King snakes make are a little more advanced than the commonly kept Corn Snake.

Although they are similar in care, size and colours, king snakes are known to be more agressive than corns.

King snakes reach between 4-7ft as adults and are usually active in the day and at night.

They are notorious ‘watchers’ of their owners and are alert and responsive animals.

Ackie Monitors or Spiny Tailed Monitors are a popular monitor due to their small size. With many monitor lizards becoming giant, Ackie monitors are a dwarf Australian species reaching around 20-30 inches as adults.

Like all Monitors, Ackie monitors are carnivorous meaning they eat all foods.

Chameleons are well-known for their ability to change colour which is a great way to tell what kind of mood your animal is in.

We have both Males and Females available in store and online now.

Panther chameleons can reach up to 15 inches in length, with males being larger than the females.

Western Hognoses have thick scales with an upturned snout hence the name Hognose.

Western hognoses will happily accept rodents as food and we recommend feeding Mice.

Western Hognoses are rear- fanged venomous which enables them to disable their prey as they do not constrict like other snakes. Instead hognoses bite down and administer a mild venom which works well on their small food sources.

(Their venom rarely affects humans)

They are not aggressive snakes.

Blackpool Reptiles & Aquatics LTD has been trading since September 2018 after our previous shop The Reptile Room closed.

The Reptile room was running for around 12 years, starting as a small shop, becoming good friends with many of our customers over the last few years we have built a special trust with them that has enabled us to help them take their interest further... with the addition of being able to source animals for people which may not be on our stock list.

Our new shop has been designed by us following new Animal Welfare guidelines for pet shops and we are proud to have received the highest rating possible for our new store. Blackpool Reptiles & Aquatics is home to some of the most exciting reptiles in the country, stocking livestock which is unavailable to buy elsewhere, and displaying 100's of species of Reptile and Aquatic Livestock.
