Temperatures are set to cool down a little this week but are still going to be warm, even if the sun isnβt out the humidity can still be too much.
πHere are some tips to keep your dog cool and happy during the Summer months π
πΆββοΈ If your dog needs to be walked, walk them early morning or later at night if the temperatures are low enough.
π¦ Make sure they always have access to drinking water.
π§ Set them up a paddling pool in the garden to cool off with.
π Provide them with cooling mats, coats, bandanas etc if they struggle in the heat
π Provide some mental stimulation to keep them occupied - scent work, snuffle mats etc
π§ Make some delicious ice cube treats - add sprats, liver cake, fruit. Freeze licki mats and get inventive with what to cover them in!

π£ But most of all, be sensible - dogs every year die of heatstroke and it is a really awful way to go. Dogs do not die from missing a walk!
β€οΈ We donβt like to cancel classes but your dogs safety is paramount so we will always put them first.
