Just a quick message To all of our lovely clients, we have been Closed for a little while to attend some trade shows and seminars at groomfest, PATS Telford and the international world grooming show, We aim get back to all messages when we are back in the salon on Thursday, for the last week or so we have had very little signal where we have been and so have been unable to answer enquiries 💋 We have some exciting free spa products for all our clients for Halloween coming shortley (only existing clients currently for bookings) ! ❌❗️WEATHER WARNING❌❗️PLEASE READ❗️❌

Whilst we will be returning to the salon tomorrow we have made the decision to CLOSE THE SALON FROM THE AFTERNOON ONWARDS. This is to make sure there are no dogs coming in during the warmer periods tomorrow. As you all know we take all dogs health whilst in our care very seriously and are not willing to groom dogs in potentially dangerous hot weather. When we make these decisions we have to think not only how the dogs are in the salon but the temperatures they are exposed to before their grooming sessions. We hope everyone understands that we have every dogs best interests in mind when we are making these decisions and only want what's best for our clients, this may mean at times re arranging at last minute as we cannot predict the weather and it may change at short notice☺️ please note we aim to answer all enquires as soon as possible however please bare with us as we have been inundated with messages for booking whilst we have been away and we will be working through these as quickly as possible, however as always the dogs in our care come first and we will not be answering phone calls whilst any dogs are on the table for their safety 🐶

A few notes for your appointments these next few months/on warmer days:

❌DO NOT:

❌please DO NOT walk your dogs to our salons and DO NOT give them a long walk before their appointment. Any dogs walked from home to our salon may be refused entry and sent back home this is due to the added heat stress they may have before starting grooming.
❌Any dogs panting heavily on entry to the salon may be refused for their own safety.

✅DO:

✅PLEASE cancel your appointment with us if you feel your dog is too hot or uncomfortable in the weather. You will not be charged or penalised for this even if it is last minute. We want every dog to be as safe and comfortable as possible. A hair cut or bath and brush CAN wait if your dog is too hot. Remember to consider if you have an elderly dog, a dog with a health condition, under weight or over weight dog or very young dog (puppy) that it would be better to REARRANGE to a cooler day. We cannot guarantee how quickly we can get people back in but again a hair cut can wait, heat stroke is serious 🥵
✅Make sure when driving that air con in car is on, and that car is not too hot before dog is placed into car. Also do not under any circumstances leave your dogs unattended in a car for long periods.
✅stay of pavement as much as possible and always check with your hands that the pavement is safe to walk on. If it's hot to the touch it is unsafe for tiny paws. Where possible pick your dog up to walk them over the pavements.
✅Make sure all dogs are well hydrated.

Any appointments over the next few weeks all dogs will only be dried using cool air dryers. This May leave some places on your pups coat feeling a little more damp than usual. This is for the safety of your pup. We will not use hot dryers in this heat. Any smooth coated dogs may be towel dried. We have cooling matts for all of our tables which will be used whilst grooming and cooling matts for the floor too. Our fans etc will be on to help keep all dogs feeling cooler. We reserve the right to refuse to groom any dogs we deem unfit to groom on the day and to cancel if we think it is getting too hot.

Remember guys stay safe, walk early morning and late evening, give plenty of shade and water and keep those puppers out of the sun 🐶

💔R.I.P to the worlds greatest mom, Sister, Friend and grandma 💔Today at 12:00pm we unfortunately and shockingly had to say our most teary goodbyes to Simon’s mom Karen. This has come as a huge shock to the whole family and as you can imagine we are all in bits at the moment trying to figure out what we do next.
We hope everyone can understand that we may have to rearrange appointments over the next few days so that we are able to try and process this huge loss as a family.
We are still in shock and I think it is going to take awhile to process. We are sorry if we haven’t been able to reply as quick as usual and we truly are sorry if we have to rearrange your appointments at short notice. We are trying to get through everything as quick as we can for all our clients but as you can imagine we are a bit dazed with alot on our plates at the moment.
Thank you to all of our wonderful clients for being so understanding so far!
Simons mom Kaz absoloutly ADORED dogs and so if you have any cute happy dog photos please post them below to try and bring a bit of joy to such a sad devestating day…we would love to see some happy puppy’s and so would Karen (she LOVED staffy’s) 💔💔💔

A huge thank you to all of the skilled dog groomers who came to help release the poodles from their pelted, feaces and urine covered coats. They started clipping the dogs off at 7:30pm when the dogs arrived from a 4 hour journey from Doncaster, all of the groomers left between 2:30 and 3:30am.
It took an average of 1.5 hours to clip each dog off.

These dogs all felt so much better thanks to you all.

Last night we went after work to help the wonderful Stacy and some other amazing groomers -Beth, Josh, Ellie and Danielle- to groom 7 standard rescue poodles who were in a horrific state. They had been kept in a warehouse and were being sold online for £50 each, with 3 dogs already found dead. A further 3 standard poodles including 2 puppies and their moms were also collected by the amazing Amanda. We started grooming these dogs at 7pm and finished close to 3:00AM. I have never seen such neglect in all my life. What these dogs have been through I would not wish on anyone. It is amazing how loving all of these dogs were despite the pain they were in with such severe matting having to be removed. Two dogs were taken straight to the emergency vets to be treated for their eye and also dehydration and emaciation. The rest of the dogs will also be going to the vets to be checked out soon. A massive thank you to Stacey Deeming and Monarch's Mutts Dog Rescue for travelling so far to collect all of these dogs, to Amanda for collecting the rest and to all the other groomers that we groomed with last night, you are all saints! 🥰 without you all I dread to think where these dogs would of ended up. It makes me so proud to be part of the dog grooming industry as when anyone is in need the grooming community always comes together! The go fund me that Stacey set up has so far has raised over £9000 for the monarchs mutts rescue to go toward all of these beautiful amazing doggo’s!! All of these dogs are going to be in need of a foster home within the Black Country/ West Midlands and will also be looking for homes. Please get in touch with the rescue if you feel you may be a suitable candidate to foster, remember foster dogs may not be toilet trained, arnt suitable for young children and may be best being only dogs or at least be able to separate from other dogs in the house for awhile. 🩷 I hope all of these poodles end up with the most loving of homes as they really do deserve to be treated like the prince and princesses that they truly are after having such a horrific start to life 🩷 thank you to everyone who has donated so far im speechless at how kind and generous everyone has been🩷

We have gone after work to help groom these beautiful standard poodles and give them all a groom with a wonderful groomer called Stacey, rescue owner Kate and some other grooming friends who have all donated their time to help groom these wonderful dogs, that have been horribly neglected! It is so heart breaking for these dogs and they all need urgent help! Please if anyone could donate to help these beautiful standard poodles we will be forever grateful and they would really appreciate it. How humans can be so cruel we have no idea 😭

So today I won an award at the style to rescue dog grooming competition from Wheels to Paws for being one of the most compassionate groomers and handlers of the day out of a class of almost 80! 🥰 I am so proud of this award and so thankful to the rescue centres for trusting us with their amazing rescue dogs for the day!🩷

The style to rescue comp is a charity dog grooming event that raises money for dog rescue centres! At the event we picked a card at random and was paired with a rescue dog to groom for the day 🥰

In my AM class I had the lovely Doris Day! Doris is from Wheels to paws Uk! She is a chihuahua cross and is paralysed. She was such a good girl! I completed most of her grooming on the floor and in Simon's arms as she felt most comfortable and safe being held 🥰 She was a super star! 🌟

In my PM class I had the lovely honey the Scottish terrier who is completely deaf from the Scottish terrier rescue! She was an angel especially for her age! She loved treats 🐶 and cuddles! I groomed her in a breed standard Scottish terrier clip And she was dozing off by the end of her groom 🥰

All in all it was a fabulous day from start to end! I loved the style to rescue comp and I will 100% be looking to compete again next year 🥰 its such a beautiful show and it's all for an amazing cause 🩷🩵
