✨ Charity Ball 2025✨

We can’t believe that our Charity Ball is now just over a month away! 🧡

We have a really special night planned which includes an incredible 3 course meal, raffle, live auction and night of music ✨💃

All proceeds from the event go directly towards all of the amazing animals we have in our care 🐾

The closing date for ticket sales is the 9th October so if you haven’t got yours yet make sure to get in touch to secure your tickets! 🧡

We have been a little quiet recently on the page due to being super busy with the cats under our care! 🥴

❌ Due to a parasite infection we recently had in our unit area we had to quarantine the cats/kittens in this area over the last month meaning we had to hold back on rehoming them unfortunately. They have received all their vet work now and will very soon be looking for homes! 🏡

Tongue out Tuesday 🐶🐾

💔Poor Sasha is still waiting after being let down..... She was due to have an adoption meet a couple of weeks ago but they never showed 😥 (We completely understand if ever anyone interested in adopting from us changes their minds or has a change of circumstances but please let us know as we are only a small team and every minute spent elsewhere takes away from the animals in our care 😥)

Our team is feeling really stuck as we can't understand why she isn't getting more interest!? 🥺 We hate seeing this gorgeous beautiful natured girl stuck in kennels!!!!

So far some of the people who have met her have said she is just too big!
We won't lie, Sasha is a fairly big girl and will take up most of a three person sofa, but we just like to think of how big her heart is!!!💜🐾
This girl has so so much love to give and is one of the sweetest natured, loving and playful dogs you could ever have the pleasure of meeting🥰 She loves a good play, running about (careful if she starts her zoomies she's still working on her brakes!!! 🙈🤣)

🐾She can live with kids who are used to large playful dogs
🐾She could live with a tolerant medium/large size dog (Sasha doesn't have the best manners meeting dogs or getting them to play as she is soon excited! 😁)
🐾 Has lots of love to give and loves to learn and interact with people! 🥰

✨️🐇Rabbit Adoption 🏠

🧡Adopting rabbits is a wonderful thing to do 🙏

💭There is a lot to consider before you take on the long-term commitment of these beautiful complex animals🐰

🔍When you are looking to adopt rabbits from our rescue, here are just some of the things to consider:

✨️Rabbits can live for 10 plus years.

✨️ The minimum size of housing for an average size pair of rabbits needs to be the minimum of 3m x 2m x 1m high.

✨️ Rabbits housing will need to be safe from predators.

✨️Rabbits will need to live in pairs or groups of other rabbits. There are occasions where we will let rabbits be fostered or adopted alone, but this is due to health reasons and veterinary recommendations. We can discuss these situations in more detail when you enquire about rabbit adoption.

✨️ All rabbits need yearly vaccines.

✨️You may need to make changes to your current rabbits' housing to be considered when adopting one of our rabbits 🐇 Our carers are happy to discuss this with you.

🚘⛴️ John and Nigel’s fundraising trip across Europe! ⛴️🚘

Yesterday, two of our wonderful supporters set off on their travels raising money for our Sanctuary through Alma’s trust, a page set up in loving memory of Nigel’s beloved dog, Alma.

Throughout their journey they will travelling all through Europe raising awareness and funds for our animals here at the Sanctuary 🧡

We will be posting regular updates of how they are getting on and we want to take this opportunity to thank them both for all they are doing for our Sanctuary.

We wish you both safe travels 🧡

✨ The most incredible night at our Live Music fundraiser! ✨

Last Friday we held our first ever night of live music at the incredible Hare and Hounds with 5 brilliant bands 😁 and it’s safe to say the night was a huge success! 🧡

We have got to say some HUGE thank you’s 🫶

✨ Our amazing bands who kindly gave their time and the most incredible performances to support our Sanctuary! 🧡
Thank you so much King Krab, Mistrusted, Eyes, Balaban and the Bald Illegales and Shotgun Marmalade- you were all the best!

✨ hareandhoundsbrum for all your help and support with this event and for being wonderful hosts!

✨ Our lovely staff member Val who helped hugely to organise and run this event right from the beginning when this was just an idea to keeping the event running smoothly and the bands fully stocked with snacks! 🧡

✨ Finally….to everyone who supported us for this event, bought tickets for the event, raffle tickets, donated prizes or shared our event- Thank you! 🫶

FOUND KITTEN 🐈

We have had a white kitten brought into us this afternoon with distinctive features found outside near Lifford lane in the Kings Norton area.
We believe it has either been abandoned or got out and got lost.

This kitten is around 5-6 months old, seems in fairly good health and very friendly. Not microchipped.
S*x of the kitten withheld for identification purposes.
Please contact us if you think this could be your kitten.
