautiful white cavapoo who made his first ever trip to my parlour today 😃 He’s been groomed quite a few times in the past, so I’m hoping he finds the grooming process easy enough. Either way I was looking forward to meeting him and giving him a good pamper! 🧼

After some fuss and attention courtesy of moi 😁 I gave Oscar a relaxing warm bath using some coconut scented shampoo 🥥 I also gave him a thorough conditioning. As he is a poodle cross I find conditioner essential, as their hair is more susceptible to knots & matts. Once he was all rinsed I gave him a short drying session under the standing dryer, whilst I brushed him with a slicker brush. I was surprised at how quick he dried, I was expecting him to take longer 😄

Once all dry and fluffy, I gave Oscar a quick trim using my clippers fit with a comb attachment, and I occasionally used my scissors to add some shape, particularly to his legs and face.

Oscar was a superstar during his groom ⭐️ he was really well behaved and even gave me a few kisses bless him 😄 I think we made friends!

It was a pleasure meeting Oscar and his owner today 😃 I look forward to seeing him for his next groom soon!

Bonnie came in for a full groom today 😃 and apologies in advance for my terrible photography….it’s been a long week! 😂

Bonnie is an absolutely gorgeous black and white cocker spaniel who has the friendliest and most affectionate nature. She’s always in such a playful mood, and always lets me groom her without issue 🩷

Today Bonnie had a lovely warm bath in some raspberry scented shampoo, and I also used some conditioner to maintain that beautiful silky texture. I then dried her using my standing dryer, and with the help of a slicker brush she was dry in no time!

I then used my clippers and my scissors to give her a lovely short trim 🥰 I took her ears shorter today at owners request, so I thinned the hair on her head to blend it all together. After a couple of hours she was looking so smart, and was definitely ready for a run around outside! 🌲

A huge thankyou to Bonnie’s owners Joe and Rebecca for trusting me with your lovely dog 🙂 and many apologies for the terrible dancing you witnessed on pickup, what an awful sight! 😵

I look forward to seeing Bonnie again soon when she next needs a good groom! 😊

Poppy came in for a full groom today 😃

Poppy is a beautiful wire haired Jack Russell who has been to my parlour many times before 😃 she’s always so laid back and affectionate, so I was really looking forward to giving her a smooth and tidy groom today.

I gave Poppy a lovely warm bath using some baby powder scented shampoo; and I also gave her a good conditioning also. She was trying to lick the shampoo off her muzzle whilst I was rinsing her 😂 I think it smelled appetising!

After a short drying session under the standing dryer, I gave Poppy a smart little trim using my clippers and some scissors. I made sure to give Poppy lots of fuss and attention during and after which she enjoyed, and before she knew it I was spraying her with doggie cologne and contacting her owners for pickup! 🚗

It’s such a pleasure giving Poppy a groom, she really is a delight. She’s very well behaved, and always lets me do what I need to do ⭐️

It’s also lovely seeing her owners Christine and David too 🙏 thank-you so much for bringing her to me, I really do appreciate it! Always lovely seeing you.

Grady came in for a bath, dry and deshed today 😃

Grady is a gorgeous golden retriever who visited my parlour once before for a good wash, and a de-fluff! Today he was back again for another pamper, and I couldn’t wait to see him.

Grady had a very bubbly bath time today with some ‘big and beautiful’ shampoo (that’s literally the name 😂 it’s for double coated breeds and I have no idea what the scent was….but it was nice 👌).

After a thorough lathering, I rinsed and shampooed him again, making sure I really delved my hands in that double coat of his and throughly washed him. I also used some conditioner to make his coat light and fluffy.

Grady soaked me many times during his bath time 🫧 so we ended up sharing the dryer!
I used my drying blaster, and my standing dryer to thoroughly dry him and to also blast out any dead compacted undercoat that may be laying underneath. My parlour may have looked like a snow globe afterwards but it was worth it 😄 his coat looked so much better and it was bloody satisfying!

I gave Grady a quick going over with a slicker brush and a coat king, but to be honest most of his undercoat was removed during the drying stage with the blaster. I used my chunkers to tidy up his skirt, feathers, chest and bum area, and before he knew it his groom was all finished! I sprayed Grady with some doggie cologne, and then it was time for pickup! 🚗

It’s always a pleasure seeing Grady and his owner Carol 😃 I really appreciate you both coming!
I look forward to grooming Grady again when he next gets all smelly and needs a wash! 🧼

Tadhg came in for a bath and dry today 😃

Tadhg is a beatifically bonkers springer spaniel who has the most infectious smile on him! 😄 You can’t help but fall in love with this doggo. Today he came in for a good wash!! 🧼

Today Tadhg had a nice relaxing warm bath with some raspberry scented shampoo (which he kept trying to lick up 😂), and I also used some conditioner to make those ears of his extra floppy! Tadhg was a superstar in the bath 😃 he always chills out in there with a big smile on his face!

After a short drying session with the standing dryer, I sprayed him with some doggie cologne and then it was home time! 🚗

I love this dog 😂 how can you not fall in love this with doggo with that big smile of his!
I hope he smells nice for a good while this time (and doesn’t get himself into trouble!) 😂

It’s always a pleasure grooming Tadhg 🩵 I look forward to seeing him again soon when he next needs a pamper! 🧼

Pepper and Biscuit came in for full grooms today 😃

Pepper and Biscuit are two gorgeous cockapoos who I absolutely adore!! 🥹 I’ve known them for a long time, and I love that they have grown to really trust me and feel comfortable here. They’re like my little buddies 💜
Today I couldn’t wait to give them a good pamper!!

Once I prepped the bath and their shampoos etc, the girls had nice relaxing warm baths with some baby powder scented shampoo, and I also gave them a good conditioning too. They’re both good as gold in the bath 💛 they know the drill by now, so they get themselves settled quite quickly and they relax. I then used my standing dryer along with a slicker brush to dry them, brushing out those curls and knots that’s poodle crosses are so susceptible to.

Once the girls were all prepped, I gave them a good trim using my clippers and scissors. They both behaved so wonderfully, as they always do, and they left a big pile of dog hair behind as they got the zoomies in the garden 😂 I sprayed them with some vanilla doggie cologne as a finishing touch and then it was officially time for pickup! 🚗

It really is such a pleasure seeing Pepper and Biscuit, and their lovely owner Vickie. The girls always put me in a good mood and it’s a lovely way to start the week! 🙂 I look forward to seeing them again in December for their Xmas trim! 🎄

Digger came in for a full groom today 🙂

Digger is a beautiful brown cocker spaniel who has one of the most beautiful doggo faces I’ve ever seen in my life 🥲 he has eyelashes to die for, and a beard that many wizards would evvy (he does kind of resemble a wizard, you can’t deny that 😂) and today I couldn’t wait to give him a good pamper!

Once I had prepared the bath, I gave Digger a warm relaxing wash using some baby powder scented shampoo, and some conditioner 🙂 he seemed to really enjoy his bath today 🧼 he stood nicely and let me lather and rinse him without issue.

I then dried him using a standing dryer, and my new blaster (OBSESSED), and I’m not going to lie…..Digger nearly fell asleep!! 😴

I then gave Digger a nice smart trim, and when he was all finished there was a mountain of hair left behind 😄 it was crazy. Digger was so well behaved throughout, he’s always so laid back, and never any trouble whatsoever 💛

A huge thankyou to Digger’s family for visiting me today 🙂 he’s such a pleasure to groom! I look forward to seeing you all again soon in December for Digger’s Xmas groom! 🎄

Claudia came in for a full groom today 😃 and her brother Dylan came along too for a bath and dry!

Claudia is a beautiful white maltipoo, and she has been to my parlour once before for a good trim 😃 and today she returned for a calm and relaxing wash and a haircut!

Along for the ride is her brother Dylan, who is a beautiful sausage dog who has never been to a groomers before! Being a short haired breed this is not uncommon, as all they need is a regular wash 🙂 and today I was really excited to meet him and make his first grooming experience a happy one!

First I bathed Dylan, who I gave a good wash using some baby powder scented shampoo. I also used some conditioner to make his coat extra shiny! ✨ After a quick towel dry and a brief session with the standing dryer it was then Claudia’s turn for a groom!

Claudia had a relaxing warm bath with some bright white shampoo, which is amazing for white haired breeds 😃 I also used some conditioner to help fluff out the coat. I then used a standing dryer and a slicker brush to dry her beautiful coat, making it puffy and fluffy for her trim! I then used my clippers to trim her body and legs, before tidying her further with my scissors and thinners. At her owners request, I left the top of her head and her ears long. Once she was all finished, it was then time to send the two little beauts home! 🚗

It was so lovely seeing Claudia again today 🥰 and meeting Dylan was a great experience too. They’re both beautiful and friendly doggos who I can’t wait to see in my parlour again when they next need a good groom!

All rise for Princess Fri Fri 👑

Frida the shihtzu is a VIP here at Groomingdales 😄 she’s been coming to my parlour for a long time now and I always look forward to seeing her and her owners ❤️ today it was time to give the princess a well deserved royal pamper! 🧼

Today Frida had a warm relaxing bath with some baby powder scented shampoo 🫧 and I also gave her a thorough conditioning. Frida loves it in the bath and is always so well behaved in there. I then dried her using a standing dryer and a slicker brush whilst she curled up for a nap on a fluffy towel 😄. The nap however was as short lived as I did have to wake her up to give her a trim.

I then used my clippers with a 4f blade to trim her body, and I scissored her legs, paws, face and tail with my straight scissors and thinners.

Frida is always such a star with her grooms ⭐️ though she does like trying to sit down every now and then 😂 would it really be a Princess Fri Fri groom if she wasn’t a diva at least once or twice? 🤷‍♂️

Once she was all clipped and tidied, it was then time to spray her with some doggie cologne, fit her with a Halloween bow tie 🎀 and contact her owner for pickup! 🚗

It really is such a pleasure seeing Frida and her owners 😄 I really appreciate the business, and you’re always so kind and friendly to me. It means more than you know 🙏 I look forward to seeing Frida soon when she next needs a groom!

Oscar came in for a full groom today 😃

Oscar is a beautiful golden brown Australian labradoodle, and I love him 🥲…….end of post!

……just kidding! 😁

He’s so much fun to have around, we always have a fun game of catch after his grooms as once he’s off that grooming table he has the zoomies! 💨 Today I was excited to give him a good groom to make him look nice and smart!

Oscar had a relaxing warm bath with some baby powder scented shampoo, and I also used some conditioner too. Despite his bonkersness (not a word, but please ignore that factoid), Oscar really relaxes in the bath. He enjoys having the water on his face and he sits so calmly 😃

After his bath I dried him using a standing dryer and a slicker brush, and then I gave him a tidy haircut using my clippers. I also used my scissors and my thinners to tidy up his legs a bit more, and to trim his face also. Once he was all done, I sprayed him with some doggie cologne and then we had our post-groom game of catch whilst waiting for pickup! 🚗

Oscar is such a lovely doggo 🥲 he’s a gentle giant with the friendliest nature, and always has a big smile on his face. I look forward to seeing him soon near Xmas time for his festive groom!

Hettie came in for a full groom today 😃

I’ve had the pleasure of grooming Hettie for a while now, and I’m so proud of how far she’s come 🙂 she’s always been quite anxious with her grooms, but each time I see her I see improvements, and today was no different.

Today Hettie had a lovely relaxing warm bath with some baby powder scented shampoo. She seemed to really like having her head rinsed 🚿 she kept moving her head forward towards the faucet 😂 I then gave her a quick towel dry before using the standing dryer to dry her. I then gave her a good trim using my clippers, and tidied her up further with my scissors. After a quick spray of doggie cologne as a finishing touch, it was officially time for pickup! 🚗

Hettie still isn’t keen on having her legs touched much, but today she let me hold them as I used my scissors to trim them 😃 this is a huge step for her and I’m so glad she’s trusting me more and more with each visit.

It’s always a pleasure seeing Hettie and her owners 😃 I look forward to seeing them all soon for Hettie’s Christmas groom! 🎄

Bruce came in for a bath and dry today 😃

Hi hello and happy Monday to you all 🙂 I hope you’re all doing well, despite the terrible weather here in Biggleswade 🌧️ today Bruce the French bulldog came in for a nice little pamper. It was his very first time visiting my parlour today so I was keen to make it a positive and relaxing experience for him.

After many cuddles and a lot of fuss, I gave Bruce a warm bath using some baby powder scented shampoo, and I also used some conditioner to give his coat that extra shine ✨ Bruce then got fitted with a happy hoodie, and was dried using a standing dryer. I gave Bruce a lot of attention and strokes (or roobs as I call them 😂) which was kind of lulling him to sleep (I saw some very heavy blinks!) 😴

Once Bruce was all dry, I sprayed him with some doggie cologne and fit him with a festive Halloween bow tie 🎀 and voila, his groom was all finished and it was time for pickup! 🚗

It was a pleasure meeting Bruce and his owner today 😃 it was a lovely way to start the working week. I look forward to seeing them again when Bruce next needs a good wash! 🧼
