Congratulations Julie and Lana for passing bronze this week!

Lana has come so far since we first met her to work on her manners around dogs, each week she gets better and is loving coming to classes. We look forward to seeing you both in Silver!

Temperatures are set to cool down a little this week but are still going to be warm, even if the sun isn’t out the humidity can still be too much.

🌞Here are some tips to keep your dog cool and happy during the Summer months 🌞

🚶‍♀️ If your dog needs to be walked, walk them early morning or later at night if the temperatures are low enough.

💦 Make sure they always have access to drinking water.

💧 Set them up a paddling pool in the garden to cool off with.

🏠 Provide them with cooling mats, coats, bandanas etc if they struggle in the heat

👃 Provide some mental stimulation to keep them occupied - scent work, snuffle mats etc

🧊 Make some delicious ice cube treats - add sprats, liver cake, fruit. Freeze licki mats and get inventive with what to cover them in!

📣 But most of all, be sensible - dogs every year die of heatstroke and it is a really awful way to go. Dogs do not die from missing a walk!

❤️ We don’t like to cancel classes but your dogs safety is paramount so we will always put them first.

Hi all, classes will still be on tonight and we have adapted the lessons to suit the hot weather.

Please bring water bowls and cooling mats/coats if you have them.

Avoid walking your dog in this heat, and use the air conditioning in your car (if you have it) to keep your dog cool on the way to class.
