What Tuco’s trainer said…

His trainer says that he is an uncomplicated gentleman who is generally very relaxed and happy to have a good snooze.

Introducing Champ:
Champ may take some time to settle into a home

Important things about Champ:

CHERYL 💙

Cheryl is a gentle and affectionate Greyhound who is eager to find her perfect family. She’s a calm and well-behaved girl who will make a wonderful companion for the right home. Here’s what you need to know about her:

Good with Children: Cheryl loves being around kids and is very gentle with them.

House Trained: Cheryl is fully house trained! She’s already mastered the basics

Great Overnight: Cheryl settles down quietly at night and enjoys her sleep!

Good When Left Alone: Cheryl is comfortable being left alone for periods of time.

Could Live with Another Dog: Cheryl gets along well with other Greyhounds and could live with another dog

Not Good with Cats: Cheryl would be best suited to a home without cats, as she doesn’t get along with them.

Lived in a home: Cheryl has lived in a home environment and was returned due to no fault of her own.

° RETURNEE °

Sky is a friendly, pretty girl who loves meeting new people, children and dogs. She is looking for a new home through no fault of her own and has been in foster since before Christmas. She has settled into her foster home well and is house trained and enjoys her food and treats.

She loves her runs and walks, is good on the lead and her tail wags when meeting other dogs. She can be nervous of banging noises on walks so will need continuing encouragement and work with this.

Introducing Sky
Sky is a very gentle and loving little lady.
She gets very excited meeting certain people and will occasionally jump initially.
Sky has spent 2 years in a home environment, she is currently in a foster home but can come to the kennels for viewings. She is coming out of her shell more each day.
Likes to run in the garden once out and enjoys playing with her toys.
Walks well on the lead when relaxed but can be jumpy around unexpected noises.
Travels well in the car and jumps in straight away.
Friendly and relaxed with all dogs, people and children. Wants to play with dogs and has wagging tail, especially small dogs.
Sky has recently been returned to the kennels due to change in her owners circumstances
Sleeps well through the night and is happy being left

Important things about Sky:
Sky is scared of fireworks and thunder, can be reluctant to go out at the start of a walk but then is happy once you get going.
Sky would be better living with another dog to give her confidence

SNAPPER 💙

Snapper by name but not at all by nature. This super lad has spent Christmas in a foster home and has certainly proved himself worthy of a sofa. Snapper was clean in the house, settled well over night, got on well with another female Greyhound. On foster he was good with smaller dogs on walks but slightly intimidated by dogs bigger than him. He in smart, fun to have around and a champion cuddler. He likes to take the occasional shoe upstairs and will let you know when he wants to go out for the toilet.

Snapper is now back in the kennels (much to his dismay) and he can’t wait to find that perfect home to call his own.

Timmy's Christmas Foster 🎁💙

So, Timmy has been the perfect house hound whilst on foster with me. He happily hops into the car and travels well. He walks perfectly on the lead, does not pull at all, and has been non reactive with other dog breeds both large and small. He loves his food and has eaten well and also enjoyed his treats. He has been totally clean in the house, although I do make sure he goes out regularly for his toileting. I have left him for 2- 3 hours in the house and he has been fine, no accidents and hasn’t chewed or destroyed anything. Doesn’t appear to be anxious about being left. I have quite a large secure area at home so Timmy has been off the lead and had quite a lot of freedom. He seems to prefer to stay near me and have me in his sight. He has started to recognise his name and comes when called. He is quite timid with strangers and is quite wary of you. However, he is starting to recognise regular visitors and is getting more confident. Timmy is absolutely adorable and has a very calm and gentle nature. He really is a ready made house hound. His personality is already starting to come out and he quite a thief so if you are missing a glove, sock, slipper etc, no doubt Timmy has moved it!!

Can you help Molly and Lyra?

FOSTER APPEAL:
Due to their owner's ill health, Molly, aged 12 and Lyra, aged 8 have found themselves in urgent need of a long-term foster home. They are looking for a foster home together where they can take comfort in having eachother to help them through a time of change. These two older girls are in need of somewhere safe to call their own as they are currently in kennels, whilst awaiting a foster home.

Can you help two older dogs?

GINO 💙

Tall, dark and handsome with a cute turny up nose and ears that style themselves!

Introducing Gino:

Gino has a warm and friendly disposition

Gino has previously lived in a home

Gino is good around children

Gino walks gently on a lead

Gino may be able to live with a female Greyhound after successful introductions at the kennels

Key Information about Gino:

Gino might not be able to be left alone immediately; this will require gradual adjustment in his new home. He has managed being left for up to three hours in his previous home.

Gino may need some training when it comes to unfamiliar dogs

Is gorgeous Gino the dog you’ve been looking for? He is a loving boy, who enjoys food puzzles, playtime, and affection. He has a hearty appetite, which will aid in his training. His favourite spot is snoozing beside you. He was good with children in his last home. Gino has recently returned to the kennels after being homed in April. Sadly, he was brought back due to personal circumstances and faced challenges when left alone for extended periods. Gino is sure to thrive in a loving environment

MELLY 💙

Our beautiful Melly is a rarity with a gorgeous black brindle coat. She might seem shy at first but has bundles of character once she gets to know you and a cheeky personality waiting to shine in a home.

She loves a fuss and walks beautifully, happy to be out and about and exploring the big wide world by your side. She loves toys and likes to remake her bed as she takes quality control seriously when it comes to comfort!

A firm favourite of the volunteers we can’t believe she hasn’t been snapped up yet!
