Smugglers Riding School is based in the rural & tranquil countryside of Manmoel. Melissa has grown up and been around horses from a very young age, she was introduced to riding by her Father as a toddler and since then, they have become an addiction. Melissa enjoys competing and has done so successfully for many years, she gains a great sense of achievement through producing all of her horses hers

elf. She regularly competes at British Eventing competions which involves Dressage, Showjumping and Cross Country. Following school Melissa attended Usk Equine College where she attained her BHS Stages 1,2&3 and also her PTT, along with teaching hours she gained her Assistant Instructors Certificate and is a member of the BHS Register of Instructors. Melissa is also a qualified Equine Specific First Aider and has attended the British Equestrian Federation Safeguarding and Protecting Children Workshop provided by The British Horse Society. Melissa has taught on a freelance basis for many years, giving her a greater understanding of people, their needs and their horses needs. In April 2012 Melissa qualified as an Equine Sports Massage Therapist, under the world renowned Mary Bromiley. Following this Melissa further qualified as a Sports Massage Therapist for people. Being an empathetic and friendly instructor Melissa has brought the best out of many riders, which prompted her to launch a Riding Establishment. Smugglers Pony Club Rally Sunday 10th of November!

Come and join us for a 2 hour rally with your favourite ponies!

If you are not a pony Club member yet, please don't worry come and see if you like it ready for next year!

The session will include the following:
🐴Theory in the classroom
🐴Riding Session
🐴Mechanical horse session to work on rider position.
🐴 practical on the yard.

Spaces do go quickly so please book on the app.

Session Times:

9am-11am - beginner walk and trot
11am-1pm- beginner canter small jump
1pm-3pm - canter, jump.

🎬Well, that’s a wrap!

We’ve had a brilliant and busy half term week 🍬🎃 it’s been nonstop, from wild and crazy mounted games that have kept us laughing to spooky Halloween hacks where the ponies looked just as “frightening” as we did! As well as a few slightly wicked parties!🧟‍♀️👻

By Wednesday a well-deserved cup of witches brew 🍾was needed to celebrate a Halloween well spent!

Thank you to everyone who added to the madness 🤪

And now it’s time to start planning 📝 our next lot of festive activities…

Spaces are disappearing fast, join us for our Adults Party where you will get the chance to dec out your horse to match your own spooky look, before trying your hand at mounted games! 🏇🏼

🏆Feeling competitive? Good! There will be prizes to be won all evening both in the saddle and on the ground! 🏵️

Once the riding is done we will head into the party room for some witches brew🍷, snacks😋 and get down to some monster mashups🧌!

Fancy dress is optional- just make sure you're comfy to ride and don't have anything too flappy or that may terrify your horse! 😆
