Setting her up for success with her 1st puppy groom at 3mths old. She did great, lots of cuddles on my lap while the dryer was on and rewards while having her little feet trimmed.

Puppy’s need to be introduced to grooming as soon as they have had their vaccinations then visits should be every couple of weeks to ensure it becomes apart of their routine.

✂️ We are working with live, moving, often excitable animals around sharp equipment so regular, calm and routine grooming (in the salon and at home) is so important.

Little man Alfie…… at 15yrs old he’s my eldest client and a happy old man.

I have been his only groomer so even though now his hearing has left him and his vision is not so great he knows me and my scent (usually eau de wet dog), is used of his surroundings in the pod and we have a routine for grooming so he knows what to expect. Imagine turning up at a strange place, not hearing or seeing anything and then going through the whole grooming process for over an hour with a strange person….. scary isn’t it?!

Another reason why finding and sticking with a groomer to suite you and your dog is so important. It not only helps in their younger years but has great benefits in their older years.
