‼️ JOIN OUR TEAM ‼️

We are looking for a new FULL TIME team member - average 30+ hours per week

Minimum age 18 years due to working regulations and shift patterns.

Balmoral are looking for a hard working individual, a team player but with the ability to work on your own.
Must be confident around dogs and cats.
Job is physically demanding, requires working outdoors in all weathers, and obviously lots of picking up poo!!!
The job entails a lot of cleaning, walking and socialising dogs, and so must be capable of handling all sizes of dogs.

Work involves plenty of handling and playtime with the dogs and cats, along with the bathing dogs.

There are no public transport links, so you must be able to get to and from our location independently.

28-33 hours per week on a rota basis.
To include 1 or 2 weekend day shifts (eg a sat shift during the month)

Core hours between
7.30am-6pm

Regular overtime shifts for holiday and sickness cover.
Minimum wage, paid monthly, IMMEDIATE start.

Please read the advert properly to ensure you are able to work between the hours stated, can get to us for the start time, and must be able to do weekend work (it's not all weekend/every weekend but there will be some shifts)

Thank you all for your very generous gifts, which have been shared out between the staff. We feel very lucky to have amazing customers like you ❤️🫶

We are also remembering those beautiful faces that we lost this year who leave a massive hole in our hearts 💔🌈

We have our winners!!!

Teddy - just looking adorable in front of the tree and needed a little present whilst he recovers with a broken leg 🥹

Toby - the cutest little reindeer, and bonus points for managing to get a picture of him sat still 😂

Saskia - got some staff votes so I needed an extra stocking! She might have attitude at times but definitely suits a santa hat 🤩

We only had a staff cat entry so by default Squirtle is a winner 😂

And the remaining cat stocking goes to my special girl Miley. She has been so good with the kids this last week after the loss of her sister, that she deserves it 😍

There's a caravan blocking our lane again 🙈

I have contacted those that are due to collect and drop off this morning.

You may need to walk down the lane or use the public footpath from Cropper Rd through Ramp City, if coming to us in the next couple of hours.

Hopefully it will be gone before afternoon pick ups 🤞🤞

Sorry if there's been some delayed replies this week. I think I've caught up now.
Unfortunately I lost my beautiful cat Willow on Wednesday 💔
I'm sure most of you saw her gorgeous face wandering around outside over the years.
She had been part of my life for the last 15 and half years, and the children have grown up with her and her sister Miley.
We are absolutely heartbroken. Miley is getting extra special treatment from us all.
Run free my beautiful girl. Miss you lots 🌈❤️

Loving new faces coming to Balmoral!

Miss Sandy (lurcher) came for an assessment day and passed with flying colours so is welcome to join the Balmoral Creche!

She loved Dexter dalmatian 😍
And baby Millie (sprawled on the floor) had her first full day in the creche - she's still learning how to play 😂

And some more pics of our crazy gang (wouldn't want to mess with the pups in Pic 7 - Colin, Cyril, Bailey and Gracie absolutely would tag team us and take us out one by one 😂😂😂)

🚧🚦ROADWORKS🚦🚧

There are 4 way traffic lights back up at the School Rd/Common Edge Rd junction.

These normally cause a delay, especially at rush hour time, so please leave extra time to get to us.

Hopefully they aren't up too long but initial reports say at least a week 🙈

Your dog MUST be sociable with everyone in that group, pass an assessment and boys must be neutered (when old enough)

Doggy Day Care Creche 😍

Millie attended today for an assessment and passed with flying colours! Well done Millie ❤️

She will be joining the Balmoral Crew soon after being neutered this week.

If you are interested in the doggy day care creche then please message for more information!
We have some spaces available for sociable, friendly dogs.
The creche is separate from the Kennels and has small supervised groups.

Day Care runs weekdays - drop off 8am- 1pm, collect 4.30-6pm
Just £23 per day.

Snuck in quietly again to check on everyone and managed to get these pics before I was spotted 😂😂

Will be keeping the radio on loud with extra checks to make sure everyone is settled and comfortable.

Thankfully not so many fireworks tonight ❤️❤️

I wish I'd taken my phone in to the kennels and snuck some pictures!

I went in to do another night check as there are a lot of fireworks tonight and every single dog and cat was silent, snoozing away in their beds!

The radio is on loud, which echoes around the kennels, and you can't hear the bangs outside.

I'll be checking on them throughout the evening before lights out.

So glad everyone is happy and settled 🫶
