This March, Pet Health Club is launching a campaign aimed at supporting StreetVet. For every new member who signs up online during this month, Pet Health Club pledges to donate £1 to StreetVet🐶❤️
'StreetVet was born in 2016, inspired by the incredible bond between a homeless man and his dog. Victims of the UK homelessness epidemic often have scant support, except for, in a growing number of cases, the companionship of their pets.
StreetVet vets and nurses, working with outreach organisations, are out in multiple communities weekly. Since inception they have helped care for over 2500 pets; mainly dogs, but also cats, rabbits, ferrets and other animals. They have vaccinated and microchipped, treated for fleas and protected against lungworm, prescribed pain relief and helped fight infections, performed surgeries and sometimes just sat and listened.'
If you have ever considered being a part of the Pet Health Club, now is the perfect time to do so, not only will your pet be provided with countless benefits - but you will be providing support to those who need it dearly❤️

There’s nothing like a trip to the seaside on a summer’s day, especially when your furry friend can come along and join in the fun! Sadly, beaches can pose some threats to our dogs so it’s important for owners to remain vigilant. Let’s take a look at the main threats to watch out for, and how to keep your dog safe when they’re at the beach. 🐚👙🦀
Although rabbits originate from the western Mediterranean, they’re not actually used to spending too much time in the red-hot sun. This is because in the wild, rabbits hide out in deep burrows where it’s cool and shaded. Hot summer days can prove dangerous to our bunnies. Here are a few of our summer tips for rabbit owners... 🐰

IT'S PANCAKE DAY! How excited are you?! 🥞
Our dog’s annual injections include a vaccination against Parvovirus, so it’s vital to keep these up to protect your pet against this serious infection. 💉 Puppies can be vaccinated against Canine Parvovirus from around six weeks old. As well as protecting your dog or puppy against this nasty and potentially serious disease, regular vaccination is required by kennels and pet insurers as a condition of cover.
Happy Valentine's Day to all our wonderful pet owners! 💘
When walking your dog in the dark, make sure that both you and your dog are visible to others. 🦮🚶♀️👀
For owners, this means avoiding dark clothing and wearing reflective safety gear such as a vest, strap or wristband. 🦺
There are several options for keeping your dog visible in the dark, such as a reflective dog jacket, collar, lead, harness or even an LED light-up safety necklace. Dogs with darker fur are more difficult to see in the dark. However, even if you have a lighter coloured dog, you should make sure your dog can be seen in the dark.
Who else is looking forward to more sunshine?! ☀️
Watch this video for tips on how to keep your pets calm and safe during this weekend's New Year firework extravaganzas ▶️
When the video says loud music & TV, it means loud enough to drown out the bangs but not so loud to damage your pet's ears or frighten them further.
Our Rubery practice is open tomorrow 8:30 - 6:30 and Thursday 8:30 - 3.
