What are Equine Assisted Therapeutic Sessions
Equine Connect offers EATS which encompasses a range of treatments. What do we do? What are the benefits?

During sessions, you don’t actually ride the horse. Instead, you carry out activities such as feeding, grooming and leading the horse around obstacles. Many of the benefits of equine assisted therapeutic sessions are likely due to the nature of the horses themselves. Horses are naturally gentle and calm creatures and are able to mirror and respond to human behaviour, meaning that they are highly e

ffective at interacting and working with others in a patient and non-judgmental manner. The activities and tasks you take part in will have an effect in enabling creative thinking and boosting self-confidence. You can develop skills such as communication, self-control, problem solving and accountability, as well as improving your self-esteem, empathy, flexibility and independence. Equine Assisted Therapeutic Sessions can also help to bring out emotions to express and feel, releases stress, teaches you to trust, work as a team and aid communication. Who we can help? Anybody and Everybody is welcome at Equine Connect, if you just want to experience the joy of being around horses or to let us help with your own personal healing process. Equine Assisted Therapeutic Sessions can help support many conditions like trauma, abuse, lack of self-confidence, addiction, behaviour or eating disorders and learning differences. Whatever your need Equine Connect is here to help you to discover more about yourself, develop new ways of thinking and change any negative behaviours.

🌼 Ever wondered what goes on at our Children’s Workshops? The answer is — A LOT!

Our sessions are all about having fun, sparking creativity, making new friends, and building teamwork skills — whether working in groups or independently. We spend time outdoors, embrace nature, and encourage children to think about how their actions impact the world around them. 💚

This photo captures just one of the many hands-on activities: making flower pots from recycled materials and planting blooms to brighten the yard for our horses! The kids even collected their own compost from the fields — a perfect mix of learning, care, and creativity. 🌸🐴

Sessions will continue every SUNDAY from 2-4pm.

Last week our horses were visited by the dentist.
Just like people, horses need regular dental check ups and occasional treatments.
And just like people, some of the horses can find dental check ups quite scary, until they get used to the unusual noises and the feeling of having their teeth examined.
The majority of our horses were absolute superstars, they remained calm and composed throughout. For those who were a little anxious, the dentists were great with the horses, they took their time and allowed the horses to adjust and relax slowly, creating a positive experience overall.
Round of applause to each horse for behaving so well and thank you to our dentists for being so kind and caring with our horses.
