🐕🐾Meet the new girls🐾🐕

We've had 2x new girls in recently who initially were the polar opposites of eachother!!

Up 1st is Sasha💜, this big beautiful girl, who had been boarding with us, was surrendered to us after her owners change in circumstances. She absolutely adores people and is quite a confident young girl who just needs to finish her assessment and have her vet checks & some basic training and then she will hopefully be ready to re-home soon so keep an eye on our page for when she becomes available!!😁

Then we have little Cherry💗(otherwise known as Cherry-pie) she came to us as a stray, despite attempts to find an owner no one has come forward. She has been struggling to make friends with her carers as she is just so upset after her world has been turned upside down💔 It has taken some time but she has slowly bonded with her carer and shown her crazy, sweet and typical boisterous bulldog side!!!! Although she still likes to woof alert 1st thing in the morning, she quickly settles down after breakfast and she remembers who her new friend is🤣 As she came in as a stray she has to go into our Isolation kennels away from the other dogs to start but once she is able to move out hopefully she will be much happier!🥰

If you would like to donate to help towards the care of Sasha, Cherry and support our work to care for rescue dogs please donate using the link below 🧡🐾

🌟🐶 Harper Update🐶🌟

Now Harper has recovered well from her dental and is back to her cheeky self and making even more progress😁
🐶Her X-ray results were quite surprising (have a look at the photo of her X-rays in the comments!)
We knew there was something going on from the way she moves and carries herself but she never seems in significant discomfort and is always wanting to play and happily moves about in the field even if a bit oddly at times🩷

It is hard to say whether it's caused by previous injuries being left untreated or if she was possibly born with some of it, either way she copes remarkably well!!

We do have the option to do surgery (Femoral head and neck excision FHNE) but this would be a big surgery for her and she would need lots of physio and aftercare which behavioural she just is not ready for at this point even with all the amazing progress she has made.

However as she is coping so well and it is not urgent for her to have this surgery so we have plenty of time decide what the best choice long term is for Harper🩷 and we are working with our incredible vets to make the best decision for her 🥰

Harper still needs her surgery to remove the lumps on her chest and have her spayed, so nobody can use her for breeding again and hopefully this will also help us see how she copes after having those operations🐾

With all the progress Harper has made we now feel she is ready for the next step to find a quiet foster home where she can continue to grow🏡🩷
🌟Because of her history and ongoing behavioural and veterinary care she is looking for a special foster home so please read more on our website (link below) if you would be interested in opening your home & hearts🥰 to foster this beautiful girl🐾🌟

Espen tail update 🐈🧡

A few months ago we shared that our lovely Espen had to have part of his tail amputated due to ongoing issues stemmed from when he was younger 😥 https://www.facebook.com/share/p/16CzJXkf8h/

Unfortunately Espen still managed to get to his tail even with the buster collar on! It was still irritating him a lot. We knew it wouldn't heal and was prolonging the inevitable. After a discussion with one of the vets we decided it was best to amputate most of the tail, leaving him with a small amount 🥹.
It was sad because he had a beautiful long tail but sometimes hard decisions have to be made for the welfare of our animals 🧡

It has been a few months now and his little tail has healed really well ❤️‍🩹

Espen is coping so well and has been such a good boy so far 🤞 his fur is now growing back on his little tail and he wiggles it about really well 🥹
We are super proud of Espen after going through these surgeries and being so brave 🧡🧡

⭐️ Sheds wanted please ⭐️

Do any of our supporters have any garden sheds that they longer need and would be happy to donate to the Sanctuary at all please?

We are working on a project to create an additional area for our dogs here at the Sanctuary to provide them with more time out of the kennel and in a more relaxed environment, particularly for our more sensitive dogs. Unfortunately, the area we have in mind is currently full of various items including gardening equipment and at present, nowhere to move it all too.
That’s where we are hoping someone may be able to help us 🧡

If anyone has any sheds that are still fit for purpose but no longer wanted or needed we would be extremely grateful 🙏

Thank you in advance 🧡
