🐶If you love dogs and have knowledge and experience working with dogs this might just be your perfect job.
🐶As you can imagine there is a lot to learn, but you will receive comprehensive training which will be ongoing (There will always be lots to learn no matter how experienced you are)
🐶The job is highly rewarding, with lots of love, cuddles, fun and games, but also has a serious side to it.
🐶You will be expected to adhere to all training, health & safety and animal welfare procedures.
🐶You will be required to stay active with the dogs in your care, engaging with them, playing with them, conducting basic training, taking part in activities and most importantly ensuring their safety at all times.
🐶You must have a good practical understanding of canine behaviour, a free playing environment and have hands-on experience with groups of free playing dogs.

For the right person, this is a chance to really get to know, care for and love the dogs in our care and is an incredibly rewarding role.

🐶Meeting and greeting clients
🐶Thorough paperwork completion
🐶Conduct safe handling and management dogs
🐶Centre hygiene
🐶Activity planning
🐶Follow the correct processes & procedures at the centre
🐶Carry out routine daily health checks on the dogs and report any physical and behavioural change changes to Management
🐶Excellent understanding of dog/animal welfare and health safety laws
🐶Excellent communication skills

🐶Show a proven history, through references, of your reliability, trustworthiness, and good organisation skills & time management.
This position is 20 - 30 hours per week 2-3 shifts, fixed days.

Level 2 in Animal Welfare preferred but not essential if not be keen to work towards it, will also be keen to invest to get the correct candidate to Level 3

Housekeeping of the salon area and all tools used.

Darlington Vet Clinic are branching out to West Auckland.

These vets are opening next door to The Barkary Grooming Salon in St Helens in September.

Top notch vets whose paramount aim is the welfare of your animals not about taking your eyes out with ludicrous bills.

All the staff are fantastic- wouldn’t take my crew anywhere else.

🐈🐕 Our new clinic opens on the 2nd of September 2024 and will accommodate appointments for consultations and most surgical procedures on site. Our main clinic in Darlington will support the branch practice in the more complex cases requiring certain diagnostics and surgical procedures.

🐇🦔 Our friendly & experienced team will answer any questions you may have. Please bear with us while we get over any of the usual obstacles that sometimes come with opening a new business.
