Delighted to see Sommelier break his maiden in fantastic style on just his second start for trainer Marco Botti and owner Jonny Allison. Winner of the 6f Maiden in Chelmsford on Thursday evening, It was a case of patience being rewarded after Sommelier suffered a significant injury on his racecourse debut back in April. Bought for just 6,000gns as a foal by good friend Mr G Cosburn, who still retains a share, Sommelier was raised and prepared here at Ashbrooke Stud. 🍀🥇

Good start to life as consignors for team Ashbrooke at this years Premier Yearling Sale. We were delighted to sell horses for £40,000, £30,000 & £22,000. It was also brilliant to see Ashbrooke prepped horses sell to £52,000. A huge thanks to all purchasers including Michael Dods, Clive Cox, Finn Kent and Rod Millman. Great team effort and a good week enjoyed by all.
