Another week complete! ✅

Although we’ve been quieter on social media here at Hazelhurst it’s all been for the best reason possible, back on the 23rd of May we welcomed our little girl in the world 💕👣

We are now back to normal with our extra bundle of joy & looking forward to a busy rest of the year as now we are now full 😁

We had a busy but productive weekend here at Hazelhurst.

Our small fields we used since January have been poo picked, harrowed and seeded, we are looking forward to seeing how the fields grow in the next month 😁

Starting a business of any sort is never easy but when you have good friends who on their days off come over to help it reminds us how lucky we are to have them 😁

No rug days are the best days, horses are all happy and muddy after having a day without their rugs in the sunshine.

San Quelle or Elle as she’s known at home had a lovely day off in the field making the most of being rug-less 😁🙈

Half term was super busy here as we welcomed the Calm Centred Confidence team who came and stayed with us as a kick start into therapy sessions using our indoor school.

Tina is trained equine facilitator combining theory of coping mechanisms through horses.

Tina and her horses Molly & Brodie are an awesome team who provide positive mental health sessions to anyone who is struggling no matter the reason.

We look forward to working with Tina & her team on a weekly basis 😁

Here at NRB we wouldn’t use anyone other the Sussex Manures to take ours. Extremely professional service from start to finish.

Here are Hazelhurst we are keen for all horses and ponies to get out in the field all year round even if it’s just for a few hours a day in the colder/wetter months

We all know the end/beginning of the year is a muddy one, The inside of your car is starting to look worse than the muck heap from going to and from the field🤦🏻‍♂️

But trying to avoid these things by keeping your horse or pony cooped up in their stable for long periods is not beneficial for your horses mental and physical wellbeing 🐴

Just like taking your dog for a walk is an important part of dog ownership..
Turning out your horse out is absolutely essential, it can lessen the chance of long-term behavioural issues, injury or health problems 🤕

Whilst you may also be wondering.. "but what about the field?"..

Grass will always grow back with some tender loving care in the drier warmer months 😄

Last weekend we welcomed the lovely Anu Sironen & her 3 gorgeous horses to Hazelhurst Stables. All the horses have settled really well and enjoying being allowed back out to grass.

Here is a little bit from Anu to introduce herself: I’m a Finnish dressage rider who has just relocated to the UK. I have bred, trained and competed my horses up to GP and I’m currently competing two GP horses; San Quelle and Fioretto, and one small tour horse Fiori Weltino. For her first GP season in 2021 San Quelle did really well being second in the Finnish championships and winning the Grand Tour final in Finland. San Quelle and Fioretto are aiming to start their international competition career in GP and Fiori Weltino in small tour in 2022.

We are super privaleged to have Anu here with us who later on in the year is looking forward to doing some clinics with those stabled here at Hazelhurst and outside clients 😀

🐴🐴🐴Under new management🐴🐴🐴

Welcome to NRB Equestrian based as Hazelhurst stables just outside Wisborough Green.

Since October when we moved to Hazelhurst we have been very busy fencing, painting & updating. Work still ongoing and lots more to come but we are ready to welcome horses and ponies to site.

NRB Equestrian is run and managed by Sophie who has had horses since a young age & strives to give them the happiest & enjoyable life, she currently has 2 of her own who are stabled at Hazelhurst that are shown at county level, with success.

Ben, Sophie's partner is also an avid member of the team at Hazelhurst keeping on top of the maintenance around the yard & land.
