1. Danni’s Pet Services trades under The Whitehead Group Ltd.
2. It is understood by the owner that they retain the services of Danni’s Pet services as an independent contractor not as an employee. A booking is not confirmed until a meet and greet / trial night has been carried out with the owner and the animal, a contract has been signed and a deposit or full amount has been paid.
3. On occasion we will use other people and our own employees to carry out services as we are an expanding company. The client will be notified of this. All workers will be insured and vetted by us.
4. Home boarders will be insured, inspected and licensed by their local council. Each council has different rules regarding boarding, this will be made aware to the owner.
5. Danni’s Pet Services agrees to perform all agreed upon services in an attentive and caring manner. The owner agrees to provide all necessary information to assist in this. Danni’s Pet services cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death to a pet inside or outside their home whilst in our care.
6. Danni’s Pet Services agrees to notify the owner of any relevant occurrences pertaining to the animal in care.
8. If it is necessary for keys to be picked up or dropped off to complete a service, extra charges may apply for each trip.
9. Danni’s Pet Services are not obliged to perform any other duties apart from what is specified on this pet information form.
10. Copies of insurance policies and licenses will be made available to the owner if requested and the owner acknowledges that she/he is familiar with their contents.
11. Danni’s Pet services is released from all liability and payment related to transporting animals to and from any veterinary clinics, kennels or catteries, third party claims, the medical treatment of any animal and any other expenses.
12. Prices may be higher for weekends and bank holidays.
13. Danni’s Pet Services will provide a time interval during which services will be carried out. On occasion, Danni’s Pet Services may change these times to suit business needs. In the event that the owner requires to change the time of the service, no less than 24 hours’ notice prior to the service must be given. Failure to do so may result in termination of contract and/or extra charges. Failure for an owner to have the animal ready at the designated times may result in termination of contract or applied charges.
14. The owner agrees to inform Danni’s Pet Services of any changes in contact details and the pets needs and health.
15. The owner agrees to notify anyone with access to their home that the services of Danni’s Pet Services have been engaged.
16. If Danni’s Pet Services is required to administer medication to your animal, full written and verbal instructions must be given by the owner or a registered veterinarian before a service commences. Danni’s Pet Services will not be held accountable for any issues that may occur from administering medication. Danni’s Pet Services reserves the right to refuse to administer medication.
17. Danni’s Pet Services may have a companion to accompany them on services booked at no extra cost to the owner. They will be subjected to all necessary checks and vetted by Danni’s Pet Services.
18. Danni’s Pet Services cannot accommodate any dogs that are under the Dangerous Dog’s Act 1991.
19. Danni’s Pet Services cannot accommodate any dogs that have had their ears cropped.
20. Complaints must be made within 24 hours after animal pick up to [email protected].
21. All animals that come into Danni’s Pet Services care may be checked for signs of illness, fleas etc. Danni’s Pet Services reserves the right to report animals that appear neglected to the local authority.
22. Danni’s Pet Services reserves the right to check and store microchip numbers.
23. During peak times (June-September) there will be a minimum spend.
Pet Sitting
1. The owner will supply suitable and necessary equipment: e.g. leads, coats, harnesses, cleaning products, muzzles, pet food, tags, towels, cat litter. If additional supplies are needed for the animal’s well-being, a receipt will be retained and this will be reimbursed by the owner.
1.5. A deposit of 25% may be taken to confirm bookings. The full cost of the service must be paid two weeks before the service commences. Extra charges may be applied for bank holidays. Members will receive discounted rates.
2. Danni’s Pet Services will leave the owner’s property as it was before the service commences. No additional cleaning duties will be undertaken unless otherwise specified in the contract.
2.5 Times of visits can vary from seven am to eleven am for morning visits and 3 pm to ten pm. Visits will be capped on busy days, unless clients are members.
3. Danni’s Pet Services accepts no liability for any loss/damage/security breach of the owner’s property if another person has access to the owner’s property during the time of a service or if an animal has unsupervised access to the outdoors.
4. The owner is responsible for any damages caused by their animal(s) to their own property and contents.
5. Danni’s Pet Services will not be liable for any injury, disappearance or death of any animal with outdoor access.
6. Any additional visits will incur extra charges.
7. The owner gives consent for Danni’s Pet Services to enter their house/dwelling/temporary accommodation. It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure that no intruder alarms will be set off and that thermostat settings are within a comfortable range for the animal.
8. All windows must be kept shut and locked during the service, unless used as a entrance for a cat or similar. The owner accepts all responsibility for any events that occur because of an open window. Permits must be given if the owner lives in a restricted parking zone area.
9. If your animal is expecting a litter and delivers whilst in our care, we will do our best to care for the litter. Danni’s Pet Services will not be held accountable for any litters that pass away or vet fees incurred because of.
10. In situations such as, but not limited to bad weather, terrorism and war, we reserve the right to refuse services without notice if access is unavailable, restricted or deemed unsafe.
11. Danni’s Pet Services reserves the right to cancel a job if animals and properties are found to be in an unsatisfactory and unhygienic state i.e. fleas.
Dog Walking
1. Dog walks last between 30 mins or 45 mins. Anything longer must be specified and may incur an extra cost.
2. All dogs will be walked on leads. All dogs must have an ID tag on them and be micro-chipped.
3. Danni's Pet Services will not use extendable leads for large dogs as they can be a hazard to the animal and to the walker.
4. Dogs will be walked in all weather conditions. In extreme weather conditions, Danni’s Pet Services reserves to right to cut short a dog walk or to reschedule the booking. No extra charge will be applied.
5. Danni’s Pet Services will not be held accountable for any dog that escapes due to a faulty lead/collar.
6. Danni’s Pet Services will be equipped with waste bags and will remove any dog faeces from public places.
7. Danni’s Pet Services reserves the right to walk compatible dogs together in a group no larger than four.
8. Danni’s Pet Services reserves the right to terminate a contract should a dog not be trained or used to walking on a lead. The dog will be returned to the location where it was collected.
9. Danni’s Pet Services cannot and may refuse to walk females in season, ill dogs and dogs that have been known to have infections.
10. Either party may cancel a dog walk no later than 24 (twenty-four) hours prior to the first scheduled visit without incurring penalties or damages.
11. A deposit may be asked for when services are being scheduled and confirmed. Ongoing weekly dog walks and one off dog walks, will be asked to pay before the start of the first walk, by a payment method agreed prior to the service being carried out.
12. The owner gives consent for Danni’s Pet Services to enter their house/dwelling/temporary accommodation. It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure that no intruder alarms will be set off. Permits must be given if the owner lives in a restricted parking zone area.
13. Danni’s Pet Services will be not be held accountable for any pregnancies that can occur if your dog is not neutered or spayed.
14. Extra charges may be applied for bank holidays. Members will receive discounted rates.
Payments
1. We accept cash and bank transfers. We do not accept cheques.
2. Most of our services must be paid in full before they commence.
3. Late payments of all services if not made within seven days, 3% of the total bill will be added for each day that the payment is overdue.
4. Continuous failure to make payment may result in termination of this contract and legal proceedings.
5. Clients that use PayPal or similar platforms to pay balances will pay any additional fees that the platform charges Danni’s Pet Services.
Transportation
1. Owners must notify their veterinary clinic that Danni’s Pet Services will be taking their pet to an appointment and payments must have already been arranged with the vet or Danni’s Pet Services.
2. Owners are not insured to travel with their animals if accompanying Danni’s Pet Services to an appointment, to do so at their own risk.
Termination
1. Should any animal become aggressive/ dangerous, Danni’s Pet Services can terminate the pet service contract with the owner with immediate effect. In this event, the animal will be returned to its pick-up destination with immediate effect and the owner will be notified or the animal will be taken to a cattery/kennel at the owner’s expense. Following this, the owner is still liable to pay the outstanding amount of the service to Danni’s Pet Services. The owner will be responsible for all costs if their animal should bite or injure another animal. This includes medical care, legal fees etc.
2. If a dog is found to be under the Dangerous Dogs Act, Danni’s Pet Services reserves the right to cancel the contract immediately.
3. If an animal becomes ill or is diseased in any way (fleas, mange etc) before or during a service commences, Danni’s Pet services retains the right to cancel the contract and booking immediately.
4. Any wrongful or misleading information supplied by the owner on the pet information sheet can result in instant termination of the contract. Any damages incurred by this wrongful or misleading information will be dealt with solely by the owner.
5. Danni’s Pet Services reserves the right to refuse a booking if the owners property is not up to a reasonable standard of cleanliness and adequate facilities are not available to Danni’s Pet Services.
6. Danni’s Pet Services recommends the owner takes out their own holiday cancellation insurance in the event that Danni’s Pet Services cannot accommodate the animal due to an illness or injury.
Emergencies
In the event of an emergency, Danni’s Pet Services will contact the owner with the numbers provided to confirm the owner’s choice of action. If the owner cannot be reached, Danni’s Pet Services is authorized to: transport the animal to a listed veterinarian (may not be their own), request on site treatment from a veterinarian, transport animal to an emergency clinic if the other two options are not feasible. The owner will be liable for all veterinary costs.
Security
1. Danni’s Pet Services warrants to keep safe and confidential all keys, pass codes, remote control entry devices and personal information of the owner and return same to the owner after the service or contract has ended.
Animal Boarding
1. Danni’s Pet Services may refuse to board females in season and pregnant animals. We may refuse entire male dogs and dogs under one year old.
2. A deposit of 25% of the full stay will be required to secure a booking when boarding. If deposit is not received, we cannot hold your booking. This is non-refundable. The full cost of the animals stay must be paid two weeks before the service commences.
2.5 All dogs must have a trial night with us before a booking is confirmed. This will be at a reduced price. If a dog fails its trial night, the cost of the stay will not be refunded.
3. Clients may be given a packing list for when their animal stays, this will be a list of what the client must bring for the pets stay. Dogs must arrive with adequate food for the duration of their stay. It will fall to the emergency contact to supply more food for the dog or clients can arrange for the cost of more food to be sent to Danni’s Pet Services. Danni’s Pet Services may charge extra for trips to collect food.
4. Extra charges may be applied for bank holidays. Members will receive discounted rates.
5. Danni’s Pet Services reserves the right to refuse a booking to suit business needs and any future bookings if any animal is not suited to home boarding.
6. All animals staying with Danni’s Pet Services will be vetted and vaccinations must be adequate. Danni’s Pet Services will not be liable for any illness your animal may contract when staying.
7. Owners will be responsible for the cost of repairs to any damage done to the home or contents of Danni’s Pet services that is more than reasonable wear and tear.
8. Danni’s Pet Services may use cages for dogs.
9. Danni's Pet Services cannot board cats, we only offer cat sitting.
10. Animal boarding and pet sitting will need a minimum of three working days’ notice cancellation.
11. Danni’s Pet Services will be not be held accountable for any pregnancies that can occur if your dog is not neutered or spayed. We will not place un-neutered dogs together.
12. A time must be agreed upon for drop offs and collection of animals. Failure to notify Danni’s Pet Services of a change in time may result in extra charges. If you collect your animal earlier than expected, you may be liable to pay the full amount.
13. Danni’s Pet Services reserves the right to move dangerous, unhealthy, flea-ridden or problem animals to a local kennel/cattery/shelter at the owners cost. To prevent this Danni’s Pet Services does offer a trial night.
14. Failure to pick up your animal after the service has ended with no prior notification and no contact, may result in your animal being taken to a local rescue shelter and re-homed.
15. The full balance of the service must be paid before it commences.
16. All animals will be checked for signs of illness, fleas etc. Danni’s Pet Services reserves the right to wash, de-flea and cleanse any boarding dogs.
17. Danni’s Pet Services boarding establishments are all regularly treated for fleas as well as any residential animals.
18. During our busy periods, Danni’s Pet Services reserves the right to employ a minimum spend on boarding dogs.
19. To suit business needs, Danni’s Pet Services may move dogs temporarily to suitable boarding houses in the local area during their stay with us. Clients will be notified.
20. Following license regulations, Danni’s Pet Services can cross board suitable animals. Veterinary paperwork and vaccination records must be given for animals that are cross boarding. Danni’s Pet Services will not be held responsible for any illness boarding dogs may contract from their stay with us. It is the owners responsibility to vaccinate dogs.
21. At Danni’s Pet Services, there may be resident pets and young children at our established boarding houses. Boarding dogs must be suitable for the boarding house they will stay at.
Micro chipping
1. Danni’s Pet Services only microchips dogs, cats and small animals. We do not chip horses, birds or reptiles.
2. We do not microchip dogs that have cropped ears.
3. We reserve the right to refuse to microchip an animal in unfit and unsuitable environments.
4. Muzzles and cat restraints may be used whilst micro-chipping.
Exotic Re-homing
1. Danni's Pet Services take in most exotic pets if there is adequate room.
2. Pets must be in good health and come with a full set up.
3. Danni's Pet Services can take in clutches of eggs, however they may be used as food for other pets, if not hatched.
4. Danni's Pet Services will not take in pets that are illegal or restricted in this country.
5. Danni's Pet Services retains the right to keep the pet or re-home it and ask for a small re-homing fee. This covers cost of food etc whilst the pet has stayed with us.
6. Some exotic pets may be taken to rescue centres or similar. Danni's pet Services offers to take your unwanted pet there for a small charge.
GDPR privacy policy
In accordance with the GDPR we will keep all client information as hard copy in a secured folder. Your details and emergency contact details are only used in an emergency.
No information will be passed on to a third party for advertising or marketing purposes, no data will be sold or distributed.
You have the right for no longer relevant data that is held by us to be deleted if our contract is terminated.
