I am utterly heartbroken to break the news that we have lost our incredible’Big Jack’ today 💔💔💔💔 It still doesn’t seem real and I can confirm these days don’t get any easier …. In fact I think they are getting harder. 💔💔 The price we pay for loving them so so SO much. However I am taking comfort from the fact he was so happy, fit and healthy right up until the last few days. He had the most fantastic fun in a jump lesson with one of his all time favourite people on Tuesday evening and really was the picture of health and happiness right up until Friday 🥺

He had been under the weather over the weekend and despite all of our efforts (the LME team and our brilliant vet Paul) this morning it was clear he was deteriorating, not improving as we had hoped, so we raced up to Western Counties Equine Hospital praying they could help him. HUGEST Thankyou Mollie Trethewey for coming with me …. So grateful for you 🙏🏻🫶

The team at the hospital agreed colic surgery was an option as despite being 25 he was so fit and healthy, but it was a race against time and he was heading into surgery within an hour of us arriving. Sadly once the surgery was underway it became apparent how poorly he was inside 💔💔 and we had to agree not to wake him up from the surgery. One of THE s******t days.

There are no words to describe how much we will miss him. He was the definition of a real life unicorn who I loved and adored more than words, as we all did. He really was part of our LME family and it always feels almost impossible to move on without them. 💔😭

I know how many of you guys he helped over the years and how many of you are going to be heartbroken this evening….I’m so so sorry….we did everything we could to help him….he was just too poorly.

This Friday 21st March, is my favourite of all the Flying Changes Mindset workshops. I love them all but this one, every time I hear it or deliver it, gives me such a 🤯moment in my brain but in such a good way.

Have you been setting goals and sort of starting to get somewhere then life gets in the way, other things happen and your goal seems to get put aside?

This is what has happened 100% in my life and so by using the skills I’m learning with the NLP training and the amazing sessions from Jenni I am now able to reevaluate, re map those goals and a plan and process to achieve them.

Your goal is personal to you, it’s not what someone else thinks you should do, it’s what YOU want to do. TEST RIDING CLINIC

After such an incredible 24/25 Autumn/Winter Dressage Training series, we had some very sad faces last night that it was the last one until next Autumn. We also have a lot of keen people who are planning a busy Spring/Summer of competing, as well as some people wanting to take part in their first Dressage Competition this year, plus everyone in between SO….

On TUESDAY 22nd APRIL we are going to be holding a ‘Test Riding Clinic’ at the usual time that we would be holding our training clinics. We will have the dressage arena set up and you will be given a time slot to come in and ride your test. The judge (Rachel) will then chat to you about how it went and what could be improved and you then get the chance to come in and ride through your test again.

Very informal. Suitable for everyone. Warm up will be in the arena and in a lesson type setting. A fantastic chance to ride through a test, get some feedback and then have chance to ride through it again. Tests can be called so no pressure to remember them!

What an amazing experience Harriet and Easy had on Saturday. They were nominated to take part in the England Pony Club Mounted Games Trials at Dallas Burston in Warwickshire. This was a HUGE deal with the England Team being selected for Windsor Horse Show and the 2025 season at these trials.

Harriet, Easy and Emma (Harriet’s wonderfully supportive Mum) left on Friday lunchtime to head up and stay close by, ready for the 8.30am tack inspection on Saturday morning. Mandy and I headed up first thing Saturday morning and made it just in time to watch the trials. This was such a huge deal for Harriet and we are so very proud of her. The trials lasted over three hours, thank goodness Harriet and Easy are super fit! To top it off Easy isn’t Harri’s usual games pony, but we had to do a last minute swop only a few days before the competition so it was an even bigger deal to actually get there at all, let alone get there, enjoy it and be even keener to come back again next year.

It was an incredible day to experience for us all and Harriet has come away from the weekend with huge dreams and aspirations to compete in mounted games internationally….so watch this space!! Full steam ahead!! We can’t wait to support her in her next chapter 🫶🫶

So on Saturday whilst the amazing team at LME ran a Pony Club Day AND a Saturday Club, some of our LME Pony Club members headed off to compete in our local PC Triathlon. Lots were giving it a go for the first time and I think it’s safe to say we all had an awesome day! Thankyou East Cornwall and North Cornwall Pony Club🥰

HUGE shout out to Bonnie and Naomi who were in the rosettes. Bonnie came 5th in her class and Naomi came 2nd and qualified for the Winter Triathlon Championships at the end of the month 🥰🎉💕

Mandy (our chief coach) and I loved being able to come along and support everyone and we are so excited that our Triathlon family is growing like mad 🥰

We had SUCH a super busy Saturday yesterday 🥰 You always know it’s going to be a busy day if I am being chief parking attendant from first thing 🤣 Thankyou to everyone who smiled graciously and squeezed in to a small space to make it work 🫶

We had our all day ladies Saddle Club, all of our Saturday Sharers, a Pony Club Badge Rally, Two Pony Club Exams, a Working Equitation Clinic and A Wild Wellies Session 🫣🫣

The weather was perfect and thanks to our dream team the day ran like clockwork!! Huge well done to our girlies who passed their Pony Club Exams. Very proud of you all 😘😘😘

On Friday whilst Julie and Sarah ran a Half Term Fun Day at LME and Miriam taught Private lessons all day, some of our LME Pony Club members headed out to a Mini Champs Qualifier Competition at Poldice. It was so wet and windy in the morning I don’t think any of us were feeling like we wanted to go, however I am so glad we did!! Our LME riders were on fire 🔥🥰!!

Isla went to her first ever SJ competition and jumped two double clears on the wonderful Eddie coming 7th in both of their classes!! Dolcie was at her second ever SJ competition and rode Ollie so beautifully coming 5th in their first class and 2nd in their next class. Esme was super pleased with her pony Harley and was part of the team coming second in her class. Emily and Rolo flew around both of their classes coming 6th and a fantastic 2nd place in their second class. Marla came an amazing 1st in her second class, less than a second ahead of Emily and Rolo. Evelyn did so well and came 4th in this class as well as a team second alongside Marla, Emily and Esme. We also ended up with team first in the last class with Emily, Marla and Evelyn.

We have had a fantastic day today with our Pony Club Mounted Games Teams.

HUGE thankyou to the amazing Alex, international games rider and his wonderful Mum Sarah for travelling down to us in Cornwall again.

It’s so amazing to be able to offer such a fab day of training for our games teams and definitely not something we take for granted. We are SUPER grateful and can’t wait for next time 🥰🥰

Busy start to the Half Term week 🥰 Sarah and Miriam have been here at LME teaching Private lessons all day and Mandy and I (Rachel) have been at Colraine Equestrian Centre holding a clinic with grid work sessions and the hugely popular Arena Cross Country.

We didn’t manage many photos from Colraine as we were so busy, but my goodness we have had the BEST day!! Thankyou SO much to all of you who came along….we are SO grateful for all your support 🫶 The HUGEST well done to all of you….we saw some amazing riding, some incredibly happy ponies and riders, there was lotssssss learnt and most importantly lots and lots of fun was had.

We are hoping to hold another day clinic elsewhere soon so watch this space!!

To everyone who has sent SUCH lovely messages this evening …. THANKYOU!! You are the reason why these 17/18 hour days seem SO worthwhile 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Beyond grateful for you all 🫶🫶😘😘

Our Chief Coach Mandy and I headed off to a Pony Club Triathlon on Saturday to support some of our LME Pony Club Members who were competing. It was a lovely day and we loved being able to be there and support them. We don’t always make it to the triathlons when we are busy teaching, but we were determined to make this one and we did 🥰🥰

A triathlon consists of shooting (or bean bag throwing if you are aren’t yet old enough to shoot!) running and then swimming. If anyone fancies giving it a go please let us know. We would love to welcome more to our Triathlon family. Also great for ‘non riding’ brothers and sisters….perfect for the whole family!!

Huge well done to our superstars who came 8th as a team and to Naomi who came second individually 🥰

HUGEST HUGEST HUGEST THANKYOU to all of you who have so SO kindly given up your time to help us over the past week. It is appreciated more than you could imagine. We are SO so grateful.

I am very pleased and proud to report that we have flown through our annual Equestrian Centre inspection today and retained our “top” rating of 5 stars for another year. It is so lovely to hear such positive comments from the visiting vet. Now for a year of adventures and fun 🙂

To those who have been trying to get hold of us over the past few days, huge apologies but in the run up to the inspection we are all on the yard ensuring everything is sorted and we are ready. I know we have got back to some of you and I promise we will get back to you tomorrow morning if we haven’t already.

✨ Willberry's Wishes: Ellie's Pony Party 🐴🐴✨

Now everybody knows that Willberry is the original party animal, and always top of the invitation list because of the way he can flash his hooves! So can you imagine how excited he was when a recent Willberry Wish application came in for a pony party... 🍰🦄🎈

This special pony party was for 10-yr old Ellie. She has osteosarcoma, the same cancer as Hannah had. Her wish was to have a party at her school so that all her classmates could be there too – a grand total of 38 children!

It was Willberry's biggest-ever wish, and a day filled with cake, ponies and most importantly.. lots of incredible smiles and special memories. You can read more about Willberry's Wish to Ellie here: https://bit.ly/ElliesPonyParty

It was a wonderful and humbling wish to create for Ellie, she is the most incredible young girl with the heart of a lion, and we have been so happy to be able to do this for her at such a tough time. As Hannah always said, dream big, fight hard and never give up ❤️💙

We had the privilege of meeting Amy and the animals at Little Margate Therapy Ponies recently.

The team are doing amazing work to support young people and adults with their wonderful animals, which include miniature ponies, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks and pigs.

They are based just on the edge of Cardinham Woods.
