Leanne and I loaded up the ponies and hit the road for a delightful little birthday party. Saturn and Sun, our miniature Falabellas, were absolute angels the entire time. Today was such a rare and special treat—I had an entire day off from the farm! Honestly, I can’t even remember the last time that happened, if ever. It felt absolutely incredible to step away for a moment and recharge.

I spent the day working at the Volvo EX90 test drive launch, reconnecting with my other passion: cars. With my background in motorsport—racing, test driving, and engineering—it was such a thrill to immerse myself in that world again. It felt like coming home to an old love. But now, it’s time to refocus on the season ahead, with a full schedule of events and hard work to keep the sanctuary running and support all the little lives under my care.

That said, not everything went perfectly—my truck suffered some damage this morning, which was definitely the low point of the day. It was frustrating, but I didn’t let it overshadow everything else. With so much to be grateful for, I chose to shake it off and keep moving forward.

I’m beyond lucky to have an incredible team behind me. Caroline managed the farm seamlessly this morning, Shawn looked after the horses and then teamed up with Rich to clear the field, Georgia tucked all the animals into bed, and my amazing daughter made sure the ponies were cared for. Knowing the farm was in such capable hands made the day even more enjoyable and stress-free.

Now, as I sit at home, putting the kids to bed and reflecting on the day, I feel overwhelmed with gratitude. I love this beautifully chaotic life I’ve built—full of hard work, amazing people, and moments like today that remind me why it’s all worth it. Here’s to chasing dreams, building community, and finding joy in the journey—even when it’s not all smooth sailing!

It’s all happening! The sun is shining, the diggers are hard at work, and a posh green carpet is in place to help keep things clean for both our visitors and animals. We feel incredibly lucky to have such a supportive team—thank you all! The goats are loving the sunshine, and field clearing is underway as we prepare for grass seeding. Exciting times ahead!

Naldo is officially the new kid on the block, but he’s already fitting right in with his quirky roommates: Utred the donkey and the mini pony duo, Saturn and Sun. He’s been busy getting settled, and today was a particularly eventful day—he braved his vaccines like a true warrior (though he may have demanded a carrot reward afterward) and got himself a fresh pedicure from

As if that wasn’t enough excitement, Naldo is now in training to join the sanctuary’s elite therapy team. He’s been getting into shape, though let’s be real—he probably thinks “exercise” means more trotting and snacks. The real highlight? He can’t wait to strut his stuff in his brand-new p**p bag. Nothing says “I’m a professional” like a pony rocking a p**p pouch with pride.

Naldo’s definitely on track to become a sanctuary superstar, and we can already tell he’s going to bring plenty of laughs (and a little chaos) wherever he goes!

What a beautiful, frosty morning here at the sanctuary! ❄️ Today, we were delighted to welcome a wonderful group of children from Diverse abilities, along with their dedicated carers. It was heartwarming to see the joy on the children’s faces as they interacted with the animals, and the animals clearly loved all the extra attention and affection too!

Thank you to everyone who came along – it was truly a special experience for all of us. We look forward to seeing you again soon! Big shout out to all my lovely volunteers who made this possible.
