Birch Veterinary Centre Birch Veterinary Centre in Birkenhead provides expert care for cats, dogs, and rabbits.

Our services include vaccinations, consultations, microchipping, spaying, neutering, dental cleaning, and nail clipping. Birch Vets is a well established veterinary practice caring for Wirral's pets across three branch surgeries. The largest, and the site where operations and investigations take place, is based in Oxton near Birkenhead. We are a friendly team with six full-time vets, each with different interests and all willing to provide the best care for your furry family member.

Well our staff have endured hardships from Elfie and Elvie’s mischief for the last few weeks!! From vandalism to burglary, these elves have certainly tested our morale!
But we are happy to announce that these little elves have officially been evicted from Birch Veterinary Centre!! We hope to not see the elves from a LONG time (until next December).

Our little tree at the Oxton branch is still holding a few tags for donations to help local animal charities—Friends of Birkenhead Kennels and Jackson’s Animal Rescue.
These tags include items like pet food, toys, leads, and other essentials. If you’d like to spread some festive cheer, please:
✅ Take a tag
✅ Purchase or regift the item
✅ Package it up and bring it back to us
Let’s make sure every tag is gone before Christmas so we can deliver as many gifts as possible to animals who need them most. 🐾
