💚 Green Groomers Collective

Some of our customers have already mentioned the big poster we have up in our reception, and now is time to chat about Green Groomers Collective

For the past two months or so, we've been collecting our dog hair waste into a separate bin, ready to be sent off to Green Groomers Collective. This amazing organisation recycles dog (and human) hair waste and turns it into so many things, such as

♻️ Oil spillage cleaning mats

♻️ Hair rope

♻️ Particle board

♻️ Plant fertiliser

Joining GGC was such a no brainer, and we've reduced our landfill waste by around 75%! Our first box is finally full up and ready to be picked up, and another collection box is on the way to be filled up and used for good

Good morning everyone,

This is always a message we really don't like to send. Over the past month we've seen an alarming increase in no shows and late cancellations. As per our T&Cs everyone agrees to when filling out our new customer forms, we require a minimum of 24 hours notice if you can no longer make your appointment. Failure to provide us with enough notice may incur a late cancellation / no show fee of 50% (100% for repeat late notice + deposit for future appointments). We are both self employed and only get paid if we have a dog on the table. Just in the last 24 hours, we have lost out on £110 of wages, and people on our waiting list have missed out on appointments as we haven't had the time to fill these spaces. This is a huge financial knock to a small business, and we may have to consider introducing mandatory non-refundable deposits to all appointments.

We offer a complimentary reminder service through our booking software, which sends out reminders 48 hours before your appointment. Please make sure you are double checking the time and date in these reminders, as we've recently also had people turning up on wrong days. If you have chosen to opt out of reminders but want to receive them again, please let us know and we'll reactivate them for you. 🏵️ Flower Power Summer of Love presents Puppy Love 🏵️

We will be attending the Puppy Love event on 1st September in West Park! This is our first Bognor faire, and we're so excited to be a part of it.

We will have lots of stock of JR Pet Products treats, Peanut & Pickle canine skincare products (shampoos, coat sprays, balms etc) and of course all our knowledge to share with anyone wanting to chat about dog grooming!

Now let's hope our summer is simply delayed and we'll have fantastic weather at the start of September ☀️

Hi everyone!

I hope you've had a great week so far. This is just a quick update on my availability from this month onwards. I will be on holiday 11th-14th July, and on a work trip with in Las Vegas for Superzoo Expo 10th-20th August. During these times any salon related messages on social media will not get a response, but Charlotte will be in the salon as usual so any bookings can be made by call/text on 07810 276117.

From 9th September onwards I will also only be available for grooming appointments Tuesday to Friday (+usual Saturday once a month for current Saturday regulars). I am taking on extra responsibility with Peanut & Pickle on top of my current social media manager duties, which is a very exciting opportunity! I will also be away from the salon 16th-20th September for training for the role and some fun projects Peanut & Pickle has coming up very soon.

This means that pre booking your appointments with both myself and Charlotte at least a few ahead is incredibly important, as our combined availability is reducing. All appointments are first come first served, so if you have a preference on groomer / day of the week / time, please get in touch and we'll get a couple of appointments booked in for you.

Good morning!

The salon will be closed for a long weekend due to some building work being carried out today. Any messages on the salon phone will be responded to on Monday, but social media messages will be monitored as normal today and tomorrow morning.

🏆 Liz Paul Awards 2024 Influencer of the Year FINALIST!

I am beyond shocked at my nomination at the Liz Paul Awards in the Influencer of the Year category. I am still a very small creator in a huge sea of talented people, so just being up there with the likes of and absolutely blows my mind. Liz Paul Awards is arguably one of the most prestigious awards in the grooming industry.

Thank you to everyone who felt like I deserved a nomination, I wouldn't be where I am with my career without all of you who watch my videos and share them with friends. Thank you to every single one of you who stop for a chat at shows and message me with questions. Being a content creator on social media is absolutely nothing without the people who take the time to watch and interact with our content. ❤️

And just like that, another year has rolled round! The salon is celebrating its third birthday today, and I just once again want to say a big thank you to all our amazing clients for another successful year.

As always, I couldn't have done it without my wonderful partner in crime , you are as much DGN as I am.

Personally the past year has been absolutely insane for me as a groomer. I was asked to join the brand ambassador team and I have made some incredible friends along the way. I was also invited to host my own social media seminar at the Groomer's Market in Aldershot, and to finish off I also got to work at the Peanut & Pickle stand at Crufts last month.

It's been a whirlwind of a year but I am so excited to see what our fourth year brings! Thank you everyone who has been a part of it so far. 🩵

We've been collecting our dog hair waste for around two months now, and the box is finally ready to head back to @greengroomerscollective to be processed into so many different things! Hi dog owner! Please communicate with your dog groomer as clearly as possible if you are after something specific. Breed standard cuts are very easy as they've been set in stone a long time ago, but if you request something like a 'teddy bear cut' or a 'puppy cut', please be prepared to bring photos!
