A rather last minute decision to attend but very much worth it,winning the Open cob class🥳🥇

Blowing a gale but another great school day for Ember! There was a horse-eating hedge down the end of the ring which was apparently terrifying 👀 but she did her best to hold herself together for the majority of the trot up🫣🤣
Then into the split championship where she was out of the placings, but was all good experience for her to be amongst others of all breeds and sizes🐴

The very handsome Angus is now squeaky clean after his sheath clean this morning🌟 Behaved impeccably and thoroughly enjoyed it,by doing his best impression of a tapir with his nose wiggling away😆

Blowing a gale and very much eyes on stalks but it's all experience/learning for her!😊
Some wonderful comments from the judge and overall a fabulous day out supporting Newquay Riding Club open show🥳

No ring photo's as phone ran out of storage but im hoping the event photographer took some🤞📷

First time undersaddle away from home..in an arena...attempting some form of circles *baby horse and very rusty rider👀*....

First time undersaddle away from home..in an arena...attempting some form of circles *baby horse and very rusty rider👀*..and i survived🥳🤣

Gave her a spin on the long reins just to find her feet before hopping on and doing some figure of 8's over some poles to get her mind going and feet moving! With mum subtly on the end of the line ready to jump in if Ember attempted any acrobatics...or perhaps preparing to catch me🤭🤣 Then finished with a little solo mooch around to end on a good note😊

Overall for her first taste of 'schooling',she did very well..albeit rather tired come the end so head was getting heavy but to be expected!! Over the moon with how she behaved. Hacking is the main box that's ticked, so now to get established flicking her toes💃

Think we're both going to be abit stiff in the morning🤣

A rather soggy but successful day at Launceston Agricultural Show 🥳
Our first outing as a LW Show Cob 👀
Although no inhand Cob class,she bagged a 2nd in the coloured class along with some lovely comments from the judge!🥰
Seems Ember may have an exciting future ahead,based on our collection of comments from our outings so far! 🤭
Now to get her strutting her stuff undersaddle!💃💪

Well at 4am this morning,the weather had me questioning whether I really wanted to pay to get absolutely soaked when I could just stay at home and do that for free, but Ember needed a small grass show under her belt before the Agri show at the end of the month,so bit the bullet🫣🤣

Assuming perhaps it may be a quiet day due to weather..how wrong was i😆
Entered a busy 11-entry Hunter class. Came away out of the placings but she certainly won it in our eyes with how she behaved in the ring!🤗 First time on grass,blowing a gale,flower pots,marquee's,stalls,the neighbouring ridden class cantering past us, along with a 2 row line-up where she stood like a rock - she didn't bat an eyelid! A very successful 'school day!' nonetheless🥰
