What an incredibly WET Royal Cornwall Show we had!! It was beyond soaking for most of Saturday and at one point there was a question mark over whether everything was going to be called off, including the mounted games display. However the rain finally stopped and we were able to go ahead!!

HUGEST HUGEST HUGEST Thankyou to every single person who stayed on to support us, despite being soaked through. We had more people watching the display than we ever have before at the RCS and it honestly meant the world. 🫶🙏🏻

Huge thanks to all who have been so kind about our organisation, my commentary 🫣 and our riders and ponies. We are so so super proud as always. The LME senior team came second. Two points behind an incredibly amazing looking team from the South Devon West PC. Edie and Max rode for the Tiverton PC again and came third 🥹 They are so talented and blow me away with how well they cope in the county show environments with team members they have never worked with before!! I am so proud of every single rider and pony that came into that ring yesterday. Conditions definitely were not fantastic but everyone had the very best time and did us proud. We are so grateful to all the parents and trainers who brought their children and teams along to take part. It was soooooo lovely to see everyone and so special to have three England games riders there riding with us all. Thanks so much Hannah, Tess and Emma 🫶😘

Same again next year everyone??!! !! But hopefully in much sunnier conditions 🙏🏻🫣🙏🏻

Six of our LME Pony Club mounted games riders are taking part in the mounted games display tomorrow….SATURDAY at 4.30pm over in ring two!!

********NEWSFLASH********

Due to a couple of unavoidable cancellations, we now have a few spaces available for our NON JUMPING DAY CAMP on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th June.

This is for anyone and everyone who fancies a two day ‘day’ camp with no jumping involved!!

No pressure to do anything you don’t feel comfortable with. Suitable for ages 8-100.

We will be offering hacking through the forestry, in hand lessons, dressage lessons, flatwork sessions, formation riding (riding to music), I could go on and on!! You will be able to choose what you do and don’t want to do.

Yummy lunch provided both days, then head home for a sleep and a recharge, before heading back for a full day of camp fun on the Sunday 🙂

Coaches are Mandy and Rachel, plus Cassy for the formation riding 🙂

Bring your own horse OR use one of our LME unicorns 🙂

Another slightly late half term update 🫣

So on Tuesday we had our Pony Club Day with some members taking their D plus test, some very exciting ‘filming’ taking place (more to follow on this soon but at the moment it’s top secret!!) as well as some very special visitors who arrived to see us all in the afternoon to help our members pass their fire badge.

It was a very wet day but we certainly didn’t let that put us off!! And the hugest Thankyou to Bodmin Community Fire Station for coming to visit us. We all loved it 🥰

The Pony Club

Today we are closed. 😴😴😴

It’s been a super duper busy week and we have all loved every single minute! We have had so so much fun and have made memories that we will all remember forever. Our horses and ponies have loved every single minute too, bouncing through the week with their ears pricked and the happiest of faces 🫶🥹🥰💕

But….with all that fun and chaos, it’s also so important to rest. So today the yard will be as quiet as we can make it and all of our horses and ponies are having a rest day and enjoying some well deserved peace and quiet. 🫶

Hugest hugest thanks to everyone who has supported us this week….we have honestly had the best week with you all 😘😘

I really really need to start updating you all on what has been the most amazing whirlwind of a half term!

I’ll start with Monday which was THE MOST AMAZING DAY 🫶

It was an early start to head off to the Pony Club Area Mounted Games Competition on Dartmoor. It was an incredibly windy and freeeeeeezing cold day which made for slightly challenging conditions for all, but our LME members and ponies didn’t let it put them off and were just incredible! I am struggling to find the words as to quite how amazing they were! It wasn’t until I was home that night and warmed up slightly, that I realised quite what a day it had been! 🫣🫣

Our Senior A team won the tack and turnout competition which was so deserved after hours of scrubbing the day before 🥰 They also then went on to win their races looking more competent than I have ever seen them before. This means they have qualified for the zone finals in July. So very proud of them as they haven’t had it easy this year. We have had to have two pony changes for various reasons, plus a team member drop out last minute, however they didn’t let it put them off and they absolutely smashed it!! Super super proud 🫶

Our Senior B team came second to our other LME Senior team in the tack and turnout competition which was amazing to have 1st and 2nd place. They then raced their socks off and managed an epic third place in the races. This team is a novice team and they have also had their fair share of disruptions in the lead up to the competition, so this was a huge achievement for them 🥰 I was so pleased they all finished the day smiling and keen to have another go again next year 🥰

Our Junior team won their tack and turnout competition which again was so well deserved after hours of scrubbing the day before and then went on to win their races too!! This means they have also qualified for the zone finals in July. Super proud of them and how hard they have worked to be in this position 🫶 They were just incredible!!

We then moved on to the Pairs competition. Eliza and Harri had their first go at the Pairs competition and blew us away by winning that as well 🤯🤯 Totally unexpected and they were understandably so happy. I am still speechless and insanely proud 🫶🫶

It was an amazing day (despite the wind) and certainly not one we will forget about in a hurry! Huge thanks to Alice for organising such a lovely day 😘 and a huge well done to all the other clubs and trainers who we love seeing 🥰

Now time to start some training in prep for zones 💪🏻

Half Term is fast approaching and bookings are filling up fast which is super exciting :) We can not wait for a week full of fun :)

OUR MAY HALF TERM DATES ARE OUT AND OPEN FOR BOOKINGS 🙂 And we are SUPER excited about it 🙂

PONY CLUB DAY….suitable for all our LME Pony Club members.

CATHERINE is also here teaching Private and Semi Private lessons all day from 9am - 5pm.

Sunday 25th May….
SARAH is here teaching Private and Semi Private lessons all day.

Monday 26th May….
SARAH is here teaching Private and Semi Private lessons all day.

There will also be HACKS THROUGH THE FORESTRY for all ages and abilities running throughout the day.

Tuesday 27th May….
PONY CLUB DAY for all LME Pony Club members. This will also be an ‘Intro to Pony Club Day’ for those who would like to give Pony Club a go and see what it’s all about before signing up for their membership.

BITTING CLINIC. We have also been lucky enough to secure Charlotte Warman Bitting Solutions to come to us at LME for a days clinic. Perfect for anyone with your own horse/pony who would like help choosing what bit to use. It’s a minefield and Charlotte is a Lanta certified professional bit and bridle fitter. Bookings open on Ec Pro under ‘Events.’ Any problems please just ask.

Wednesday 28th May….
RACHEL will be teaching Private and Small Group Lessons all day on Wednesday. These are not currently bookable on Ec Pro so please pop us a message or an email to get booked in 🙂 Suitable for those on their own horses/ponies, share horses/ponies or our very regular LME riders.

Thursday 29th May….
JULIE and CASSY will be teaching Private and GROUP lessons throughout the day from 9am - 5pm.

Friday 30th May….
HALF TERM HOLIDAY CLUB. Perfect for all children/young people from the age of 4-16. This is not a ‘membership’ club so all welcome 🙂

CATHERINE is also here teaching Private/Semi Private lessons all day.

Saturday 31st May….
Adult’s SADDLE CLUB with Mandy. All welcome 🙂

SARAH is also here teaching Private and Semi Private lessons all day.
