My favourite type of plait. It stands out so much more than the traditional French plait.
Dutch/ reverse plait is were you pass the hair under each section so the plait sits on top opposite to the French which you pass over.

Step 1 - Section your Mane.
(I use @Smart Grooming plaiting wax for fly away hairs)
Step 2 - Plait your section.
Keep your plait nice and tight then band the end up.
(I use SG Mouse for extra grip)
Step 3 - Thread your needle through the end of the plait looping it through a few times making sure it's secure.
(I use SG needle & wax Thread)
Step 4 - Roll up your plait. Keep this nice and tight.
Step 5 - Thread your needle through your rolled up plait from the base making sure it secure. Snip off remaining thread.

this is what one of my clients said to me a few weeks ago!
You do not need specific "quarter marking" equipment to do them. 99% of equestrians own a body brush & comb in their Grooming bags this will 100% do.
Yes they might not be as good as if you had a proper soild brush or fine comb but they will do the job if it's the best you've got at the time.
I feel there's so much pressure for equestrians to be buying every little product for show days.
Here's me doing quick quarter marks with brushes I found in my clients Grooming box with a bit of water (its not perfect).
You just need some setting spray (I used to pinch my mums hair spray when I was younger π€£)
