💔Why does nobody want us 🥲💔

Next week these boys celebrate their first birthday which means a whole year in rescue 🥲 why????

They are both beautiful big boys who are both playful and loving and very clean boys 💙

There must be someone out there for these boys ❓

Makes no sense why they haven’t been snapped up already! They are both neutered, fully vaccinated, chipped, wormed and flead regulary and just need their new family 💔

Our beautiful fip legend Winnie poo ♥️
Can you believe it’s a year ago that Winnie returned to me to start 84 days of fip treatment rather than be put to sleep 🥲

She returned as a scruffy yellow girl who was wobbly and doubly incontinent 🥲

At the end of her treatment she went to live with her two brothers, one of which Bowser was also diagnosed fip a month after Winnie so they did the observation stage together as a family with mum Alyson and dad Anthony and their non fip brother bean ♥️💙💙

Just look at her now ♥️

Never give up when you hear those letters! Get treatment started asap and get yourself a decent vet I will never be able to thank Sarah-jane Barton enough for all the kids she’s saved with me and we keep doing it again 😹

Massive thank you to Pets UK for our surprise £500 voucher for Valentine’s Day! Today I’ve been and replaced beds and scratch posts for the catteries here and in Walsall, stocked up on kitten food ready, stocked Perry up with catsan and bought everyone some nice food, toys and treats, 2 trollies and a counter full later we were loaded and ready to roll! Thank you to everyone who contributes towards our lifelines ♥️

On Tuesday we had a visit from the lovely ladies from Graceful Hands, Making The Change. These very talented ladies had made the cats the most beautiful blankets and fabulous cat nip toys!
They’re going down great here! Thank you so much for your kindness ladies we hope to see you again ♥️🧶🐈🐈‍⬛

Bessie is now ready to start the search for her forever home 💛 if you have been following Bessie’s story you’ll know we had been a little concerned about her dilated pupils, however having had these checked over all has been confirmed as okay, and fiv/felv tests have returned negative so it’s just Bessie’s own quirk ☺️
She will require the right type of home that will give her the patience and time she needs to adjust. She’s currently in foster in Solihull

Our lovely Meg is still looking for her furever place 💛
She is a sweet soul who loves human interaction currently in foster in Kings Norton.
She preferably needs to be the only pet but might be able to live with another cat given the right circumstances 😁

Little update on Bessie ♥️
She went in for spay Wednesday and whilst under I asked them to monitor reactions in her eyes…… they did respond with drugs but as soon as she woke up back to fully dilated?! Edgar was great he did a thorough exam in and behind her eyes and found …… absolutely nothing abnormal!
While she was there I asked for fiv/felv test to rule that out too….. both negative!
So unless Ben has another answer when he returns next week we are to presume it’s inherited or possible neuro damage at some point!
We started her on supplements two weeks ago incase it was a thiamine deficiency so there isn’t really anything else we can test for or try now!
But she’s a happy little girl so we’re happy too 😁

🍒TNR update 🍒

Good start so far we’ve trapped 4 cats 🎉🎉

At the vets today…

A huge black boy who’s suffered numerous injuries over the years including a possible broken jaw last year who’s kindly thrown up worms over Night so once he’s castrated will be flead and wormed before release!

A small tabby that sleeps in an unused shed whom we thought was a boy but no way of checking as proper murder mittens and lashing out even through the crusher! She is actually a girl! She also had a suspicious lump on her side which now she’s under has been checked and was just a nasty mat of hair! God knows how but she’ll be staying here overnight to recover and be flead and wormed before release!

A possible kitten from last year again thought to be a boy but we think now girl! Pretty little thing didn’t try to kill any of us but very scared, she’ll also be staying overnight to recover and be flead and wormed before release!

And also In holding pen ready for tomo a small girl who is the main r**e victim 🥲 she’s friendly and is off for spay tomo!

Traps set for two more to go in tomorrow and appointments all booked for next week to hopefully sort everyone and put an end to this viscious circle
