A little insight into our weekends - we train!💪🏼
Both of my dogs love their training and it’s the perfect time to teach neutrality and good manners around other dogs and distractions. For me it’s a great time to have my handling observed and critiqued where necessary and always sharpening up on skills ✅
Here you can see my 5 month old Lab in her down stay in a room full of other dogs, little super ⭐️

Studies have proven that canine enrichment relieves stress, boredom and stimulates our dogs mentally aswell as physically! 🧠

This is why we like to encourage our pups natural behaviours and incorporate games into our walks, some examples of this are:

- Group play, for friendly pups regular opportunities to socialise in a controlled manner is super important
- Flirt poles are great at stimulating a dogs natural prey drive, this gives them the opportunity to chase and catch ‘prey’ safely
- Sniffing is a sure way to engage your dogs brain, we like to play games that encourage this.
- Training, our walks are not just mindless free runs and whilst the majority of the walk is fun and games we also ensure we regularly check in with each dog and practice basic commands such as sit, down or wait. This improves our bond with your dog and also requires them to focus.

All put together the result is a tired and content pooch at the end of our time together!
At Happy Hounds we believe that a walk is far more than just walking, it’s a dogs favourite time of the day and we strive to make each and every walk special for our pups!🐾

Hi Pet Owners!
Welcome to Happy Hounds the dog walking and pet welfare service.

We cover Bishops Stortford and the surrounding areas and offer solo and group walks for your fur babies.
As a local dog owner myself I have a great knowledge of the area and a variety of locations to walk to suit all dog needs. I am confident with reactive and large dogs and offer 30 minute or 1 hour walks throughout the day.
I absolutely love dogs and feel strongly about the positive impact a good walk can have on our pets wellbeing.

Puppy visits and house calls will also be offered as we know how stressful it can feel to leave your beloved pets at home during the day.
