Okehurst Design & Engineering are a company who specialise in the adaptation of trailers and other vehicles for various purposes as well as general engineering. Initially we started out to design and alter old horse trailers into classic, vintage retail outlets but this has lead us to transforming more than just horse trailers. Our first client, ‘Heidi Mead

ows Flowers’ approached us about converting an old horse trailer into a retail florist shop and the finished article can now be seen outside Billingshurst train station. We have subsequently been commissioned to convert two other old horse trailers into very different retail sales outlets and have been approached to convert a classic split screen VW camper into something completely different- so watch this space! We can also take on general engineering projects however big or small. Our wooden door screen can be used as minimum or 2 doors or a maximum of 6. They work well to create a lovely backdrop, either behind a bar or DJ booth or can create the ideal screen between marquee and carering tent. Last year a couple actually used the doors to create a beautiful walkway which linked two marquees.

Handmade and have been painted and distressed to suit any wedding style.

The Heidi Bar Trailer

This Heidi is a beautiful little bar trailer that’s perfect for weddings, parties and events. The Heidi has also proved very popular for festivals, events and corporate hire. Companies can now add their own branding or signage with an advertising frame board that fits on top of the roof. This makes a great way to personalise a hire, whether it be a simple sign to attract attention to the bar from afar or to showcase company branding, the choice is yours! Or of course, The Heidi can come without the roof frame and she’ll be as pictured here.

Just came across this picture taken during set up for a wedding last year. This couple had already booked and secured a deposit with another bar and company, but when they came across Okehurst Design and saw pictures of The Horse And Saddle bar, they immediately changed their plans. It’s such a huge compliment that this couple were happy to lose their deposit and booking with another company, to secure our very own ‘Horse And Saddle’ but they were very pleased that they did (as were we). The couple were over the moon with how the bar looked and functioned and said they couldn’t have managed without it💫

This bride and groom had family and friends who’d travelled far to attend their wedding in Sussex so they threw a relaxed get together for wedding guests for the day after.
We were told The Horse And Saddle bar remained a focal point for the second day running 💫 and our bistro furniture sets were out on the lawn for guests to sit around while they debriefed on the events from the day before 🥂
