💥DON"T FORGET! 💥

With the summer holidays in full swing we are seeing more and more people trying to find suitable accommodation at the last minute for their dogs.

It's so important to remember boarding or day caring for a dog without a licence is against the law and that any insurance an unlicensed business has, will be invalid.

But that's not the only reason you should choose a licensed, home dog boarder.

Here's just a few reasons why licensed is the correct choice for your dog. Licensed dog care providers......

✅ MUST have comprehensive risk evaluations by the council for your dog's safety;
✅ MUST be limited by the council on the number of dogs they can care for at any one time.
✅ MUST undergo property inspections to ensure safety and uphold best practices.
✅ MUST have strict protocols for cleanliness, safety, and disease control
✅ MUST continue to learn to keep their skills updated (CPD)
✅ MUST transport dogs safely
✅ Strive further to guarantee your dog's safety, happiness, and overall well-being

Obtaining a dog daycare or boarding licence isn't a walk in the park, let me tell you!

This is why selecting a licensed provider ensures peace of mind, knowing they've committed to excellence.

You can explore licensed dog boarding or daycare options near you on Yappily - every listed business is confirmed to be licensed, insured, and devoted to your dog's well-being.

Our next Dog First aid workshop is also available to book!

Run by a veterinary nurse, this fun and interesting workshop gives you real life skills to look after your (or other peoples!) dogs at home and in a professional setting.

So many of our last group messaged with times they have used their new skills (ripped nails, bandaging at home after injuries, pulled muscle care, bee sting care, just to name a few!)

As spring approaches and the weather begins to warm up, curious pets may be tempted to lick, chew or eat the flowers and plants that start to appear. However, many plants can be toxic to our animals, so it is important to be aware of those which can cause harm 🌷🌿🌼🪻
Poisonous plants include: Bluebells, Snowdrops, Crocus, Tulips, Hyacinth, Daffodils, Iris, Amaryllis, Belladonna, Rapeseed, Onions & Rhubarb, Hemlock, Gladiolus, Lilies, Foxglove and many more!

Grass seeds are also a hazard as they can often become lodged in your pet’s skin and can move through body tissues causing infection and inflammation 🌾

Check out the links below for more information on plants to look out for this spring, and remember to contact your vet if you suspect your pets has eaten any!
