Moreton will be open Monday 30th and Tuesday 31st in the morning only. Closed New Years Day and normal opening from Thursday 2nd January.

Heffy would like everybody to know that he was a very good boy for his castration surgery!! He was very brave and once he was awake, all he wanted was to hold hands with all of our staff and have lots of cuddles!!

What’s cuter than dogs in socks?
During surgery, animals lose body heat due to them being anaesthetised, therefore they cannot control their body temperature. Due to this, it is up to our staff to ensure that all animals stay nice and toasty whilst having surgery, this can be in the form of blankets, heat pads, hot water bottles.
However, most body heat is lost through extremities ie, the feet. The best way to combat this is to put on little socks!
Storm came in for an extensive surgery to remove mammary tumours, this meant she was under anaesthetic for a long time, so our staff packed her with as much heating to keep her temperature up - this meant some very cute socks were put on her little paws.
Even when she was awake and in her kennel, she liked the socks so much, she kept them on until she went home!
