Who's had snow? ⛄️

On this occasion I think many of us will blink and miss it but in case we do get another thicker flurry, did you know that keeping your pups paws free of hair between the pads and the top tufts short, not only makes for less squelchy pawprints in the house but also stops snow from building up on their feet as they walk? As more snow gathers, it can compact and make your pets paws sore!

If you walk your dog in the snow it's important to rinse off their feet with warm water when you get home. This not only melts and removes any snow build up but also washes off traces of road salt before your dog can lick it!

Ask me about a mini appointment just for a foot wash, toe trim and paw balm if your dog has Grinch toes! 🐾

It's officially Christmas Hols at the Barkers HQ! Last dogs groomed yesterday and two whole blank pages in my diary!

I've set down the scissors and picked up the veg peeler in one hand and sellotape in the other 😅

Merry Christmas and a huge thank you to everyone who's supported my return to the grooming world. I'm having a blast and there is lots more in the pipeline for 2025 so please do stay tuned!

All dog breeds and sizes can benefit from a professional groom.. teeny tiny Kiki came in yesterday and had a bubbly bath with gentle massage, a warm blow dry and pedicure and look how much loose hair and undercoat came out while being groomed!

Deshed sessions on short coat breeds can be especially beneficial around seasonal coat changes but can help your pooch feel and smell fresher anytime of the year as dead coat is removed and leaves their skin able to breath.

Kiki wins the award for the best behaved tiny dog I think I've ever groomed! An absolute sweetheart 😍
