Easterleigh Animal Sanctuary is a small independently run charity. We rescue and rehome a variety of animals including Horses, Ponies, Dogs, Cats, Hens and small animals.
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Animal welfare assistant to join our small team. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for animals and a strong commitment to their well-being.

Requirements...

• EQUINE EXPERIENCE IS A MUST.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks.
• knowledge of animal care and behaviour.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
• Valid clean driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate and empathetic nature.
• Ability to follow instructions and protocols.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
• Experience with animal handling equipment and tools.

We are reaching out to our fellow animal lovers to find some wonderful foster homes for dogs. We have had many requests to take in dogs and to assist with rehoming them, and of course we would love nothing more than to be able to offer spaces to dogs that are seeking a new loving home but unfortunately we are not in the position to do so without the help of foster homes. we do have use of a small amount of kennels very kindly offered locally, however we know that kennels are not suitable for every dog and being in a home environment will always be top priority. We will only place dogs in a home that suits their individual needs and those of the fosterer. A home check will be needed and foster forms completed before meeting a dog. We would like to introduce you to our lovely hens that have joined us. These girls were caged hens and now have new & healthy feathers coming through, grass to forage in, lots of company, plenty of space and ALL the love they need. Our resident cockeral has taken them all under his wing 🥰🐔🐓

🐾Meg and Luna are looking for a new address due to a change of circumstances for their owner. They love their food, snoozing and watching birds from a window.
🐈‍⬛These sweet, shy girls would benefit from a quieter household. Vaccinated, chipped and neutered and in good health. They are 5 years old.
