A cold one this morning 🥶 but animals are out or getting rugged up ready to go out, they’re desperate to get out to play after yesterday.

As the weather warnings for wind have now been lifted the farm will open 11-4 as normal 😊

The farm will be closed on Friday 24th January due to the red weather warnings for the area. Please rest assured that our adult volunteers will still be attending to the animals and making sure that they’re safe, however we will be taking great care and do not want to put anyone at risk by opening. If all calms we will reopen on Saturday, please check Facebook for any updates. Many thanks and stay safe everyone 😊

Happy new year everyone! We hope everyone had a lovely time celebrating with those nearest and dearest, we certainly enjoyed bringing in the bells with our furry friends here.

Merry Christmas Everyone! Our animals are loving their Christmas treats, and hope you’re all enjoying yours too

Good morning!

We hope everyone is geared up and ready to enjoy their festivities, just a wee reminder that we are closed on Xmas day and Boxing Day, we will still be in to look after your furry wee pals tho and make sure they get their Xmas dinner!

We will be running a couple of workshops this week:

Friday 27th December, 10.30-11.15am, Parent and Child handling session; come along with the wee ones and get a cuddle from some of your favourite furries, open to all ages. £2.50 per head

Saturday 28th December, 11-2pm, Farmyard Fun; open to age 6 and up, a chance to gain some hands on experience of caring for the animals here, please wear old clothes as there is mucking out involved! £5 per child

Sunday 29th December, 11-3.30pm, kids klub for a day, aged 10 and up. Does your child fancy becoming a junior volunteer here? If so this is the perfect opportunity to give it a try, we will be opening spaces in both our Saturday and Sunday clubs in the New Year so now’s the time to try it out 😊 £7 per child

It’s not uncommon for a Christmas wish to be that of an animal, why not give the gift that offers the best of both worlds by getting someone (or even a gift to yourself ) an Animal sponsorship. Doing this offers the receiver and excellent opportunity to learn and get to know their chosen animal but it also helps a small charity raise funds for the winter.

With any equine sponsorship this is what is involved,
Meet and greet session (about 3 hours ) where you learn all about your animal friend including feeding them, cleaning their stable and how they get to the field
Supervised groom session 3 x times for the year
Can visit throughout the year

We also have other animal sponsorship packages available from ducks to llamas, the contact time with each animal is very different as some animals don’t enjoy a lot of human contact but we’ve had many requested for sponsorship from people living further away that this type of sponsorship is perfect for 😊
