Rabbit Awareness Week 2024🐰

We know times are tough for everyone at the moment, and rabbit rescues know this all too well. We want to support other rescues up and down the country, and even beyond, as all of the incredibly hard work they do day in day out deserves to be acknowledged🫶🏼

Time and time again these rescues pick up the pieces and care for the most vulnerable and neglected rabbits. If you can help in any way, these rabbit rescues will appreciate it so much. Remember adopt don’t shop!💗

Rabbit Awareness Week 2024🐰

We are halfway through this Rabbit Awareness Week and still have a lot of other posts to share. This post focuses on the idea that “a hutch is NOT enough” - a campaign by 💗

Rabbits require just as much space as cats and dogs, regardless if you choose to have them as indoor or outdoor companions.

We’ve included indoor and outdoor setup ideas and the outdoor bunny cottages at Hoppy for some inspiration! If you are looking to adopt rabbits, please use these as a guide of the correct amount of space and enrichment that is necessary for them to live happy and healthy lives🫶🏼

Rabbit Awareness Week 2024🐰

The next post in this series focuses on the cost of running a rabbit rescue. The Hoppy Acre take in countless rabbits and are currently at full capacity. With medical bills and the cost to feed all 65 of them, it is not cheap by any means.

While there is countless coverage on dog & cat rescues, rabbit rescues are often overlooked. That is why it is so important to support your small local rescues who are making such a difference.

On the 27th May I will be doing a charity spa day to raise money for a fantastic local rescue called The Hoppy Acre Animal Sanctuary.

Elliott and Magda work tirelessly to rescue and rehome as many bunnies as they can aswell as caring for their permanent sanctuary buns with special needs. They are the loveliest humans and deserve all the help they can get 🧡 If you are thinking of getting a rescue bunny or pair they have lots looking for homes and can help with bonding too!
