We have had a stray pigeon brought in who is struggling to fly. He has 2 leg bands so we suspect he is somebody’s pet.

Poor Winnie is feeling very sorry for herself.

She had to be made sick this morning after eating a hot cross bun.

There are many dangerous foods for our dogs (and cats) over the Easter weekend, including hot cross buns, chocolate and even some flowers and bulbs.

Thankfully Winnie will make a full recovery ❤️.

🔴IMPORTANT PRESCRIPTION INFORMATION🔴

From Monday 18th March we shall be changing how our prescriptions are to be ordered:

Any prescription request made before 11am, will be processed on the same day. If a request is placed after 11am your repeat will be put onto the following day.

Prescriptions will take up to 72 hours to be completed (it may take longer for Controlled Drugs or special orders).
Once the prescription has been signed off by a vet you shall receive a text message.

From Wednesday 1st May any urgent prescription request placed, requiring same day dispensing, will incur a £17.50 surcharge in addition to the prescription cost.

🐰 We would like to announce we have now achieved our silver rabbit friendly status from the RWAF (Rabbit Welfare Association & Fund).

Vet Peter and Nurse Sarah have ensured that the practice meets the criteria required so that rabbits visiting the practice can be treated and hospitalised in the most appropriate and stress free manner.

We have several members of staff who have an interest in rabbits including Peter, Sarah, Emily & Beckie.

Featured in the photo are the lovely Franklin, Tilly & Reggie 🐰.

🐦 Pigeons 🐦

On Tuesday 2nd January 2024 we had two pigeons handed in, after a couple of days rest and food they are ready to be released.

Before we do we want to confirm they are not owned pigeons, do you or somebody you know possibly own these pigeons?

They don’t look like typical common pigeons we see around the UK. They are also very handleable and seem used to human contact.
