Dog Agility Training for all breeds and grades of dog and handler is available with Agility Club Approved Instructor Dawn Milner at H J M Agility in Halesowen, West Midlands. H J M Agility group is based in Halesowen in the West Midlands, it was set up at the beginning of July 2008 by Agility Club Approved Instructor Dawn Milner ACAI. Dawn has been training & competing in agility for over 10 years

& has worked with all breeds of dogs on a daily basis for over 20 years, she has competed at the highest grade in agility (Grade 7) and has vast experience of training small & large dogs. Dawns dogs, Harvey (Large) & Meg (Small) had both gained their Agility Warrant Gold, which is the highest level to achieve & in 2007 Dawn & Harvey were the Midlands Regional ABC Winners in the Agility Eye League Tables, in December 2012 they won the Kennel Club Olympia ABC Dog Agility Stakes Final in London and in April 2013 they became the Midlands Masters Agility 2013 Winners. H J M Agility runs weekly group training, Dawn trains 18 classes every week with 100+ dogs training at our two venues & offers Training Days throughout the Summer & Private 1-2-1 Lessons. Dog Agility Training is available for all breeds and grades of dog and handler. Training is available at an Outdoor Venue, Illey Hall Farm, Illey Lane, Halesowen, West Midlands, B62 0HF. The farm is in an ideal and secluded location situated a couple of miles away from Halesowen town centre, the field is in a perfect position for dog training away from any roads and busy traffic. On Saturday 14th Sept 24 at Southam Kara gained enough points (1200) for our AW(P).
She really is one amazing little girl, we've only been competing just over 14 months and it's only been 26 competing days after gaining our AW(Gold) 😱
Still can't believe she was dumped in rescue as a young ill pup, but their loss was definitely our blessing & gain. She is such a pleasure to run, train and live with 💕🥰🐾
Kara says being this awesome is tiring 🤣🥰

Super proud of our HJMer's and H J M Agility, Dog Agility Training coming 6th Place in the Premier League in The Agility Club League Tables 2023, keeping us one of the top ten agilty clubs in the country 👍💪👌🥂🍾🐾
And absolutely chuffed to bits with my little girl coming 8th in the Medium Grade 2 League, especially knowing she only joined in halfway through the year 😱🥰

Haven’t done this for a few years but couldn't be more proud of our awesome HJMer's!!!!!!!!!! 2023 was an AMAZING year at H J M Agility, Dog Agility Training, we have all done FABULOUS at shows and training!!!!! Huge congratulations to everyone.

'2023 List of Honours':-

Dawn Milner & Kara started competing & picked up a Clear Round at her first show (Tuffley), qualified for the KC Starters Cup semi-final at the KCIF & went Clear just missing out on a trip to Olympia in London, made the first Grand National semi-finals for the 2024 season & came 2nd, gained Agility Warrant (Bronze), has picked 10 KC wins & 2 ABAA wins in her first 6 months competing.
Dawn & Soco won the C5-7 Crystal Vision final, came 2nd in two Agility Vision Grand National Semifinals & qualified for the Grand national final being top of the league for the second year running & ran Clear in the final.
Dawn & Jazz won the ABAA Odds’n’Bods Winter league for the 3rd year & we won the Rescue Dog league for the 2nd year, picked up another 8 more Grade 3 Jumping wins throughout the year.
Ben & Jasper started the year in Grade 1 & won into Grade 6 in November 23, Gained their Agility Warrant (Bronze & Silver), 1st place in ABAA League (Elementary/Medium) 22/23 and Jasper & Anna & Poppy were in joint 1st place in ABAA Medium Gundog League 22/23, came 3rd in the Reach for the Stars Final at Pure Agility Show, first time at Kennel Club International Agility Festival (KCIAF) with no eliminations over the three days, 1st in the Phoenix Chase (Steeplechase) C1-7 at Prestbury Park DATC Show, 3rd (unplaced) in the Inspire Medium 4-5 Final.
Anna & Poppy started the year in Grade 1 & won into Grade 4 (one win towards Grade 5), Poppy & Ben & Jasper were in joint 1st place in ABAA Medium Gundog League 22/23, 1st place in the Medium Grade 2 Inspire Agility league qualifying for the final, Gained their Agility Warrant (Bronze & Silver), came 3rd (unplaced) in the Inspire Medium Grade 2 final and they’ve Qualified for the Pure’s Reach For The Stars final next summer.
Hannah & Dash picked up their first 1st Place at ABAA.
Jo & Jess won into Grade 4, Gained their Agility Warrant (Bronze)
Elaine & Madi qualified for the Grand National Final at Agility Vision and had a clear round, won into grade 3.
Manda & Mabel started competing, picked up their first 1st place at ABAA.
Heather & Polly won into Grade 2, qualified for the Agility Club Starters Cup Final.
Steph & Jackson picked up their first ever clears & places.
Nick & Monty won into Grade 4, Gained their Agility Warrant (Gold), qualified for the pairs Twist & Jump final with Gloria & Gwen.
Emma & Percy started January at Grade 1 and are now at Grade 3 (just one more win needed for Grade 4), qualified for and competed in the final at Pure Agility, made it to one of the Grand National Agility Vision semifinals, also qualified for the Inspire final but didn’t compete in the end as Emma got the flu.
Claire & Mabel started competing & picked up a clear 3rd place at their first show, won into Grade 3, Gained their Agility Warrant (Bronze), qualified for the Grand National Final at Agility Vision & came 2nd picking a £300 voucher.
Laura & Ori won into Grade 3, qualified for the Grand National Agility Vision semifinal.
Jo & Callie won into Grade 3
Jo & Alfie won into Grade 3, Gained their Agility Warrant (Bronze)
Helen & Miley won into Grade 3, Gained their Agility Warrant (Bronze & Silver), won the ABAA Starters League 22-23, came 6th in the Malvern Final, qualified for the Inspire Final, won the Boxer League 23.
Sian & Obie won into Grade 3.
Stacey & Ziggy started competing & won into Grade 2.
Fran & Mack started the year in Grade 3 & won into Grade 5
Fran & Murphy started competing & picked up clears & places.
Sonia & Milkshake started the year in Grade 3 & won into Grade 5 (won into G5 at their first G4 show), won two Agility Vision Grand National Semifinals, has one Grade 5 win, qualified for the pairs Twist & Jump final with Claire & Wispa.
Claire & Wispa won into Grade 3, qualified for two Agility Vision Grand National Semifinals & came 2nd behind Milkshake at one of them, qualified for the Grand National Final at Agility Vision and had a clear round, has one Grade 3 win, qualified for the pairs Twist & Jump final with Sonia & Milkshake.
Sadie & Chester Gained their Agility Warrant (Silver).
Sadie & Reggie started competing & picked up clears & places.
Duane & Roxy retired from training.
Duane & Juno started competing, throughout the summer they attended 14 KC Shows doing just 1 day at each, competing at Small Grade 2. Juno brought home a total of 12 x 1st Places, 5 x 2nd Places and 2 X Clear Rounds. Qualified for the semi-final at their first attempt at the Agility Vision Grand National, won into Starters at ABAA.
Duane & Coco started competing & picked up clears & places at their first show.
Patricia & Ginny started the year in Grade 1 & won into Grade 3 at Festive Challenge.
Claire & Betty Started competing in Dec 23 & have picked up their first places a 2nd & 3rd at their first show.
Heidi & Buzz started competing & have picked up their first Clears & Places
Heidi & Kova started competing, Kova is deaf so this is a massive achievement.
Gloria & Gwen qualified for the Crystal Vision Final and the pairs Twist & Jump final with Nick & Monty,
Gloria & Lucie won into Grade 4, gained their Agility Warrant (Silver), won the ABAA Gundog League and Qualified for the Agility Vision Grand National Final.
Suzie & Luna started competing & have picked up their first Clears and places.
Suzie & Ruby started competing & have picked up their first Clears and places.
Nita & Button started competing & Button picked up a Clear round.
Lee & Molly Started competing in Oct 23 & have picked up their first Clear Round.
Kate & Molly started competing & picked up their first 5 1st's and Clears.
Kaz and Sapphi picked up a 1st place at ABAA in December 23.

WOW!!! That's absolutely amazing looking back at a great year from our little West Midlands club!!!

H J M Agility also moved up a division for four years running (from 2013 to 2016) winning into PREMIER DIVISION in the Agility Club League Tables back in 2016 & we’ve been there since then & are currently one of the top 10 clubs (6th place this year) in the country!!!!!!
Thank you to everyone who has supported me at H J M Agility, Dog Agility Training over the last 15 years. Here's to 2024!!!!! Good luck to you all, I'm looking forward to seeing all the results coming in over the next 12 months. Happy New Year x

Kara - Kryptonite Superkara AW(B)
Dumped in rescue as a young pup after being locked in a cage all day by her first owner, spent.a week in rescue at Wythall Animal Sanctuary, then came to us the week after with chronic diarrhoea and passing blood due to giardia 😢 Once treated & healthy she went from strength to strength & she was such an awesome little girl, she just wasn't happy about being left but we worked through all of her separation anxieties & she's absolutely fine now, came lots of places with me & just accepted everything in her stride, started coming to work from day one & settled on her bed all evening & has never been any bother, couldn't have wished for a nicer rescue puppy and she fitted straight into our family 🥰
We've just done our first 6 months competing at agility comps & we've come home from every competition with a rosette.
Started competing Friday 30th June 2023. 18 months & 5 days old.
Our first competition was Tuffley Championship Show.
We've now done 13 KC Shows up to & including Sat 30th December 2023 (plus 3 unaffiliated shows ABAA)
32 days competing at KC Shows (plus 3 unaffiliated).
84 KC Runs, 30 KC Agility runs & 54 KC Jumping runs (plus 12 unaffiliated runs, 6 agility, 6 jumping).KC Show results:- 10 1st’s, 10 2nd’s, 3 3rd’s, 2 4th's, 2 5th’s, 1 10th, 1 11th, 10 Clears, (unaffiliated best of two runs 2 1st's, 1 2nd, 1 3rd).
Ran 16 competition runs before our first Elimination.
Qualified for & ran Clear in the Kennel Club Starters Cup in the main ring at KCIF, Sat 12th August 2023.
Came 2nd in the Adams Agility Grand National Semi-final, Saturday 23rd Sept 2023.
Gained our Agility Warrant (Bronze), Saturday 2nd December 2023.

Home from our last camping summer comp of the year 😭
The pups have been absolutely amazing over the last two days 🥰👍💪
Jazz came 1st yesterday in Graded 3-5 Jumping 🏆🥇 and Clear today in Graded 1-3 Jumping, considering she only gets one run a day she is awesome and has had a brilliant season 👏🐾
Kara picked up another two 1st Places 🏆🥇🏆🥇 a 3rd and a Clear, I can't believe how well she's done since July to now, she improves every show, so with a bit more training over the Winter I'm already looking forward to next year 😍🥰👌
Soco has been a good lad, only booked three runs a day this weekend because he's been off lately 🤷 but he got two 1st's 🏆🥇🏆🥇 and a Clear yesterday and a 2nd🥈 and Clear today 👍👌🐾

Couldn't be more proud of my baby girl 💞🥰🐾
We've been competing for 2 months now & she's loving it, we're still only booking limited runs for her & we make lots of baby mistakes, but she feels so good to run 💕😍
She's come home with a rosette from every show so far & we've booked some big/champ shows for her to start at (Tuffley, Caerphilly & KCIF) but our highlight from our first few comps was making the Kennel Club Starters Cup Semi Final at the KCIF 💪👌👏
Hard to believe she was dumped in rescue at 9 weeks old 🤷
Having a well earned rest for a couple of weeks now 🥰

Adopted from at 10 weeks old, we had rough start with weeks of upset tummies & illness, but we got through it & this little girl is now just over 19 months old & we've done our first 4 agility competitions and my baby girl has been amazing, we've picked up a rosette from every show including four 1st's, four 2nd's, a 3rd and two Clears 🏆🐾🥰

Kara has been amazing again, 1st Place Comb 1-2 Jumping & 3rd Grade 2 Jumping today, two 2nds on Friday and a 2nd Place yesterday 🥇🏆🥈🥈🥈🥉👌 Absolutely loving running her, she is such a clever little girl bless her 🥰😍

*New Winter Dog Agility Beginners Course*

'Wait' Training with distractions, 19 & a half weeks old!!
