Havenβt done this for a few years but couldn't be more proud of our awesome HJMer's!!!!!!!!!! 2023 was an AMAZING year at H J M Agility, Dog Agility Training, we have all done FABULOUS at shows and training!!!!! Huge congratulations to everyone.
'2023 List of Honours':-
Dawn Milner & Kara started competing & picked up a Clear Round at her first show (Tuffley), qualified for the KC Starters Cup semi-final at the KCIF & went Clear just missing out on a trip to Olympia in London, made the first Grand National semi-finals for the 2024 season & came 2nd, gained Agility Warrant (Bronze), has picked 10 KC wins & 2 ABAA wins in her first 6 months competing.
Dawn & Soco won the C5-7 Crystal Vision final, came 2nd in two Agility Vision Grand National Semifinals & qualified for the Grand national final being top of the league for the second year running & ran Clear in the final.
Dawn & Jazz won the ABAA OddsβnβBods Winter league for the 3rd year & we won the Rescue Dog league for the 2nd year, picked up another 8 more Grade 3 Jumping wins throughout the year.
Ben & Jasper started the year in Grade 1 & won into Grade 6 in November 23, Gained their Agility Warrant (Bronze & Silver), 1st place in ABAA League (Elementary/Medium) 22/23 and Jasper & Anna & Poppy were in joint 1st place in ABAA Medium Gundog League 22/23, came 3rd in the Reach for the Stars Final at Pure Agility Show, first time at Kennel Club International Agility Festival (KCIAF) with no eliminations over the three days, 1st in the Phoenix Chase (Steeplechase) C1-7 at Prestbury Park DATC Show, 3rd (unplaced) in the Inspire Medium 4-5 Final.
Anna & Poppy started the year in Grade 1 & won into Grade 4 (one win towards Grade 5), Poppy & Ben & Jasper were in joint 1st place in ABAA Medium Gundog League 22/23, 1st place in the Medium Grade 2 Inspire Agility league qualifying for the final, Gained their Agility Warrant (Bronze & Silver), came 3rd (unplaced) in the Inspire Medium Grade 2 final and theyβve Qualified for the Pureβs Reach For The Stars final next summer.
Hannah & Dash picked up their first 1st Place at ABAA.
Jo & Jess won into Grade 4, Gained their Agility Warrant (Bronze)
Elaine & Madi qualified for the Grand National Final at Agility Vision and had a clear round, won into grade 3.
Manda & Mabel started competing, picked up their first 1st place at ABAA.
Heather & Polly won into Grade 2, qualified for the Agility Club Starters Cup Final.
Steph & Jackson picked up their first ever clears & places.
Nick & Monty won into Grade 4, Gained their Agility Warrant (Gold), qualified for the pairs Twist & Jump final with Gloria & Gwen.
Emma & Percy started January at Grade 1 and are now at Grade 3 (just one more win needed for Grade 4), qualified for and competed in the final at Pure Agility, made it to one of the Grand National Agility Vision semifinals, also qualified for the Inspire final but didnβt compete in the end as Emma got the flu.
Claire & Mabel started competing & picked up a clear 3rd place at their first show, won into Grade 3, Gained their Agility Warrant (Bronze), qualified for the Grand National Final at Agility Vision & came 2nd picking a Β£300 voucher.
Laura & Ori won into Grade 3, qualified for the Grand National Agility Vision semifinal.
Jo & Callie won into Grade 3
Jo & Alfie won into Grade 3, Gained their Agility Warrant (Bronze)
Helen & Miley won into Grade 3, Gained their Agility Warrant (Bronze & Silver), won the ABAA Starters League 22-23, came 6th in the Malvern Final, qualified for the Inspire Final, won the Boxer League 23.
Sian & Obie won into Grade 3.
Stacey & Ziggy started competing & won into Grade 2.
Fran & Mack started the year in Grade 3 & won into Grade 5
Fran & Murphy started competing & picked up clears & places.
Sonia & Milkshake started the year in Grade 3 & won into Grade 5 (won into G5 at their first G4 show), won two Agility Vision Grand National Semifinals, has one Grade 5 win, qualified for the pairs Twist & Jump final with Claire & Wispa.
Claire & Wispa won into Grade 3, qualified for two Agility Vision Grand National Semifinals & came 2nd behind Milkshake at one of them, qualified for the Grand National Final at Agility Vision and had a clear round, has one Grade 3 win, qualified for the pairs Twist & Jump final with Sonia & Milkshake.
Sadie & Chester Gained their Agility Warrant (Silver).
Sadie & Reggie started competing & picked up clears & places.
Duane & Roxy retired from training.
Duane & Juno started competing, throughout the summer they attended 14 KC Shows doing just 1 day at each, competing at Small Grade 2. Juno brought home a total of 12 x 1st Places, 5 x 2nd Places and 2 X Clear Rounds. Qualified for the semi-final at their first attempt at the Agility Vision Grand National, won into Starters at ABAA.
Duane & Coco started competing & picked up clears & places at their first show.
Patricia & Ginny started the year in Grade 1 & won into Grade 3 at Festive Challenge.
Claire & Betty Started competing in Dec 23 & have picked up their first places a 2nd & 3rd at their first show.
Heidi & Buzz started competing & have picked up their first Clears & Places
Heidi & Kova started competing, Kova is deaf so this is a massive achievement.
Gloria & Gwen qualified for the Crystal Vision Final and the pairs Twist & Jump final with Nick & Monty,
Gloria & Lucie won into Grade 4, gained their Agility Warrant (Silver), won the ABAA Gundog League and Qualified for the Agility Vision Grand National Final.
Suzie & Luna started competing & have picked up their first Clears and places.
Suzie & Ruby started competing & have picked up their first Clears and places.
Nita & Button started competing & Button picked up a Clear round.
Lee & Molly Started competing in Oct 23 & have picked up their first Clear Round.
Kate & Molly started competing & picked up their first 5 1st's and Clears.
Kaz and Sapphi picked up a 1st place at ABAA in December 23.
WOW!!! That's absolutely amazing looking back at a great year from our little West Midlands club!!!
H J M Agility also moved up a division for four years running (from 2013 to 2016) winning into PREMIER DIVISION in the Agility Club League Tables back in 2016 & weβve been there since then & are currently one of the top 10 clubs (6th place this year) in the country!!!!!!
Thank you to everyone who has supported me at H J M Agility, Dog Agility Training over the last 15 years. Here's to 2024!!!!! Good luck to you all, I'm looking forward to seeing all the results coming in over the next 12 months. Happy New Year x
