Doja’s first puppy groom at 4 months old!

Having a puppy come to the groom room is always a pleasure because they are filled with so much hugs and kisses but they can also be challenging to groom if they are not conditioned into the experience correctly. Being a young pup and never being to the groomers before can be an anxious experience that’s why it is important to let your client pup explore the area and implement positive reactions to parts of their groom. Some pups/dogs enjoy treats and some just enjoy praise and affection.
Doja here was abit of both but mostly affection, she was calm and relaxed within the groom, she sniffed and investigated every piece of equipment before it touched her body. She was praised after every action(good).

It does not matter if the groom takes longer than expected if it means that you are conditioning the pup correctly and making the experience as comfortable as possible.
