********EXCITING OPPORTUNITY within our Horse and Pony Share Scheme********
As the Summer draws to a close we have some exciting opportunities available within our horse and pony share scheme.
What is our Horse and Pony Share Scheme?? PLEASE NOTE….THIS IS NOT A LOAN OPTION, BUT A SHARE SCHEME. If you are looking for a loan please do not apply. This scheme is available for clients of LME only. (You are more than welcome to become a client of LME and then take part in the scheme.)
Our Horse / Pony Share Scheme is perfect for children, adults or families who don’t want to take on the whole responsibility and/or cost of owning a horse or pony but would like to enjoy the benefits on a part time basis. It is also perfect if you don’t yet have the experience to own your own horse or pony but would perhaps like to in the future, or for someone who just doesn’t have the huge amount of time needed to commit to owning a horse/pony outright.
Our members have a share in a chosen horse or pony and pay a simple weekly maintenance cost by direct debit which helps towards feed, stabling, vet, worming, tack and farrier costs. You will be given a contract at the start of the share, but there is no set contract term. If you decide to stop sharing, for whatever reason, one weeks notice is acceptable.
Our members will be given as much help and support as is required so that they can enjoy their pony safely and work towards their personal goals. They will be involved in all aspects of looking after their horse/pony including grooming, mucking out, tacking up and field care.
The days you come to do your horse or pony will be discussed with you to suit everyone, but as a rough idea you will need to come and care for your horse or pony 2 or 3 days a week. During term time, children will be able to do their pony 2 or 3 evenings a week and 2 or 3 days a week during the school holidays. Adult’s tend to do two or three weekday mornings or two weekday evenings, plus a weekend morning. However we are super flexible to work around people….shift workers we can make this work 😊
Price – £40 a week, includes 1 accompanied hack with a qualified member of staff once a week plus reduced rates on lessons, camps and clinics. You will also always get your share horse or pony for any lessons, camps or clinics you book. On your assigned days you will be responsible for your horse/pony including feeding, mucking out, poo picking, grooming etc. Those who are deemed experienced enough by our chief coach will be able to hack and school unsupervised. Please don’t be surprised if you are told you are not ready for this. This decision will have been made for yours and our ponies safety.
This scheme is available for children aged 6 and upwards. All children will be closely supervised so parents can drop off and leave children if that is what suits, or parents are welcome to join us and learn too!
*We do all the work when you are not here, mucking out and care of the pony so you do not have to visit twice a day.
*You do not have to worry about finding a suitable horse or pony, not easy at all!! OR pay a lump sum to buy it.
*You do not have to worry about outgrowing the pony your child is currently sharing in height or ability….you just swap your share on to someone else.
*You do not have to worry about vet bills, worming, horse dentist, farrier etc etc!!
*You will be outdoors having fun, in the fresh air and making friends.
*Children will be learning to be responsible by caring for their pony.
All our sharers have their own individual goals, the most popular one being to eventually be able to ride their horse or pony along the beach.
