Okehurst Design & Engineering are a company who specialise in the adaptation of trailers and other vehicles for various purposes as well as general engineering. Initially we started out to design and alter old horse trailers into classic, vintage retail outlets but this has lead us to transforming more than just horse trailers. Our first client, ‘Heidi Mead

ows Flowers’ approached us about converting an old horse trailer into a retail florist shop and the finished article can now be seen outside Billingshurst train station. We have subsequently been commissioned to convert two other old horse trailers into very different retail sales outlets and have been approached to convert a classic split screen VW camper into something completely different- so watch this space! We can also take on general engineering projects however big or small. Our furniture suite, lanterns, rug, wooden chest, champagne cooler and brass candlesticks all creating a beautiful seating area by the bar for guests to enjoy a glass of bubbles and canapés. This also makes the perfect set up for later on when guests need a comfortable rest and reset before getting back on to the dance floor 🪩 🕺🏼

Coloured candles in our brass candlesticks, potted herbs in our teracotta pots & flower stems in our beautiful glass bud vases. All placed on our log slices to style these beautiful wedding tables.

If you’re hoping to host a post wedding get together to stretch out the celebrations, then we’ve got you covered. We can collect the bar at a later time to ensure you’ve got use of the bar for the post wedding debrief.

This bride and groom had family and friends who’d travelled far to attend their wedding in Sussex so they threw a relaxed get together for wedding guests for the day after.
We were told The Horse And Saddle bar remained a focal point for the second day running 💫 and our bistro furniture sets were out on the lawn for guests to sit around while they debriefed on the events from the day before 🥂

Decorator Ladders

Our handmade log bar & ladder shelf looking gorgeous in this marquee. This couple also had The Heidi bar serving drinks for outside the marquee so guests could enjoy a drinks reception looking out onto the lake.

At this wedding the H&S bar was next to a wall of crisps for guests to help themselves to. Guests could take a seat at the bar on one of saddle stools, order a drink from one of the team while enjoying their favourite bag of crisps. The Horse And Saddle Bar worked perfectly at the Knepp estate venue at this beautiful wedding.

Our mustard sofa was situated next the dance floor at this wedding, where guests could have a quick rest from all the dancing but still get to watch and enjoy the fabulous in action.
