As we see if the end of the ptp and hunting season, we are starting to get busy with qualifiers, beach rides, agricultural county shows and much more fun things. Brilliant outing this morning with Julie and her lovely Arab horse LOKI. Loki has not had much travel experience, so we made an extra effort to ensure the stress free journey is undertaken for this young five-year-old who is starting his education into dressage. We look forward to working closely with this pair into the New Year🤗

Well, that was a busy half term!

A little non-horse related r&r on a lovely 5 day cruise then straight back into horsing!

Parwood on Tuesday with Bill, Chef, Georgie & Molly - both lads in the Foxhunters (120-130) - DC for Chef & 1 unlucky pole for Bill.

Felbridge today with Bill for a pole but a lovely ridden round by Harrison - no ‘chippy’ strides!

During this time of year many horse’s routines and diets are changed. Any sudden changes can increase the risk of colic.

Studies have shown that an increased risk of colic can be due to the following:

❗Recent changes in hard feed or hay/haylage
❗Changes in level of exercise
❗Reduced water intake
❗Changes in turnout/stabling
❗Poor dentition
❗Lack of parasite control
❗Cribbing/windsucking
❗Changes in weather

Very early morning at Parwood with Denise Vertigen and Nemo, and what a great morning it was! I’ve been working closely with Neece and Nemo over the last couple of weeks. When I first started transporting for Neece, Nemo was very unsettled when travelling, struggling to relax whilst in the box and adjusting to travelling backwards. However within only a few sessions, Nemo is now comfortable and feels secure when travelling with us.
It’s so rewarding to work with such a lovely horse 🐎 .... and owner🥰

So today we took Kacy and Winston out to a fun show in Lewis. Coming home with a 1st in the 50cm, 6th in the 65, 4th in the 75cm and 3rd in the 80!!

What a lovely day spent with .vertigen and her lovely supportive friend Jenny at Merris wood competing in the BD regionals winter championships. Both Neece and Nemo rode beautifully 🥰

This evening we attended a emergency callout to transport Sam to Liphook equine hospital for an expected haematoma in the stifle. Sam is now in the best hands with antibiotics, we hope for a quick recovery. 🏥

Yesterday was certainly a wet one. So proud of the team coming home with a variety of Rosettes and clear rounds 🏵

Kacy and Winston started the day off showing in the Handsomest gelding, blood colour and went into judge’s favourites. Coming home with a 3rd, 5th and 4th!! With a clear round too!

Maddie and Charlie, Alivia and George both entered the best coloured, coming back with George winning the class and Charlie coming 2nd!!

George and Liv also did a few rounds showjumping 🐎 🌧
