Wellcat Rescue Wellcat Rescue is a registered charity (518860). Wellcat is a small rescue and charity (518860) based in Frankley, Birmingham.

We take in unwanted or stray cats and kittens, ensure they receive necessary veterinary care and find them their purrfect forever homes. All of our cats are fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, snap tested for for FIV and FeLV, and up to date with flea and worming treatment. They also go to their new homes with a ‘Gotcha Day’ package to ensure as smooth transition to help them settle into the

ir new homes. We have a fantastic team of volunteers who work around the clock with the day to day care of the cats and kittens in our rescue and have amazing vet support from Oaks Veterinary Centre, Cotteridge. Wellcat relies solely on donations, fundraising, volunteers and a supportive community. It is only through their continued dedication that the charity can continue running and helping hundreds of cats and kittens each year. We are all full!!!! 😿

Rescues are closing, volunteers burnt out, cats giving birth in gardens, adoptions are down but the never ending list of people wanting to rehome their cats/strays is endless.

As this kitten season starts to slow we are already dreading the winter, the strays on the street and before we know it we are back to kitten season. If we thought this year was tough, it's just going to get tougher please just keep giving us your support. We have a mega Xmas raffle coming really soon and we need you. But also we need you to start complaining. Start talking to the powers that be. Start making some noise because if something is not done pretty soon to help these cats, if we think we are in crisis now, it's only going get worse. Please write to your local counsellor, your MP, anything that is going to draw attention to the plight of the cats in this country. Please !! They can't speak for themselves, but we can.
